Only a few things I want to skip to the good part for. You do learn and grow closer to God in the bad parts. Idk I just like the beat and the violins
Ah. I see.
I listen more to the words than the instruments, though I do take interest in how the music moves the song along.
There are some very interesting songs that will never be in my collection, but I can understand what they're saying and sympathize. They ask questions everybody asks in his own mind, but they don't have a lot of answers.
"Once I was seven years old" is a song about the lifelong search for just ANYTHING to keep loneliness at bay. Make friends, find a spouse, have kids, all for the sake of not being lonely. All of those things never work in the long run, but we keep trying them anyway.
"Medicate" is about people who have lives that they think are pointless and futile, so instead of doing something important they get their doctors to prescribe medication that will help them ignore the problem.
I don't have either of these problems but I can understand them. Neither of the songs has any real solution, but they express the problems very well. They won't be in my collection but I can appreciate how well they were done.
