Sorry Democrats are not reasonable.
They do not want term limits.
All he is doing is straddling both sides of the fence hoping it will work politically. It won't.
Trump is just the public face of a military exercise to show to the public they've been duped. He plays both sides because it works - most people are stupid. Several decades ago, he leaned more to the Democrat side, but people have forgotten already.

A heard a minister tell of the time he played golf overseas. There were monkeys that lived in the trees along the coarse. Occasionally, a monkey would descend and grab a golfer's ball. Invariably, the golfers would yell at the monkey which would scurry away, dropping the ball at some point. The coarse rule was to play the ball from where the monkey drops it.
Many times in life we get a poor lie. We can pick up your ball and go home, or hit the ball from where the monkey dropped it.

I believe the times, they are a changin'. It doesn't matter if the Democrats answer. It only matters that the public sees them not answering. Tyranny still has to be done in the dark here. When it is exposed to the light, more and more people see it. Trump got more votes than any prior sitting President in the last election. People are getting it. It's hard to change the course of a large ship quickly.
I don't see things changing that quickly, certainly not to the point of 60/40. IMO, we should be focusing on change at the state level. Passing a 15-week law at the federal level could override states that have more stringent laws.

I wrote earlier that it should be a states issue. But a federal law can be written to allow states to go to an earlier date. I also wrote that it takes time to turn a large ship. But you never turn if you don't start turning.

Wow! That is not the lesson I would take from that.

I would think "what is God trying to say to me" and I would conclude that He is asking me a simple question, you are a child of the king, so why are you spending so much time and money to play a game that is so stupid even the monkeys are mocking you? Similar to Balaam reflecting on what his donkey was saying to him.

I don't play golf, but I have often said that when we appear before the judgement seat none of us will regret not having watched more TV.

You are simply a contrarian.

The word of God is a lamp to my footsteps, which is why I am on a path that leads to life and that few find.
I never disputed this. At any rate, our discourse has become unprofitable. Have a blessed day.

The federal law would need to not override the states. I'm not convinced that they would write it that way, nor if SCOTUS would interpret it that way, which is why I prefer no federal law. I'm not saying do nothing, I'm saying we can make more and sooner gains at the state level.

I don't disagree with this. And there are advantages and disadvantages either way. And, upon reflection, the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment would probably preclude states from going to a shorter term.

Returning to Mike Pence I remember the debate between him and Kamala Harris and she mopped the floor with him. Can you imagine?!

She attacked the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett using an example of Lincoln which was a brazen lie, if Pence was well educated he would have obliterated that argument. It is very hard to imagine that his prep team hadn't prepared him for that seeing the firestorm around the Barrett nomination.

But how can anyone have any respect for a candidate that loses a debate to Kamala Harris?

It is like losing a debate to a kid in kindergarten. We used to make fun of George Bush with his "aw schucks" demeanor, then Trump with his 5th grade vocabulary, but Kamala is exponentially worse.

If Trump gets convicted, goes to jail and dies in prison(which is highly likely) the next prophesy circulating in the future will probably be that Trump Jr, Eric, Barron or Ivanka will run for president and continue their father's legacy.

Here's the thing that Christians are missing. I don't know what Trump would do, but in four yrs. there was nothing that bothered me that I thought wrong in policy. If Christians sit this one out it is likely Biden will win another 4yrs, which means they will fight to have abortion the law of the land and they will have no limits.

Then there is this, my mothers brother wrong her that gas in Canada is now $8 a liter where he is and expects it to go to $12 a liter by Christmas. If you don't think this is where the climate nuts are headed you're as crazy as they are. Like I say, Republicans don't win because they don't stick together. Half of them are Rinos and the other half won't vote unless Jesus himself is on the ballot and I'm pretty sure they'd find fault with Him.

That was probably one of the character traits of the fruit of the spirit not wanting to escalate tension.
Did you see it?

Trump had nominated a Supreme court justice to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Kamala Harris argued that it Lincoln had set the precedence to not nominate someone this close to an election.

Actually what happened was congress had already dismissed and to call them back in could not be accomplished before the election. So, Lincoln told them that if he were reelected he would nominate a particular judge, which encouraged them to all campaign for his reelection. He gave them the nomination the first day they returned.

Pence could have shown that Harris was a big liar, instead he made it look like Trump shouldn't be nominating a Supreme court justice.

And you call that the "fruit of the spirit"? Yuck!
