Scientists used stem cells from a mouse to create a mouse embryo, without sperm or egg. It had a brain and beating heart but only lived 8 days.

"Scientists believe that through this experiment it would be easier for doctors to identify why some pregnancies fail at an earlier stage."

This really bugs me. Not only are they "playing God" but it's so weird how the majority find abortion acceptable and then there is this, where they're trying to figure out why some pregnancies fail. Seems inconsistent. I also can't help but wonder (conspiracy theorist in me, I guess) if this is working toward a future where the only babies allowed to be born are those that are created via lab. Gives a whole new meaning to test tube babies, eh?

Thoughts?

Was there a movie about that very thing?

I'm not surprised by this. Once we heard about Dolly the sheep being the first cloned animal it was a sure thing science was going to venture further into playing God.

Some scientists may claim there's no evidence for God yet there they are trying to fill the creator role themselves.
This isn't going to end well.

It already hasn't.

The first part talking about how for many years we thought a sperm and egg was needed to form a baby. That's the dumbest thing I've read since...probably Biden speaking. 😆 they think we're naive kids.

In all honestly I wouldn't worry about these people in particular "creating" a baby. They're not even having luck with mice. Although yes I think it's unethical.

" test tube baby" is a pretty insulting term. My husband actually used it before we needed ivf for our kid. You never know what life will throw at you.
Given the world's decay that first part is just following the fallen patterns that preceded this experiment.
We always thought a vagina was evidence of the female gender.
And a penis and scrotum was evidence of male.
