I have not watched the video. But It is said there were three shots.
Was Arbery still struggling with them after the first shot? Or the second?
The men said they shouted at Arbery that they only wanted to talk to him. OK then, why scare him with the gun?
They said Arbery resembled a burglar that had been causing trouble in the area. Has there been any descriptions or photos of that person who Arbery is suppose to resemble?
The men must have been very sure that Arbery and the burglar were one and the same to approach him that way. OK so when they saw him running along the road, why didn't they at that time before confronting him, call the police?
They had his picture on his phone. Why not stop pursuing him then and hand his picture over to the police and let them handle it from there?
The men said they took their guns, just incase Arbery had a gun also. Ok so what would have happened, a shoot out?
Is it the right of a civilian to "arrest" someone who they aren't even sure is a felon?
I've heard it said, if you come across a person who is wanted or is a person of interest to the police that you should notify the police. I have not heard that the civilians should get their guns and go talk to them to investigate the case themselves or "arrest" them.
Arbery's mom said she was told at first that her son was a suspect and died during a burglary attempt. What's up with that?
I understand your not watching the video.
Arbery was running at a casual jogging pace toward the pick up truck that was occupied by 2 men. One in the bed, one exiting from the drivers door. Arbery was just left of center on the road. The truck still had all 4 wheels on the roadway.
It appears that Arbery saw that the driver had a shotgun as he got closer to the truck as he quickly changed the direction of his jog but did not change his jogging pace. It cannot be determined that arbery saw the handgun being held by the older man in the bed. It is possible Arbery did not consider him a threat as he was older and over weight.
Arbery ran close to the trucks right side. As soon as he cleared the right front fender there is a gunshot. The shooter was about parallel with the left side of the truck and a few front in front. I am guessing here - probably 6 to 8 feet away from arbery.
Arbery then rushed the shooter and a struggle ensued for control of the gun. The struggle continued out of frame of the cell phone and a second shot is heard..
The struggle comes back in frame and a third shot is heard. After that arbery takes about 6 steps and falls to the pavement.
Just to add an opinion,
There's a good possibility that arbery did not view the older man as a threat because of his age as he has a grey bread and he was over weight. The shooter was a threat because he was younger but still overweight and his gun was visible. The older mans gun might not have been visible. Arbery was young and in athletic condition.
Turns out that a pump action shotgun loaded with buckshot was used. That means the shooter reloaded twice during the struggle.
Arbery had wounds to his right wrist and 2 to the chest. The wound to his wrist could have happened from the first or second shot. 2 pellets were in his wrist. From the video, there appears to be a bloodstain to his upper right chest from the second shot just below his armpit. This would have weakened him making the third shot easier.
The third shot appears to be to the left chest of arbery. It was the fatal shot. Elasped time from being shot to actual death would depend on what internal damage was done.

With all that said, this happened about 50 miles away from me so local news is watching developments. All 3 men charged had a bond hearing yesterday. It came out that the shooter was known in his neighborhood as a racist. The man who took the video quoted the shooter to Georiga Bureau of Investigation officers after he had shot Arbery as saying "fn n*****"
