Abraham was an old man (I think around 100) when he fathered Issac........ and don't give me the whole "people lived longer in those days, "blah blah lines because I personally know a few men who are in their 50's and 60's WHO ARE still fathering children (they are good christian men too, not just some guy running around womanizing.....)
I’ve been a single for some time Several years ago I attended a bible study and a younger woman approached me before the group began and asked me what my name is and what I do..I was surprised...she was very attractive...I said to her that I work in retail at a certain store that has a great reputation...she told me that she hated shopping there and stood and walked off...it’s hard not to chuckle when I think about it...

I just find it sad and unrealistic when people set their standards too high and want someone who looks super good looking. Like model good looking.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you want to be somewhat attracted to your partner at the very least. I completely understand that. But there's a lot of moderately attractive people or average looking people with great personalities and qualities who you might miss out on because you're too focused on outward appearance.

That's all I'm saying.
Do you remember when the words “total package “ were being thrown around? Everyone was looking fo the Total package 🙄 I Thought The only total package that ever existed was Jesus... I have felt the same way...generally it seems easier to become friends of the opposite sex when you know your with someone who is in touch with reality....😬

I like the title. Great book! :)

Most people have some measure of expectations in their relationships pertaining to character, responsibilities and so on.

Compromise has its place. But not at the expense of authenticity. If they dampen my respect, admiration, or willingness to follow him I won’t go forward. There’s a measure of compelling in my connections that’s an outgrowth of mental and physical attraction. I can’t force them.

I think there’s a difference between setting a standard and having a norm that is the standard. Where you routinely attract suitors who emulate the qualities you prefer. Oftentimes they’re drawn to complementary characteristics in the other person.

my wishlist for books is at 111 and it costs in total around $3,179

I am expecting that I will be able to buy all of them this year. I dont have Great Expectations on this list, but maybe I should (graphic novel version? ) . If my children dont read all these books I will be out of a job.

thanks for the reminder.

on Iranian men.,,well I have met a few and some actually want their women to drive (here in nz) because public transport in my town is terrible. I had an Iranian friend and it became quite annoying when she started relying on me for rides all the time!

So her boyfriend bought her a car and told her she had to learn how to drive!
