Redwoods are taller than Sequoias.
I don't know if they're suitable for canoes. I've never heard of anyone making canoes out of them. The last one I worked on is the one the CTGR uses in the annual canoe regatta.

And that canoe, a 56 -footer, was made from a Washington Red Cedar. My people used Redwood for ocean-going crafts.

I remember those days. But the resentment people had wasn't due to your relationship but that the pair of you, and another new couple, both flooded the singles with post after post. It seemed every thread devolved into one, or both, of the couples taking over to talk about the relationship or flirt.
People began voicing that complaint and both couples flatly ignored them for a while until the complaints finally became enough to sink in.
If I recall the other couple was worse about it. Bit no one resented the relationships or you being public about it, they resented the flood of posts and the loss if the singles forum to two couples.
At the time we were deemed as the worst couple because we were the older couple and expected to know better. The other couple had their own thread. Tourist and I loved each other everywhere to most peeps dismay.... See how much we have calmed down after getting married... We still flirt just at home with each other it's easier living in the same house not to annoy everyone around us...

At the time of the offenses we lived two hours apart and our main connection was CC and we flirted with abandon....

I have a cousin we called "bloops.". And then there was my other cousin Bloops. True story.

You could have named the other one blips and then you'd have bloops and blips. Easier to tell them apart. lol

So, I used the Redwood Tree as part of leading my Devotion group one time, and what I based it on was that like the Redwood Tree, their roots grow deep down into the ground but what’s also fascinating about them is that their roots actually “link up” with other neighboring Redwood Trees and interlink with eachother underground - so in comparison, like our fellowship with eachother, it’s important that we “link arms” with Christ like minded people and grow together in our walks with Christ (As iron sharpens iron, so does a friend sharpen a friend).

Praise God for Redwood Trees!!! ❤️
