they had the power they needed a long time ago, but now they have the technology to support it.
I hear there has been bipartisan EARN IT bill, introduced by senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal.
The EARN IT bill had its first hearing on March 12, 2020 and aims to allow the government to scan any and all messages online, eventually eliminating end-to-end encryption and the expectation of privacy altogether.

As Christians, we should be viewing everything through a Biblical lens. Who is the god of this world? Is he not a liar and deceiver?
Ultimately we know that God is in control, but He has allowed Satan to roam relatively free in this broken, sinful world and the world system is run by him. See Daniel to understand the spiritual powers behind King’s and kingdoms.
A free society, one that can openly preach the Gosoel and proclaim the Name of Jesus, runs counter to satans objective. So all world government bodies such as WHO, United Nations, World Bank etc. should be viewed as evil or potentially evil.

I am thankful those doctors in the frontlines in China have published their findings.

Its a pdf file but not sure if this site can handle it. It will give all the research done on it so far. My brother is a surgeon and got it from his medical team. They are working round the clock on containing the virus.

Again adding to my words...it is a well known fact that China is a oppressive regime... openness is not how that government operates ...not sure how anyone can deny that.
People I know who have left the country feel the most strongly about this.

Gordon Brown has urged world leaders to create a temporary form of global government to tackle the twin medical and economic crises caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The former Labour prime minister, who was at the centre of the international efforts to tackle the impact of the near-meltdown of the banks in 2008, said there was a need for a taskforce involving world leaders, health experts and the heads of the international organisations that would have executive powers to coordinate the response.
A virtual meeting of the G20 group of developed and developing countries, chaired by Saudi Arabia, will be held on Thursday, but Brown said it would have been preferable to have also included the UN security council.

“This is not something that can be dealt with in one country,” he said. “There has to be a coordinated global response.”
Brown said the current crisis was different to the one he was involved in. “That was an economic problem that had economic causes and had an economic solution.
“This is first and foremost a medical emergency and there has to be joint action to deal with that. But the more you intervene to deal with the medical emergency, the more you put economies at risk.”
During the financial crisis, Brown persuaded other global leaders of the need to bail out the banks and then hosted a meeting of the G20 in London, which came up with a $1.1tn rescue package.

Despite Donald Trump’s “America first” policy, he said it was still possible to get support for an emergency body with executive powers.

Many countries have announced economic packages in the past two weeks but Brown said a taskforce could: make sure the efforts of central banks were coordinated; take steps to prevent the record flight of capital from emerging market economies; and agree a joint approach to the use of government spending to boost growth.
Brown said there had been resistance in 2008 to using the G20 as a vehicle for tackling the financial crisis, but that it should be clear to world leaders that there was no possibility of a go-it-alone approach working.

In an attempt to neutralize this so-called pandemic, they are creating a US economic pandemic.
The flu which comes around every year, kills and hospitalizes many more thousands than Covid-19. Yet, we don't see
restrictions on flights, people being restricted to their homes and the shut-down of businesses. Why the sensationalism on Covid-19? Somehow, I suspect that the government may be using this situation as a smoke-screen while having ulterior motives. If that is the case, then we will see the outcome and their real reason for all of this.

You are right. There was no need to shut down countries since the death rate is about the same (or much less than) flu. So one needs to question how the matter was handled and why proper controls were not put in place to ensure that both state and federal governments did not abuse this situation. The greatest concern in the free world should be the loss of liberties, not lives.
There are seven states right now in the USA with zero death, and another dozen or so with less than 10 deaths. But the states controlled by the Left-Liberal Democrats with their crazy notions are the ones with the heaviest numbers. So that is another indicator.

Just saw on ABC world news that the US has surpassed China in confirmed cases of the coronavirus. They are calling a hospital in Queens New York the epicenter for the virus. 13 deaths in 24 hours at that hospital. So many deaths there that they had to bring in a refrigerated trailer to store the bodies.

Amazing that believer can be so hard hearted when doctors, nurses, paramedics are on the front lines dealing with this every day.
