Tales of Financial Aid, Pt. 2: Electric Boogaloo!

As previously stated, my fall 2013 semester should be paid for, even though I will probably be in some kind of "emergency save every penny oh my gosh free stuff I need that oh look a penny on the floor!" mode. It honestly depends on how much time the course work will require, but I do want to try and get a job for work-study. There are side-gigs like freelancing, YouTubing and video streaming that I could attempt but I doubt that would net very much money.

The spring 2014 semester is really what would be an issue. I called the student financial assistance department just now and it's possible that I could get a $1,000 scholarship for that semester, which would go a pretty long way to covering the difference. I would need to have some cash saved up to get the rest taken care of. So there's a ray of light there.

I need to apply to about seventy billion scholarships to hopefully win something.

If I'm not mistaken about where in the state MissCris lives, it'll only be a 25+ hour drive.

You'll definitely need the coffee :p

T-2 days until my burfday.

My pastor gave me a little devotional book when I finished my membership class. I'm not sure I like it. Takes a whole five minutes and doesn't really go too in depth. Plus, it usually references two passages for each day and one of them is always a psalm. I find the psalms to be boring.
learn to continue to listen to your new heart God implanted in you, the first day you believed
Ephesians 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

I was a bit disturbed by the "Proud To Be a Christian" sign I saw.

I just sat there staring at it going... "Ummmm... really?"

No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get it to make sense.

Pride tells us that WE decide what is right or wrong; good or evil... without the approval of God or others. I guess that makes perfect sense though because the opposite of pride is humility and it requires humbling ourselves to God and one another to judge righteously.

So I have found another oxymoron to add to my short list... proud Christian. Christian = Christ-like
Jesus was NEVER proud.
Pray for that one. Pride comes before the fall.
[h=3]Micah 6:8[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]8 [/SUP]He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

Repent and be saved.... I always believed it to go in that order.
Jesus saves us, then we choose to repent out of our love and obedience.
May be a little deeper We choose to believe and out of God's deep love for us first that we see we thus love back, maybe to the same depth. So the deeper one sees this depth the deeper one will love back.
For we are the creation not the creators are we?
1 John 4:19 We love Him because He first loved us.
Result
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

A faithful slave waits upon his or her master.

Goodmorning to those who see the morning sun. We are blessed with another day to serve with a humble heart. I hope His Word will be etched across our hearts, minds, and souls: That we may love as He loves.

I've been 22 for nine hours now.

22 is a really boring age.

The life of the slave belongs to He who paid the price for the slave.

I need to continue to serve others as much as I possibly can with Master's example of His selflessness.

I dunno why, but life just feels like it's getting a bit more calm, and a little more stable, and that I KNOW pieces will fall where they're supposed to go. No need to force or twist them in. They'll simply fit. All I have to do is do what I need to do to get there.

I'm making a goal for myself is within the next two weeks to exercise enough. I want to get to the point where each day I'm able to do 30 minutes on my exercise bike and 15-20 situps.
