while we are on the subject of mailing homemade thingies. Does anyone know where I can get any of those lil' bottles? I started some vanilla extract about a year ago. It's waaaaay better than anything you can buy. I'd like to bottle it up as gifts.

In a craft store I bet you...or maybe someplace like a pier one...this will sound crazy..but maybe even check places like a dollar tree,all for a dollar types...they have odd stuff like that once & awhile.

Bro, just go to the local homebrew shop. They have bottles in all sizes. They have the ptf plastic bottles and they have the glass bottles you can cap.

Catherder, what size are you looking for? they have 12 ounce glass bottles of course. I was just thinking that it would keep it fresh however you couldn't seal it again unless the person you sent it to had a capper and bottle caps. the ptf plastic ones are just like soda bottles though. Of course you don't have to refrigerate vanilla extract do you?

I don't think people realize that drums are one of the most expensive instruments to maintain either. I used to wanna punch my old guitarist when he's whine about needing a new 9Volt battery for his distortion pedal & having to spend $4...I was like "Dude,I just had to spend $15 on a pair of sticks & $100 on a few tom heads & a snare head,deal with it!" lol
