If we start doing those spelled the same, we open a can of worms. Do we not?Reign
You are thinking of homographs:
HOMONYMS are words that sound alike but have different meanings.
HOMOPHONES are a type of homonym that also sound alike and have different meanings, but have different spellings.
HOMOGRAPHS are words that are spelled the same but have different meanings.

the thread OP specifically says:
New game!Same pronunciation of word different spelling, different definition.Example.too.......two
the word I left was BALL ( as in a round sphere often hollow object that is often used for rolling or kicking)the homophone for it is BAWL ( as in to weep or cry noisily)

DAYS

No proper names. Pall - I pronounce Paw the same [maybe wrongly].
the homophone for PALL is PAWL:

Description
A pawl is a mechanical component that engages with another component to prevent movement in one direction, or prevent movement altogether. It is a type of latch. It consists of a spring-loaded solid part that is pivoted at one end and engages the other component at a steep angle at the other end. Wikipedia

Okay, okay, I didn't think of bawl. You sure straightened me out, did you not?

When I listed Pall, I had not looked up the pronunciation of paw. They are slightly different.
