Hey becc, if you keep reading the blessings continue until verse 14. But at verse 15 the cursing starts for not obeying the Lord. Those continue to verse 68! A heavy price comes with calling yourself God's people then not doing His commandments. A lesson we in America should heed. We have called ourselves Christian from the onset.
