There are two sides to rising fuel costs. On one hand you get inflation, everything is more expensive. But on the other when countries scale back their power usage their GDP will fall. If Asia stops producing 20% of their goods we can also expect a 20% decrease in their imports. A slowdown in Asia (China, India, and Japan) will impact the entire world.

Now add a few other factors.

Because of inflation we are raising interest rates. The interest rates on a 30 year mortgage are up 3%. As a result new home sales are down and will fall significantly.

If you aren't building new homes you also aren't buying the appliances that go in the homes and all the other stuff.

Already we are seeing a 40% drop in the value of an exchange traded fund for retailers. This indicates we will have a lot of bankruptcies and banks will be reluctant to help those companies teetering on bankruptcy. However, for anyone looking to start a small business it will be much more expensive because of the higher interest rates and inflation. As a result the businesses that go bust will not be replaced, and that in turn will cause many malls to go bust if half of their stores are boarded up.

Again, if you aren't buying new businesses you also aren't buying all the stuff you need to go along with that business.

So we are definitely seeing the beginning of a recession and perhaps a great depression. Generally people would flee to bonds but bonds are getting crushed because as interest rates go up the people holding bonds lose money.

But this is on top of the world losing $16 trillion from the pandemic and shut down.

It is also on top of significant shortages in Wheat and other foods. Food is not going to be distributed equally, some countries will get nothing. Already we have 12 countries in dire straits with impending famine. The lack of food will cause dramatic inflation which in turn will cause them to raise interest rates more, bankrupting more, etc.

At least the good news is that Biden is not Trump.

Are they ashamed at their detestable conduct?

Proverbs 13:5 The righteous hate what is false, but the wicked make themselves a stench and bring shame on themselves.

The election was false. We hate that, nothing shameful about that. Hunter Biden should be in prison, nothing shameful about saying that. Biden has brought shame on himself. The Democrats manifesto is basically saying that they will continue to groom elementary school kids in public school and parents need to shut up about it. This is the stench. The way they have handled the economy has brought shame on them, the way they exited Afghanistan has brought shame, the way they have handled the US border has brought shame. The way they have supported mobs outside the Supreme court justice homes to threaten them has brought shame on them.

Proverbs 18:3 When wickedness comes, so does contempt, and with shame comes reproach.

The F Joe Biden and Let's go Brandon chants are the expression of contempt for Biden. He is wicked and the world is responding with contempt. It is our duty to speak the truth, to be salt and light and that means we need to reproach evil. With that reproach comes shame, not on us but on Biden. The stickers says "I did that" with Joe Biden pointing at gas prices, that is reproach.

Isaiah 50:7 Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.

It is a common thing for sinners and those of the flesh to try and stop the word of God and hold down the truth in unrighteousness. It will not work. How they attacked and ridiculed us a year ago when we talked about election fraud. Well, I will be one with the Lord, I will not be put to shame, and anyone who thinks they will continue to stick up for this corrupt regime I will give a mug that says "Biden/Harris in 2024". That will shut them up.

Jeremiah 3:3 Therefore the showers have been withheld, and no spring rains have fallen. Yet you have the brazen look of a prostitute; you refuse to blush with shame.

Joe Biden refuses to blush with shame and anyone who tries to make excuses for him is also like a prostitute. Joe Biden is in Europe saying everything is good, no problems with the US, only issue is the Supreme court justices who overturn Roe V. Wade. That is the brazen look of a prostitute.

Jeremiah 6:15 Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when I punish them,” says the Lord.

You know ZNP this reminds me of something which happened long ago (Genesis 47:13-16!!) This will cause a separation of the wheat from the chaff, in other words people will draw closer to the faith or leave the faith, the time of great testing has arrived I believe! If some are on the fence, that fence is being removed, and which side will one fall on?? That is up to each person! Stay daily in God's Word!

I run a group on FB for Canadians with RA. I am a member of several admin groups. The one thing that is obvious to all of us admins, is that FB is being run by AIs that are clueless for some many things. People are getting groups shut down for a post that is 10 years old! There's no one to contact, all the people dropped out during COVID. If you heard the stories I do, you would realize that the people are long gone who run meta, or FB.

I've been very fortunate in my group, but I have very strict rules about spam, and being kind. But every day I check out my group and I am holding my breath that my group might be gone, for no reason. That is what group leaders are going through. When people were in charge, this never happened. The AIs just aren't smart enough to run a site with millions of people all over the world.

FB suspended my account for a month because someone (anonymous) was offended about a post (didn't tell me which one). They didn't tell me what I had done that was offensive, did not in any way give me a way to understand what the offense was or how to address it going forward. Therefore I deleted my FB account the same day. It is not easy to delete the account and they try very hard to reactivate it over the next 30+ days.

