I knew of a couple who went to hallmark on Valentine’s Day and picked out their favorite card and read it to each other every year. Never bought the two cards to save money.

Paired off by lottery? How do I get in on this drawing?

Also what if you get a partner you don't want? Can you redraw or are you stuck with it?
Maybe you can ask for a swapsies amendment.

The glass has sparkling apple juice. I love that stuff and am allergic to alcohol. I am definitely a cheap date lol.

Valentine's Day was originally a day to honor St. Valentine who died around 270 A.D.

He is commemorated because he was executed for marrying Christian couples in secret and helping Christians when Christianity was outlawed by the emperor of Rome at the time (Claudius Gothicus). The emperor had him arrested, tortured and beheaded.

totally agree with this statement! I also would much rather give and receive random acts of love on days other than an “expected” holiday... or better yet what Mel said every day!
Yeah, I’m THAT kind of person lol I love to give affection or meaningful gestures and recieve it, so why not do it everyday! 😁

But, for singles awareness day, I would love an adult themed coloring book. The bill paying
edition would be sweet!

I’m actually anti-valentines day. Not that I am bitter or anything, but I don’t see the point of celebrating ones love for another on a specific day, when it should be done and shown each and every day you spend with that special person.

But oh well, cheers to us singles for being single and loving it 😁
Yes. This is an interesting statement. Which I agree with. These holidays can get focused on one day a year and we all go "back to business" the next day...? I think it could be similar to Christmas. “Jesus is the reason for the season."

Jesus is the reason for the remaining 364 days in the year. The reason for waking up on October 2nd, meeting with others on a lunch break on May 5th. Pretty much for Him to be glorified all the time. :)

I couldn't agree more. I don't dislike Valentines day. I believe that if you need a calendar to tell you that you need/want to show someone you say you love that you love them, then that is truly sad.
Should take every opportunity to show them how very special they are to you, that you apprechiate who they are to you and that you love them...
<<<steps down off the soap box...🙂
Enjoy your day all, truly 😀

I agree with you all but there are some positive aspects to Valentine's Day. Sometimes people get so busy dancing their dance, and racing from one emergency to another that they don't make time for what is important. We should make it a priority to express our hearts for those around us. Some people assume that others know their heart and see words as unimportant. One of my great joys is making sure my son hears "I love you" every day. Every day is the right time to express appreciation, encourage and let our loved ones see their worth through our eyes. Unfortunately sometimes people forget that it isn't a luxury, but that it is essential, so I would say that any day that reminds us that we need to make sure our loved ones hear it again, is a good thing. Hugs to you all. You are appreciated and thank you for the joy you bring to my life.
