I'll have to grab my camera and record a vid of Titan doing peek-a-boo.

Saw a couple, and found some on my cats.
Ok, thanks. The vet this morning said that they had them, but I haven't seen a single flea in the 4-5 days they've been at my house. The shelter said they had fleas, but were given a flea bath. So I don't know if they just have some leftover evidence of past fleas? But it's got me nervous.

I'd use advantage on them, they make it for kittens too.

So I took some time to comb them. I really tried to be as thorough as I could...spent probably 15-20 minutes on each one, and I did see fleas, which bummed me out SO much. But I only found a couple on each of them, and managed to at least kill one (rubbed it hard between my fingers...I know they're tough to kill.) I'm hoping that a flea bath and some medication will take care of it, and in the meantime I'll be keeping them in their room and keeping it vacuumed as best I can. And besides that, I'll be hoping and praying that we don't have any fleas in the rest of the house. You can be sure I'll be vacuuming the rest of it at least twice a week for a bit. Man, I hate vacuuming...

*sigh...*

Give them a flea dip and then move to Colorado, we are darn well near flea free. Fifteen years here and I've never seen a flea on any of my four legged critters.

True...had pets most of my life here, even brought back from NC two flea-ridden cats and the fleas were easy to get rid of once we got settled here.

I think Colorado kills off fleas using a combination of sagebrush, 2% humidity, and the Californians who are trying to take over :D

Hey, not all Californians are trying to take over. Some of us moved here because we liked how Colorado used to be. Blame it on the Texans since they outnumber the Californians.

Fair point.

I dont have a problem with Californians, you know...I've had more negative encounters with local wildlife than with people from California. Flea-free wildlife.

I bet fleas are bigger in Texas.

^I need to get one of those things at some point.

I put my kittens through more torture tonight. Gave them a flea bath and vacuumed their entire room, so I'm really hoping that this will have done the trick. I'm so tired, though.

You too?! Ugh. Fleas are AWFUL. I bathed my kitty twice today (once just with water, the second time with flea stuff.) THEN I've been combing him a bunch of times. AND HE STILL HAS FLEAS! If I have time tomorrow I better vacuum the basement.

My kitten. He was feral, but he's become quite attached to people in the week I've had him.

I used male pronouns, but the feline is a female. Whoops!

Most high maintenance pet EVER.

Next time I'm getting a pet that doesn't talk back.
