So this morning, while looking up
pretty melodic bass guitarists on youtube, I read all kinds of comments putting bass guitarist who worked hard to be able to write their own music on their bass, saying that "chords on bass guitar are easier than on guitar" and "they were just bad guitarists who gave up and played bass instead". I was pretty grumpy, and decided to show off some guitar playing from someone who writes music on their own on their bass guitar.
Ive played bass guitar for years, after hearing Peter Hooks melodic bass on Joy Divisions "Love Will Tear Us Apart" I knew I wanted to play bass guitar. After a few years of playing bass I finally picked up a friends old acoustic and read a book teaching how to play guitar chords. It took me a few minutes just to learn some open chords : p
So yeah, I recorded this today. I barely ever touch my guitar, I really just bought it in hopes to one day add to my music on my bass guitar if I ever learn how to actually record music of my own. I dont play it much, and I didnt even tune it. I just picked it up and played this real fast in response to pompousy anti-bass guitarist on youtube, haha.
