You've learned nothing you need the spirit and a life time of disappointment

I heard that Gene Kelly was a great dancer but he was actually pretty brutal, and if you couldnt dance as well as him your toes would turn black and blue.

Actually I think it was either Debbie Reynolds or Cyd Charisse who claimed that they danced with him till their feet were bleeding.

Of course, you dont see that on the silver screen that magically removes all flaws in the final edit (and adds sound effects)

You've learned nothing you need the spirit and a life time of disappointment
I already went through a life time of disappointment, and I have already received God's spirit and His grace. Otherwise, I would have given up a long time ago. Otherwise, I wouldn't have posted this thread.

If there's anything I'm learned from this forum, as good as what it is at what it's trying to accomplish, there is a bigger number of trolls, condescension, and self righteous people than what I realized. Something else I have learned, that goes with my lifetime of disappointment and something that I have been observing for years, are people who proclaim to be saved by Christ, but really use the title of Christian to try and justify their rudeness and their arrogance. I've seen it on here, my old church, and even among some people I once considered my friends. Women I liked in the past who I thought were saved turned out to not be.

All this in the course of my life has led me to talk about things like this, and it comes to no surprise that I suspect that you are nothing more than a condescending troll, trying to bring people like me, and others down. It's sad because I was hoping to have more people of understanding and may have gone through where I was, or currently going through to help them.

But, apparently, as someone on here implied, it's a clown's job to make people happy. One of the most untrue statements I've read, because Jesus not only helped people but He also made them happy. Would that make Him a clown then, based on this implication? I don't see how this does, and I'm sure someone will come up with a lame excuse that's not Biblical.

The bottom line is this, I've went through trials and I've went through disappointment. I'm currently seeing people who are going through what I had, some of them family and friends. If I can help out, but not do everything for them, I'm more than willing to sacrifice my time to do so. God didn't have to send His Son to die for us, but He did because he loves us. Jesus didn't have to heal the sick, raise the dead, nor preach His Father's will and how to live life, but He did because He loves us. Many of us will receive the Spirit under different circumstances and events.

Mine has been failing to see my own short comings in trying to pursue the perfect woman, when there's no such individual. That's why I have stopped looking to try and get a woman that I would have deemed perfect when they're not. I've been happier, much more involved with my friends, and I'm meeting new people because I'm not as desperate. So to say that I haven't received the Spirit is a very inaccurate thing to say.

If I had to point out people that haven't received it is people like yourself, who try and tear down others while implicating self righteousness on your end, rather than being a helping hand. Very much like what the pharisees had done. They can talk a good game, and they can teach good lessons, but they only saw themselves as better than everyone else and never believed what they preached. And one of the reasons why they hated Christ, and always spat on what He said, was because He lived what he had preached and inspired others to do so as well. He gave constructive criticism, but never tore down others for personal gain. What I'm seeing on here is a bunch pharisee-like people who are trying to do the same to others who are trying to help. So we can go at this all day, if you'd like, or you can take your trolling else where, but I won't give up.

There's always room to learn, regardless of age and experience. That includes both you and me. I'm still learning and it will never end. I'd rather it be that way because it helps me grow in faith and my social life. The only thing I wish that I should have learned sooner was how to my confidence stronger. But I can say that today, it's so much better than where it was before. I allowed the Spirit to actually work more in that area. After that, I've noticed how many more people, in general, actually want to talk and do things with me because of my attitude adjustment, due to my new found confidence. As far as marriage with a woman, I couldn't say one way or the other if it'll happen. Sure, there are women at this place I'm dancing at that spark my interest, but I'm not doing anything with them because I'm focusing on me and, honestly, I actually want to get better with my dancing ability. I can say this, though, they enjoy dancing with me because I have improved and continuing to improve, where I can say that, without being arrogant, I'm pretty decent, which is what they probably think (and know). So I am learning and allowing the Spirit to continue to work through me. I hope it's doing the same with you.

I speak for both of us because I taught I learned a lot being Christian with a taught life but the spirit showed me I knew nothing because even though I learned a lot it was just the beginning

Your Clown job description...make people sad?

You now taking offence at clowns? come on!

Gene Kelly, great dancer that he was, even sang about being a clown. and the song was copied into 'make 'em laugh' which was basically the same tune as 'Be a Clown'

Jesus job description wasnt just to make people happy. It was much more, it was to take away sin. Perhaps the curcifixtion and resurrection dont mean that much to you, I dont know. Maybe you still learning about that one.....somone had to take the fall for us.

The dancing is great and its funny but you dont need to watch hollywood musicals to know that life isnt always going to be like that. Its messy and people DO step on each others toes. Plus it takes a LOT of practice. and repetitive movement over and over again.

I think when people get into a rythym dancing can seem like its effortless. But the kind of dancing that you see on tv is not. Its staged and coreeographed and behind it is a lot of broken toes, nazi dance instructors, perfectionism, drug use, eating disorders and drama lol. Like many relationships behind the scenes right?
