Resident has not answered two of my posts. But I'm wondering is this a forum with dialogue or a monologue.
No offense but I simply can't relate to you. I'm sure you're a wonderful person but not everyone clicks with everyone else. Perhaps if you kept things a little shorter and to the point we would have something to talk about.

It's really a sense of futility. I could spend an hour compiling facts and figures and putting together a coherent statement ... which will be glanced over and rejected in less than 5 seconds without ever being seriously heard or considered. Is the work worth the outcome? More and more that answer is no.

I could put together facts and figures of how trump and the republicans gave a huge permanent tax break to the rich and a small temporary one to the workers he claims he is supporting. But you won't take even the slightest moment to consider them.

I could list all the conservative sycophants, judges, and audits that have all said the election was not fraudulent. But they won't be considered either.

I can list the numerous times conservatives have pushed trickle down economics and how every single time it has failed and only enriched the top. But that too will fall on deaf ears and blind eyes.

I could show how since prince Reagan was in office executive compensation has skyrocketed while worker pay has been stagnant. But your response will be that everyone should be a ceo, ignoring the fact the the world needs worker bees and worker bees deserve a life too.

The fact is, your hatred for all things liberal has blinded you to the sins of the right. You don't want to hear about them, you don't want to see them, you don't want to acknowledge them.

I can show you half a dozen or more scriptures that say people will falsely come in God's Name deceiving His people and drawing them away from the truth. But hey as long as they are against abortion that's ok.

And right there - that's the one and only thing you're going to glom onto and knee-jerk respond to in the face of everything else. You've done it before and you'll do it again.

So forgive me for heaving a sigh and declining to waste my time trying to enlighten the willfully blind. It's just not worth the effort any more.

Well I think most people like to hear a fair answer. But just because you think it's a fair answer doesn't mean others will agree. Or they may partly agree. That's what a discussion forum is all about. People constantly forget that here.
Opinions are open to discussion. Facts not so much, or at least they didn't use to be. Suppose we are discussing eggplant. Opinion can be over whether one thinks it's tasty or not, and a debate on that is fine. But then I say It's a fruit not a vegetable. You argue that no it's a vegetable because that's what everyone you listen to has always said. I then point out, with reputable references, that it is the spawn of a flower, and that things that grow out of flowers are fruits. That's a fact. But you keep insisting in the face of the fact that it's a vegetable.

That's where we are in politics these days. Facts be damned, you believe what you believe and no fact is going to sway your belief!

So why even try any more?

Here is your quote,

I agree with you JTB, we need some better options but that'll never happen as things are now. The only thing Democrats and Republicans can agree on is there must be no other options.

Here is the shorter version. If you need examples on topics refer to the original post.

Define better options. What policies or topics do you believe should be promoted and supported in running a country? What is your stance on some of the major current topics?

It's very simple and clear from the discussion I was having with JTB, by other options I mean more than two parties.

As a middle class citizen the tax breaks and trickle down was only one part of tax breaks. Under Trump it allowed me to make more money and I had higher bonuses. Also the child tax credit was increased from $1000 to $2000 per child. Jobs was up with no employment problems until the pandemic and blue states had their states locked down for long periods of time.

Now I can barely make it with one income.

The election was never investigated on the scale to determine full scale fraud enough to swing the election.

State audits have found election fraud or illegal acts by attorney generals or state legislators through abuse of emergency actions.

Pages 20 and 21 in the link:

Reagan was never a prince.

Pay raises do not help when the economy is in the toilet. Free market capitalism has allowed me to be competitive for better pay and even went to school to get a better paying job. Was doing good until Biden.

Out of which topics that the conservative Republican party agrees with is sinful? What voting positions is sinful? Abortion is only one topic.

As for giving scriptures about false prophets I do not see the relevance.

Okay so which topics or policies would you want a new party to uphold and fight for?

You are correct on that score. A third party was badly needed by 2016. Had Donald Trump created a third party -- totally conservative and upholding the Constitution fully -- all the real conservatives would have left the Republican party, and it would have gone into the dustbin of history. His biggest mistake was to run as a Republican, which then resulted in all his other mistakes. The RINOs hated him as much as the Demoncrats, and they still do.

I understand it can be frustrating. But I hope we don't lose a CC friendship over politics. There has been so much hidden, so much lying and trickery that people simply don't trust what is claimed to be "fact" anymore. Dems changed laws just before the elections. And just mark my words and see if we don't have a sudden "variant" just before this next election. They dragged ol' Fauci out again to hint we still might have to go back to masking. I simply do not trust a word out of a Dems mouth these days. Pity is, they did it to themselves.
