Am I barely aware of being conscious, or am I barely conscious of being aware? And why must the choir of frustrated subconscious minions mock my very existence?

You should seek a deliverance ministry -> Casting out demons
I was under the impression that this thread was for thoughts on consciousness an other random wanderings, and that responses to posts were discouraged. And I do hope that your suggestion that I seek a deliverance ministry was not meant as a judgmental slight against a new member. I just left an atheist site that was littered with mean hearted people, both atheists and theists alike. I'm hoping I can find a home here and not have to decide to leave because people can't control their tongues.

Luke 14:10-11 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee. For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Oh, my mistake, the reference to psychedelic drugs in your username and avatar stood out.

I was thinking that if you're consuming mescaline then you're open to all kinds of demonic attack, so there you go.

The short answer: Yes. The long answer: why not?

iTOREtheSKY did something that reminded me of something Jesus pointed out. Remember when the widow went quietly over to the offering plate (or whatever they called it) and put in just a tiny bit of money? Jesus said that she had given a lot more than the rich men (who were very obvious about the large donations they were proudly adding to the pot). The reason was because she gave all she had; whereas they gave out of their excess. What made me think of this was when iTORE offered Aimee that if she wanted to PM him and swear all she wanted and get it out of her system, she was more than welcome to do so. That was what he had, and he offered it.

I know; not exactly the same analogy, but his offer made me think of that passage of scripture, and it still seems like a very sweet gift Jim gave Aimee, even several days after I first read it :').

Nice of you to say Jilly, but I don't think you'd find many who'd agree with you, thinking that was a sweet thing I offered her,but more of a "Man, that iTORE dude needs to get saved!" lol :)

Hehe :)! Well, as someone who once whispered "crap" under her breath and then felt sad that she'd done so, and spent the next few hours repenting, it wasn't something that I personally was going to offer Aimee. Yet, at the same time, it seemed very sweet that you did so yourself, Jim; you thought it might help (would it truly? IDK :)), so you gave her that option. You presumably did it for no reason other than to help. Is it a case of doing the wrong thing for the right reason? Well, perhaps, but I still find that to be so much more heart-warming than doing the opposite. It shows a kind heart. *hugs* :')
