Instead of bringing a tree into my house,

this year I've decided to just move into the forest.

: )
I like Jim Gaffigan's explanation:

I'd forgotten what your daughter looked like without a purple butterfly on her face. ^_^

Quite like the most adorable 3 year old on the planet. But I may be slightly biased. ;)

I'm more jazzed that she's currently working on Bach Inventions. They're probably among his most underrated works. Fun stuff.

When it comes to both Two Part and Three Part Inventions, few can hold a musical candle to Archangelo Spumoni, however.
I noticed that as well. I've yet to tackle any of the three parts.... they kind of scare me. How 'bout you, Helloooo? have you done any of those?

I checked out the 3 part inventions album from the library and sight read a little bit from each invention... one that struck my fancy out of the 3-parters was number 15 in b minor. I made a copy of number 15 but have not invested any time learning yet. The inventions feel kind of like those hanon exercises.

Soooo, the decorating elves overruled my inner Scrooge and the decorations are up. Needless to say, a small place becomes smaller with the addition of a tree................... 100_0262.jpg

These are some things I made this year. :) I wanted something fun, so I went with a candyland theme this year with lots of colored lights:

1. I don't know if you can see the colored lights between the glass pieces, but this is a Christmas nightlight box for my entryway -

2. My toile lampshades clashed with my Christmas décor, so I grabbed my glue gun and stuck glass "gumdrops" and a Victorian style music paper ornament to a small cream shade -

3. I mentioned in another thread that I have a thing for peacocks. :) I made a couple of these, one for my sister and one for a friend. :)

Very cute, Jullianna...nice touch with the peacock feathers! (I'm afraid of having live plants indoors, so i stuck peacock feathers in one of my vases). The paper flower you made looks really intricate.

Thanks!

I actually did not make the paper flower. I bought that part, added the red stone and glued it on. :)

Love the plate! You could eat a piece of pie and then have some readin material when you're done! That's the most novel thing....
