Hey everyone...really tired today...and for some reason suffering from a headache...it's driving me crazy...
@becc... Hii! I'm so sorry about your migraines...they must really hurt.
And drugs sometimes don’t do anything to solve the root problem. They’re just there to take away the pain but don’t really solve it so that it’s complete y gone. There are natural remedies to use to help ease the pain. But first, I think it’s important you avoid certain foods that may contribute to it. Here’s a list:
· foods with nitrates including hot dogs, deli meats, bacon, and sausage
· chocolate
· cheese that contains the naturally-occurring compound tyramine, such as blue, feta, cheddar, Parmesan, and Swiss
· alcohol, especially red wine
· foods that contain monosodium glutamate (MSG), a flavor enhancer
· foods that are very cold such as ice cream or iced drinks
· processed foods
· pickled foods
· beans
· dried fruits
· cultured dairy products such as buttermilk, sour cream, and yogurt
These contribute to migraines…not all the time….but please avoid caffeine. Record down how you feel when you avoid such foods…do you still the same after a week or so? Or do you feel the migraines aren’t there so much? So, be diligent in recording this down to see. I can’t tell you what to take to cure this…coz, not everything works for everyone. But, I know lavender and peppermint oil really helps. If you can get it…try to inhale in the oil..it relives the migraines almost instantly after about 15 mins…anyway…whatever is available. So, anyway, just a tip…I’m not a doctor….but, as a personal witness…I’ve tried this and it worked for me. It relieved the pain more than the drugs….and there’s proof too.
