There's a pan of shortbread cooling on top of the stove. It's for the guests coming over tonight but the temptation to eat half of it before then is very real.
Also, I think I did something kind of girly, which is pretty out of character for me. I bought this metal mirror thing ( think of it as your usual fold up pocket mirror type thing, but instead of glass it just has polished metal surfaces). It's even got flowers on the cover. Maybe I can regain my nerdy girl cred by saying that I bought it for the practicality of an unbreakable mirror and because I thought it was a brilliant idea not because I actually had any need to check my make up anywhere and everywhere. Or at least that's what I assume females use such mirrors for.

I actually worked out tonight! First time in a long time, maybe 2 months. I was surprised I could still jog more than a mile without getting sore or tired. I stopped after a mile and a half because I didn't want to overdo it. Then I lifted some waits. 
It felt good to be back! Grrrrrr!!!
