They tried where my daughter works and soon learned those country folks did not like it so they took out most of the self checkouts out and added more cashiers.
People get what they want or are willing to put up with.
Seem only the young like the self checkout in our area.
Went to Walmart today ( a small super center in a town of 1400 ) about 10 am and they had 10 cashiers working and only a few people were using the self checkouts.
Because Walmart keeps prosecuting innocents claiming they shoplifted (stole) items...
Where I don't care if they prosecute the real thieves....I don't want to go through the hassle of proving my innocence...that they can't seem to bother with themselves before they swear out a warrant for my arrest.
So I go through the checkout with a real cashier. They can't hassle me that way.

Walmart in our area tried the card or app only thing (cash accepted at only two registers ) once and people just walked out and left their full carts standing.
That changed very quickly.
People need to stand up for what they want and what they will not put up with with these stores.
Same with the government, local, state, national.

Sort of a companion issue at least where I live is the number of malfunctioning shopping carts, they don’t steer correctly and they are hard to push. I just stand there and pull out carts until I find one that works. Been considering a mobile cart refurbishing service, the road to riches, travel from town to town and put all the carts back into operating condition. :):):)

Especially, since most stores many-more-times-than-not seem to not care enough to do regular maintenance on their carts...

If/When you show them a cart and inform them that it needs attention - do they put it aside to fix it - or just put it back with the rest of the carts and forget about it?

That's right - you know the answer - at least 999 times out of 1000. (And, this might be way too generous.)

Maybe they could be enticed to pay someone else to do it for them - so that their carts would actually receive maintenance more than once a year...

You aren’t along.
What did they do to make that video? Break into a nursing home and give people a script to read?

One guy did actually look like he was reading the script- others cited reasons that it never made any sense for them to vote for him the first time. NONE OF THOSE PEOPLE ever voted for Trump... what a joke.

Do you know what a wimp is? A wimp is someone who creates a new identity, say @msp2000 and then 20 minutes later has found this post and given it a dislike. Maybe I'm wrong but I am inclined to believe that @msp2000 is a pseudonym for a current member who was afraid to use their own name. Generally, if I have just joined a forum like this I would introduce myself first and share a few posts, but that is me. All I am saying is something is very, very fishy about @msp2000

Well this is a very fine how do you do. if Mr. ZNP had taken a few minutes to search my profile he might have found out that I indeed am a new member. I joined this site literally a few days ago in the hopes that I might find like minded Christians to have intelligent, mature discussions regarding matters of import to the Christian community. I happened to see Mr. ZNP's post and in the spirit of the freedom of expression, chose to express my opinion by giving it a dislike. It appears Mr. ZNP has decided make judgements about a new member whom he knows nothing about except for a dislike expressed for a video he posted.

Mr. ZNP has decided that he dissapproves of my name and potential motive. I didn't know using a username like "msp2000" was verboten. Perhaps Mr. ZNP would care to reveal his own name?

Mr. ZNP, I hope and pray this posting isn't representative of your attitude towards new members and those who may have opinions differing markedly from your own. A Christians we are called to be at peace with each other as much as possible (Romans 12:18).

Have a blessed day, sir!

I would like to know who I am talking to. As I said when I join a forum it is customary to first introduce yourself. And yes, I do try to know who I am talking to and dealing with. So perhaps you can take a few minutes, go to the site all new members are directed to and give us a short testimony about yourself by way of introduction. If your plan is to have mature, intelligent discussions, that would be an appropriate way to begin.

[Hi msp2000. I hope you are doing well. I noticed you disliked one of my posted videos]. I took the liberty of tweaking your quoted message to make a point. If you would have posted this to begin with, I would have gladly complied. I am still learning my way around the site.

Blessings to you sir!

Praying for oneness of the Church

I have heard that there is strife and division in the church and I am inclined to believe it. Apparently there are political wranglings between one party and another being played out in the congregation as well as strife and dispute being stirred up over many issues on social media. I am not on Facebook, so I miss everything that goes on there, but I am on this forum where they debate over whether or not Christians should be for Trump or not. I try to avoid these threads.

So then let's look at how the Bible says to make peace. It requires a peace offering which can be a bull, that is a very expensive offering.

So let's apply that to the church making peace and putting an end to all this bickering. In 2020 there were many people in this country who thought the election was stolen and wanted to do an audit of the process. Polls showed that as much as 30% of the country thought the election had been stolen by fraud. I felt that this greatly undermined the trust in our process and so I was for doing the audit. On the other hand there were some who felt it was not right to do an audit for just the states that had the closest votes for Biden. I agreed with them, I felt we could do audits on all 20 swing states or even do an audit of all 50 states. Many complained that to do an audit on all 50 states would cost $100 million. I felt this was a worthwhile expense to restore trust in the system. (If sending $160 billion to Ukraine didn't even require a debate it seems $100 million is really a small price to pay to bring peace to the US). But they never did the audits. Sometimes they did a "recount". This is like giving the people who were concerned the middle finger. An audit would verify that every name on the voter registration still lived in the state and was alive. It would verify that the addresses that mailed in ballots would confirm that they had indeed mailed in that many ballots and they had that many registered voters. Some addresses had 20 ballots that had come from them. But no one did an audit, the message to those who had an issue was "just shut up and do what you are told". That was not a message that led to peace. Today the most recent polls show that 50% of the country thinks the election was stolen and 70% thinks there was some fraud. The problem did not go away, it got worse. You can't claim to "love and care for someone" and then when they have an issue you just tell them to shut up and ignore them. The Christian churches represent 50% of the US population, they could have stood strong on this issue and some pastors did, but most kept silent.

You can argue that this was politics and the church and state are separate. OK, but then no doubt that is what you argued when they mandated the vaccine and shut down churches. You stood strong and said it is unconstitutional for the Federal government to shut down the churches. You can hold meetings online for any members afraid to go to the church, you can have hand sanitizer and take the temperature of people who come to the meeting, but if you are standing strong for separation of church and state why do you let the state lock your doors? They claimed it was a health crisis. I lived in NYC, about three miles from the church I met at was a casino, they never shut down the casino. They never shut down Costco or Walmart. Many people were forced to lose their jobs because they didn't take the vaccine. I am not anti science, I was a HS science teacher and I am not anti Vaxx I had all my shots that were required to teach in NYC. But I had legitimate questions about this vaccine, it was experimental and they violated the laws involving mandating experimental vaccines. They were behaving like criminals and liars, so it was reasonable to ask questions. But when anyone did they were insulted, mocked, and told to shut up and do what you are told. Where were the pastors, the shepherd of the sheep? If they had all stood up and stood strong there is no way this would have gone on, but instead many did nothing. They stood by while people were fired over this or forced against their will to get the vaccine. We now know that 17 million people died as a result of that vaccine and that is the most conservative number and does not include all the other health issues involved with the vaccine.

Yes, we should all be one in Christ. But in Acts when there were legitimate concerns about how the church was dealing with issues they didn't tell people to shut up and do what you are told. They appointed brothers like Stephen to deal with it, and this was not a hired hand that fled when he saw the wolves, he stood strong even if it cost him his life.

The VP pick for Donald Trump has got to be loyal to the point of choosing Donald Trump over the constitution,That’s why Donald Trump Is against Mike Pence.
