This is silly

(BTW the original meaning of silly was blessed with worthiness)
I think idiotic opinions by people who mistakenly think they are intellectually superior is silly.

To each their own.
But seriously, etymology is important. Except perhaps to idiots.

a government or state in which those in power exploit national resources and steal; rule by a thief or thieves.

Shore up out defenses and let Europe deal with a European problem.
If we stick our nose in any father then we already have it will only get worse.
Time to stop sending America's young men to die to solve other's problems.

Putin doesn't want weapons of mass destruction on his border. He is also determined to keep out of his country the creeping globalism that wants to bring in the one-world antichrist government that we, the west, have so miserably failed in doing.
This is my opinion, though I feel less and less free to express it.

My father was in the USAAF, I was in the USAF, my son was a tank mechanic for the 1st Cav. and my grand son is a sub-mariner.

With age comes wisdom and the end of the story is Jesus wins. We can 't change a thing. National defence is important in order to protect our homeland for the time being. Getting involved in Eastern Europe will only result in more dead bodies. Enough is enough!

1. Encourage Ukraine to accept the terms of the peace agreement Putin has laid out. As I mention in another thread, they are reasonable, they give Ukrainians a choice of whether to live in Ukrainian or Russian administered areas, and they prevent a future situation like this by maintaining Ukraine's neutrality and status as a buffer state.

2. Make it clear to Putin that there will be specific consequences if he encroaches on the territory of other European nations. Pull back NATO missile systems from the Russian border, but increase their number and troop presence (temporarily) and make sure the Russians understand why. Negotiate for a staged demilitarization of border regions.

3. Rebuild relationship with Russia by reopening and encouraging trade. Over 300 major companies have decided to pull out of Russia, including Netflix, McDonalds, and Coca-Cola. This shows just how weaponized the "private" sector has become. All these things only make the rift between East and West deeper.

Unfortunately so much damage has been done to East-West relations in such a short amount of time that I think it is virtually irreparable, at least with those in power that we've got right now. Does anyone think Biden is the master diplomat and peacemaker that we NEED on the world stage right now? Hardly. He's digging the hole deeper.

We pushed Russia right into a stronger relationship with China, Iran, NK, etc. We literally are digging our own grave as we expedite the rise of the Eastern coalition of powers that will destroy America in one day according to prophecy and eclipse the West.

Interesting that all those who have fought and have experience fighting are not interested in sending kids to die in Ukraine. All those without any experience and no risk of going are all gung ho for sending someone else's kids.

The ramifications regardless will have a negative global impact. I’m completely against any US military intervention. This may sound harsh, but there is no real vested interest in Ukraine. With that said, the US cannot sit ideally by and allow a China-Russian alliance to foster. The only way the US could cripple China is by stopping imports. Of course the will not happen because a lot of material goods come from there. I don’t really have an answer.

So I would like to go on the record now with what I think is the proper response to this.
The real proper response would be to arrest Putin, Biden, and all their wicked advisors, and either lock them up or execute them. The Ukraine crisis would disappear overnight. This is not Russia's war but Putin's who is behind all the Russian empire building. As to the bioweapons, they could be released over the CCP headquarters in China. Just kidding.

I would like to point out that banning Russian oil was not one of my 7 points or the 8th point I added shortly after that about taking iodine.

My reasoning was simple -- how is buying more oil from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela or Iran better than buying it from Russia? What exactly are you accomplishing other than $10 a gallon oil (https://neonnettle.com/news/18502-r...-threatens-to-send-oil-prices-to-300-a-barrel)

If you are going to do anything produce more oil, open up the pipeline to Canada if you can (I have heard it is too late to restart that). But banning oil from Russia is idiotic for 3 reasons.

1. It will drive oil price in the US up to $10 a gallon. For what? This is nuts. Also if we pay more for oil don't countries that sell it get more for it? The idea that this will harm Russia remains to be seen, could easily result in him getting even more money for his oil.

2. No one has convinced me that Putin is on a different level of evil from Venezuela, Iran or Saudi Arabia. So there is no moral victory here.

3. Putin has made it clear that we are now at war, we attacked first and he will retaliate. Get that thru your head, Russia is going to retaliate against the US for what we did. What does this mean? Whatever it means it will obviously be bad and with Biden as president runs the risk of escalating into WWIII

We live in a corrupt world. The Devil is taking over temporarily. I doubt if any nation will survive the the judgment that The Lord will inflict at the close of the great trib. Get used to it, humanities false gods are soon going to meet the true maker/God.

All of the leaders that seek to rule the world & or be worshiped will be brought low.

The sword is whetted means it's very sharp against all of their gates means none will escape!

It is very clear that the US and NATO do not have the capability to enforce a No Fly zone over Ukraine. At least not "overnight". It might be possible given the total capability of the US and Europe to do something over the next one to two months. But that doesn't mean we could keep Russian planes out of Ukraine, all we could really do is protect one or two cities and cause Russian bombs to be less accurate.

However the cost would be very high and the risk would be ridiculous. Putin cannot afford to lose so this would simply escalate the war to something we can't even foresee but the threat of nuclear war is there.

Not only so but Russia and Ukraine represent 33% of the world's wheat exports. With such a war there would be a tremendous shortage of wheat worldwide, prices would go very high and this would be for all grains, not just wheat.

The people who would starve to death in the 3rd world would probably exceed the number that will die in Ukraine.

Not only so but Russia has already said that the US declared economic war on them and they will retaliate in kind. They are suggesting that oil will be over $300 a barrel. That is more than 7x what it was when Biden took office, we could see $14 a gallon gas.

What will the US be like with the price of food doubling and gas being that high? OK, it will be bad, but bad for us is catastrophic for the 3rd world.

So this is a really bad strategy. Contrast that with strengthening the NATO countries right next to Ukraine. That we can do, that is not provocative. If Russia attacks a NATO country then we are at war, what we should do is take all action to discourage Russia from attacking NATO

Thank you for that reminder.

My reading today is from Isaiah 30:
10-11 They tell my prophets, “Shut up—we don’t want any more of your reports!” Or they say, “Don’t tell us the truth; tell us nice things; tell us lies. Forget all this gloom; we’ve heard more than enough about your ‘Holy One of Israel’ and all he says.”

12 This is the reply of the Holy One of Israel:

Because you despise what I tell you and trust instead in frauds and lies and won’t repent, 13 therefore calamity will come upon you suddenly, as upon a bulging wall that bursts and falls; in one moment it comes crashing down.
There are many warnings coming from many of God's saints in these troubled times. While probably no one knows or understands with 100% certainly exactly what comes next, the warnings point in a general direction if carefully considered.

Now is the time to be getting ready for what's next. And no one likes dire warnings, but they serve a purpose and thus many are included in God's own Word.