My attitude was that "if they reject you in this city shake off the dust as a testimony to them and go to the next city".

I used to be on a different Christian/Biblical forum and the same thing happened. That forum is very pro atheist and again, someone objected to my post. I was not told what post or what rule I had broken, just suspended with only the "some anonymous person was offended by some post we will not reference". As a result, I moved my entire blog to this forum and never posted there again.

I appreciate all that a forum offers and I follow their rules. I know they have rules, I agree they should have rules, but when they are not following their own rules I leave. Have some self respect. My blog registers how many different people visit there. I have had 86,000 different people visit. I think that is good for this forum. I have also set my account up to donate to the site every month to help pay for the costs. But if they pulled the same thing that the last forum or that FB did I'd shake off the dust and move on, viewing it from God to see that the gospel is preached throughout the world. The only reason FB gets away with what they do is because people let them. If everyone did what the Lord told us to do in Luke FB would have disappeared a long time ago.

I have been trying to make a living off advertising the appliances that I recondition on FB. A couple years ago FB market place was setup pretty well, but then they started making changes to the way their search algorithm worked and it has become pretty useless. I was able to keep my head above water, but now my head is below the water line and have to take money out of my dwindling saving to stay afloat.

At the same time the fake/scammer ads seem to have almost taken over and are so easy to spot, yet always seem to get ignored. I believe it's because these scammers are buying ads and FB doesn't care if people get scammed as long as they pay FB for the privilege to do so.

I also run a FB group and get request from people/scammers out of the country to put up ads seeking employees for $25 plus an hour jobs that just don't exist in my area. My group is for local people only and have been trying to figure out a way to block out of the country request, but FBs admin controls are cryptic and just plain make little sense.

I agree on the testing part. I hear there are many lay offs taking place, so that's rough. Also, with high gas and food prices, most people are feeling the pinch.

Yuan to Ruble trade has increased by 1,067%

This is how people are getting around the sanctions. Trading in Yuan increases demand for Yuan while decreasing the demand for dollars. This is the beginning of the end for the US dollar.

This was written back in May. In itself, that isn't a long time, however, since May, things in the real estate market has shifted...at least here in SC it has. Things in real estate and business in general shift often, so articles written 3 months ago, aren't always relevant today.

Back in May, we had, in this area, 1 house available for every 4 Realtors. Each Realtor has at least 3-4 buyer clients, making this 1 house per every 12 buyers. Supply and demand says this will increase prices alone and cause bidding wars, and it created a serious seller's market. However people selling in higher taxed, high cost areas like NYC, California and Jersey, then buying the same size house here for half the cost for cash is the main reason mortgages were down then. Then you add in large corporations who have been snatching up houses, sight unseen, buying at high prices for cash, turning around and renting them, has also caused a second problem, to go along with slighter mortgages and higher interest rates, which is they control the rent prices, driving them up as well, making it almost unaffordable to live...period. Tack on 30% hikes in food costs, 150% increase in fuel costs and shortages of necessities, and you have the perfect storm.

Now, the market is more balanced. It still leans towards being a seller's market, but mortgages are being accepted more, allowing buyers a bit more control of the market to balance things a bit. Interest rates still rose, but now, in July, mortgages are coming back into the picture greatly, and while prices are still inflated, and will most likely not drop, or not drop much, mortgages are rising again. But something to consider about interest rates and housing costs; back in the 1980's I remember double digit interest rates in houses, so it's been worse, and can/will get worse yet. I don't remember it being called a depression, but a recession. Is a depression coming? Possibly, but this housing crisis isn't the tell all of it. This area is building homes at a lightning pace, which will bring home prices back into balance, however. I can't speak of all areas in this manner.
I have info on about 6 new sub divisions coming into my email/ across my desk almost daily now.

What is totally askew in this market is that stocks and bonds are both looking horrible. Usually, if we were going into a depression people would move from stocks to bonds. But because of the inflation we have to raise interest rates significantly over the next year so bonds will get crushed. Therefore a lot of money is moving to buy up homes (Blackrock, etc).

So yes, housing prices may stay high for awhile, but the problem is that as interest rates rise individuals will be priced out of the market. Today I heard that 70+% of restaurants think they could go bankrupt shortly and 50% of all small businesses think this could happen. Inflation is crushing disposable income. When these people lose their jobs the housing market will collapse.

Suppose six months ago you had 1 million dollars invested as your savings / retirement account. You aren't rich but you are feeling quite safe. Due to inflation you lost 20% so your 1 million today buys what $800,000 bought a year ago. But it is worse. the stock market and bond market has come down by 30%. So then you only have $700k in your account today and that has lost 20% of its purchasing power so it is equivalent to about $560 K a year ago.

Think about that, this can cause people to panic.

And it is worse. I knew someone who had $1 million in Bitcoin last October. That is down to 300k today.
