I wonder what type of failure we talking about!
Collapse of the entire planet? Or just your regular epic fails like forgetting to turn off the tap when you left for holiday weekend and you come home and everything is soaking wet. *

If all else fails, try something else.
There are two kinds of people in this world, those with supernatural ability like Tesla, and those who figure it out like Edison.
Edison ended up rich and famous, Tesla ended up poor, living in a hotel room, crazy, and in love with a pigeon.
Tesla has 300 patents and Edison has 1,000. So, keep trying, and stay away from the birds!
"Thomas Edison's teachers said he was "too stupid to learn anything." He was fired from his first two jobs for being "non-productive." As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb".

Nikola Tesla is probably the best engineer in the 20th century. O.k., that statement is debatable, but the guy was WAY ahead of his time. He is my favorite engineer, hands down. His quirky life style maybe a little different, but the guy was a genius.
