Like everything else, I think it depends on the people involved. I do think there has to be a common end goal and belief system for it to work out.

I always thought like attracts like.
I could never be happy in a relationship with someone who is aloof, cool, or unexpressive. My entire huge family, especially my children, and I are all demonstrative, gregarious, very approachable people. Nobody puts on airs or tries to impress people. We are just a friendly, lively family. I would feel trapped being in a relationship with a reserved, coy or standoffish man. And he would probably feel out of place with me and my family.

Also, I am tall. I wouldn't want to be with someone short. He's doesn't have to be a foot taller than me. Just tall enough to make a good dance partner.

I think it depends on the person. In my case, yes, opposites attract.
I'm very shy, submissive (I don't really know how to lead nor do I want to) and I'm scared of public speaking. Like I get sweaty and my glasses fog up! lol
But I'm very attracted to men who are the opposite of that. Men who are sure of themselves and not easily afraid of social situations. Since I'm very shy, I would like to marry a man that is friendly so that I can feel comfortable to come out of my shell with him and to make friends with the people he knows. I also wouldn't mind a man that isn't afraid of bugs...so that if there's one inside the house, he can take it outside!

As far as looks go...I'm a short hispanic girl that likes tall white guys. :giggle:

There’s no way I could date a woman who’s a Baltimore Ravens fan. I get sick just thinking about it.

So pray tell, what football team would your kinda gal be rooting for?

Interestingly, all of my family members are die-hard Eagles fans. They didn't understand why for years I was for the Steelers, even though my hometown is Philadelphia. When my daughter finally reasoned with me to become an Eagles fan, they won the Super Bowl that year. I guess my disloyalty to them was the reason they choked in previous playoffs.:ROFL:

I find that sometimes in the beginning their oppositeness is what attracts you but down the line it can annoy you leading to a split.

Ok, ok I confess! I still secretly love the Steelers. Just please don’t tell my family.:ROFL::ROFL:

C’mon, look at their record. Went to the Super Bowl 8 times and won 6 of ‘em. Plus the Eagles shamed my hometown too many times for me to have faith in them. And I’m still disappointed in the time the Eagles’ jet landed in a small airport not far from where we lived, the players filed out the jet while my then-young children began yelling their names so they’d only wave at them, and all of them totally ignored my kids. It was at that point the Steelers became my favorite team.

But as I said, don’t tell my family. :sneaky: Lol
