Doesn't mean you don't know when the end is coming. Doesn't mean you don't know the last generation, or that you don't know the season, or the year.
However, you hang your entire hat on a verse that says no one knows the day or the hour. (doesn't say month, or season or year or generation) but then you ignore the verse that says God does nothing without telling His prophets.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
That would indicate that although you weren't told 2,000 years ago the prophets will be told prior to the Lord doing it. Not only so but Joel says that in the last days He will pour out His spirit and people will dream dreams and see visions.
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
You also ignore the verse to Sardis which says it they do not repent they will not know. Just because no one knew 2,000 years ago does not mean the prophets and the saints won't be given a heads up before the Lord returns.
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Not much of a warning if as you say no one knows the hour.
But why so vague? Why not quote this mysterious verse to us so we can look at the context? Because I guarantee this, if the Lord said "no one knows the day or the hour" He said it as a reason why we need to watch. No one knows the day or the hour your wife is going to give birth, that is why you have to watch and be ready. No one knows the day and hour a thief will come, that is why you have to watch and be ready. The verse you are quoting you are absolutely and without any doubt misquoting. You use it to mean don't bother watching, when in reality the Lord used it to charge us to watch.
