So I was browsing in a store in the touristy part of town yesterday, and a lady was trying on a leather hat. She hemmed and hawed about it, saying to her friend that she didn't know if she was a hat person or not. Without thinking about it, I blurted out, "Well, you should become one, because you look great in that!" As I walked away, I overheard her tell her friend that she was going to get the hat.


I wonder....do I have to use these powers for good?

Turn around, go back to the store and demand a commission for the sale. Do it now! Stand up and fight for what is rightfully yours!

you had me at homemade mac and cheese with smoked gouda (i like gruyere/swiss, cheddar and a little gorgonzola also) with a panko topping... but lost me on the peppers. ; p however sometimes i like ham with my mac and cheese.

my other comfort foods:

potatoes au gratin with ham
some heavy, chowder-y soup or stew, like rosemary chicken and white bean soup, beef bourguignon or cassoulet
breakfast...eggs, bacon, and homemade biscuits, or quiche. or waffles and bacon.

So I just sat down to do my taxes for 2014. Standard 1040ez, no problem, I do this stuff in my head... until I get down to line 11, about health insurance. Specifically about my lack of health insurance - I HAD insurance until 2014 when the government made it too expensive. Now I have to pay a "shared responsibility" fine.

ATTENTION EVERYONE WHO HATES CAPITALISM: Well now we have socialism. Happy now?
