I think Italy is a good one. From what I've heard is seriously so chill. Shops aren't open 24/7 and things aren't all I want it now. I've heard a lot of shops are even closed in the evening so they can spend time with family. Nothing gets in the way of family there. It's extremely important to them.
Again that might not be completely accurate, but if it is...we should really take lessons from them. And I do know for a fact most Europeans do not condone GMO and heavy use of pesticides. And, a little fun fact for ya. A lot of people who are gluten intolerant in the States go to Italy ad eat their pasta, eat their garlic bread and pizza and don't have a single issue with it.
Says something about how the US prepares their food.
US food is just awful honestly. as for say Ukraine well they don't eat as much as Americans do also many walk everywhere they go or use public transport. I have seen Americans so lazy that they can live 1/2 a block from the gas station (they could easy walk) but waddle out to the car, start it back out drive 1/2 a block to the station, go in buy a ton of garbage to eat, waddle back out to the car, drive home and waddle in. these same people will wonder why they are dead at 45.

The clover has arrived!

At the first of spring, before anything else starts growing in our yard, amid all the dead grass from last year... clover appears. It is always the first to come up, and with no competition this early in the season it takes over the whole yard. And I do mean the whole flippin yard! It's really pretty and it doesn't grow very tall. I wish it would stay all year round.

On the other hand, it's somewhat perilous to walk through the yard right now. Honeybees, bumblebees, wasps, red wasps, yellowjackets, all are taking an avid interest in the clover.

I have a dog looking at me with the most pitiful eyes and quietly whimpering. It's like the dripping of a faucet, and he knows it drives me nuts (the worst part is, I'm not 100% sure what we wants. He might still be hungry). I'm also tired-ish. Mainly just a little lonely. Meh. :p

I'm gonna try to sleep now. G'night, all. Love you all.
Maybe he was feeling a wee bit lonely too and just wanted a hug?

So today I ran across a video called "How Well do You know Yourself?" Anyway, it was referring to horoscopes, personality tests, etc. Each person gave certain types of data, such as birth date, and then they received their personal horoscope. None were allowed to share with the others until they had a few minutes to look at them and decide how accurate it was in regards to them. They all said it was creepily accurate. Now here is where the interesting part comes in. All four people received the exact same copy. Basically the point of the video was that horoscopes and other stuff are based on generalities of people. So, if it comes across as fairly accurate, it's because they apply to everyone.

So Roh, sorry dude, you are not an original. Well, at least in the horoscope world.

If I were you, I would have nothing to do with that so called "Translation" of the Bible. First, the Lego scenes were not created by a Christian or Jewish Person, but by an atheist who has an agenda.

The Brick Testament

Here is just a sample.

Second, it is a Bible that is completely inappropriate for children, in how it depicts certain scenes.

I have a feeling he also might pick and choose certain passages, and totally ignore others. But then I could be wrong on that.

If it weren't for the fact that he really is trying to turn people away from God, if he were a Christian and accurately depicts the whole Bible in away that is tasteful and safe for children, then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Nah, the creator didn't have an agenda, at least, not an agenda to discredit the Bible. I have the Lego Brick OT and NT books and they're very good (if more tame than the website). Yes, there's a focus on the more intense parts of God's Word, but that's not all there is. Also, the translation isn't anything new (it's basically the NKJV). I wouldn't give it to children, but teenagers and up would be the ideal audience for such a book (not as their primary Bible of course). Finally, God can use all things for His glory. Yes, even an atheist spending years illustrating much of the Bible with Lego.

I didn't say it was a translation of the bible. I just thought it was kind of cool to see legos depicted as bible characters. *shrugs* and (ducks)

I am into nostalgia.

Its more collector aimed because a lot of stuff like legos is built on nostalgia anyway. I promise you that. Most kids I know today like smart phones and ipad air than toys like legos or Batman or whatever. Tech trumps toys, which is kind of sad. These are young kids I see, too, obsessed with this techy kind of stuff.

Yeah, one person I gave it to is a 34 year old Christian who also happens to love legos. The other person I gave it to is a 24 year old who believers in Biblical literalism (actually they both are). And the other person requested it as a gift, which is my sister and how I discovered it. They can certainly throw it away if they want.

They're all adults and they'll be fine.

back to eating my gummibrusts ... lol

Went to a school play tonight for my kids school. They weren't in it because it's only for 4,5, and 6th grades and they are in 2nd and 3rd, but they wanted to see their friends who were in the play. It was called Go West and it was very good. It was only 45 minutes long. When it ended I wasn't sure if it was ending or if it was intermission, but then the kids bowed and I thought, wow, that's it?

Their school does very quick show's. At the music show they have a list of what you shouldn't do at the concert,

Turn off your phone

No flash photo's

Standing ovation's at the end

No talking

I think the world should know that by now, but you'd be surprised. My Sister love's their shows because they're so efficient. I'm not sure if it's the Montessori in them or what, but they are good.
