I don't see a ring so maybe that is a good thing. Is that a lolly-pop she is holding. Maybe it is Karaoke night and she is singing you a song.

I dunno... fix the place up a bit and you could make the bank of dryers into a Japanese style tube hotel.

No it's not a joke. They have capsule hotels.
These look to be single occupancy units. Actually, I have heard of these too.

Many moons ago when we had just relocated and were without a washer & dryer for a bit, weekly laundromat trips were necessary. My ritual was:
1. gather dirty clothes
2. sort into 3 loads
3. cry
4. load the car & go

No joke. I dreaded the trauma of sitting for a few hours at the laundromat so much that I broke down and sobbed every week before leaving the house. Bwahahahahahahaa!!! It's funny now.

I used to do my laundry too on Saturday morning at 7am. I found it to be an activity I enjoy. After loading up the washer I would go across the street to McDonald's for coffee and breakfast. Afterwards, I would load the dryer and while the clothes were drying I would go grocery shopping. After shopping the clothes would then be dry. I stuffed the clean dried clothes in a laundry bag. Some days I would have two bags.

I folded the clothes at home. I am not saying that I know how to fold clothes, only that I made an effort to do so. Now, my wife does the laundry. I assist by putting the folded clothes and towels away where they go. I am going to have her teach my how to iron clothes. I want to use Niagara spray starch 'cause it might be fun to learn how to make a crisp crease without leaving scorch marks. Ironing may be an activity that I enjoy.
