Do not be naive

A lot of people are looking for Artificial Intelligence agents. By that they mean that you tell the AI what to do and it goes and does it. For example, suppose I am a campaign manager, I make a list of 25 things we need to do. Create commercials, contact people, do interviews, consult with certain experts, etc. I would then tell AI to go and set up those meetings, make those commercials, etc.

The problem is why can't I simply have an AI that is a campaign manager. Instead of 25 things needed it might make a list of 50 things. Instead of taking a week or a month to do them it might get it done in a day or a week.

If AI is so great why do we still need the campaign manager?

People have assumed that it could be 20 years after we achieve AGI that we get to ASI (Artificial General Intelligence and Artificial Super Intelligence). But already if we get AGI the AI will be more intelligent than every person on the planet.

Already AI is rewriting the code for AI. Think how many coders and how many lines of code are in there, it may be that some of the people on this planet are still better coders than AI, but so what. If it can go through all its lines of code and make small improvements that alone could cause it to increase by 5% in its skill level and IQ. Already the IQ is estimated to be 155 to 165. How many of the coders who wrote that code were operating at that level?

But you can apply the same technique to the design of the chips and all the components in the computers. If you make the parts better, cheaper and more economic. Then it will be very feasible to make them more powerful. So this too could cause you to increase by 5%. All these things give us a positive feedback loop.

Now the biggest and scariest improvement last week was that they could train AI using Youtube videos. That Shifts the training of these models into high gear. But the biggest and scariest improvement this week is they can be trained using synthetic data, training that is created by the AI itself. This improvement can cut the time to train the AI model by 90%, again decreasing the time required for the development of this AI to shrink drastically.

Some people are saying they can use ChatGPT5 for autonomous agents (AGI) and so this is why they are saying that AGI will be here in 7 months, it is already here in the lab, simply has to have the infrastructure to roll it out to the public.

The chief executive of Italian defense group Leonardo said Friday that he's more concerned about the "stupidity" of users of artificial intelligence rather than the threats posed by the technology itself.
His comments come amid repeated warnings about the dangers of AI, with U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres recently calling on international political and business leaders to prioritize a global strategy to deal with the technology.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in January, Guterres said the rapid development of AI could result in "serious unintended consequences."

"To be honest, what concerns me more is the lack of control from humans, who are still making wars after 2,000 years," Roberto Cingolani, CEO of Leonardo, told CNBC's "Squawk Box Europe" on Friday.

"With this in mind, artificial intelligence is a tool. It is an algorithm made by humans, that is run by computers made by humans, that controls machines made by humans. I am more afraid, more worried [about] national stupidity than artificial intelligence to be honest," he added.

"I have a scientific background, so I definitely consider technology as neutral. The problem is the user, not the technology itself."
'Stupidity' poses a bigger threat than AI, CEO of Italian defense giant Leonardo says (msn.com)

I agree with him in regards to pervasive stupidity due to the Internet but i don't agree when he says "it's tool" because that's the mindset for weapons.
So with the "tools" comment he's justifying his obsession with this creation which would be difficult to be put back into the box once it's unleashed - just like the atomic bomb.
A lot of the scientists back in 1940 had the same mindset and then developed guilt after they saw people incinerated in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

WHISTLEBLOWER Reveals Complete AGI TIMELINE, 2024 - 2027 (Q*, QSTAR)

Wow! We have to understand the terms. 50% AGI does not mean that the AI is half of a typical humans intelligence. What it means is that AGI can replace 50% of humans. That is what they are rolling out now.

Second, replacing 50% of humans doesn't mean 50% of the people looking for jobs need to be worried. It can be much closer to 100%. For example, suppose we look at the four lawyers on the Trump side in the Fanni Willis case, perhaps 50% AGI cannot replace them. But those guys aren't graduating this year from law school looking for a job. 50% of lawyers might mean 100% of people applying out of law school.

But it gets worse. Within a year it will be 90th percentile AGI! Why would you hire someone who you know in one year will be obsolete?

Now consider this, suppose you are an elite lawyer, you operate in the 90+ percentile range. Which would you rather have as an assistant. A kid out of college that you have to train or a 50% AGI that you can get to do jobs for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, will be available where ever you are, even if you are on the road, does not get sick, does not complain and does not sue the firm. Not only so you know that within a year this AGI assistant will be operating at the 90% level.

WHISTLEBLOWER Reveals Complete AGI TIMELINE, 2024 - 2027 (Q*, QSTAR)

Wow, he says something really important. You can look at AI based solely on the number of synapses and calculate that when it gets to 100 trillion it will be on the human brain level. Obviously the software can get it operating at your top 90% of humans, but the computer alone is like a race car that can now compete in the Indianapolis 500. In 2021 a company made a computer than could handle 120 trillion synapses. This means they have a computer now, that can operate at optimum US brain levels. Make a few improvements, increase the synapses to 200 trillion and you have super AGI. We can be sure over the last 3 years they have been working on making those improvements.

For $20 a month you can get a really good AI coder that works 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Claude 3 just destroyed GPT-4 and Gemini... AGI is near?

Good luck getting a job coding. Think about how far we have come in 12 months and how much further we will be 6 months from now.

They calculate that this robot could cost $120k or more. But realize companies will almost certainly lease them, so figure 25k a year for a robot that can work 4 shifts a week lifting heavy stuff, unloading and loading trucks or train cars. I suspect the robot will be replacing someone who makes 60k a year and only works one shift a week.

GPT4 and Claude Opus both are neck and neck operating at around 87% of undergraduate knowledge. Now that is in every discipline. So you might have a number of undergraduates who perform better in English but not Math, and vice versa. Then it also performs that well in coding. So how many students are at the 87% mark on those three categories? It is clearly operating better than 90% of college graduates today.

But they have several techniques to rapidly improve its performance. First, you can make the machines have more synapses. If they can increase the synapses they increase the performance. Second, you can have improvements made to the coding and since you have AI performing well at coding it can go over the entire code deck to make subtle improvements.

But consider this, how many jobs can a student scoring in the top 10% of college graduates do? Which would you prefer, AI doing that job at perhaps 20k a year, working 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and being available anywhere you have internet, or a college graduate who works 40 hours a week, and costs 100k a year and might sue you?

Also, another way they improve AI is with data and they can get data by doing jobs. If AI does a million jobs that will give it a tremendous amount of data in a single year.

Remember AlphaGo went from the 87% range of Go players to the world champion in about 3 months training itself. This thing will improve so fast no one will be able to keep up. By this summer it might be so superior to college graduates that major companies are no longer considering hiring anyone.

This video is 11 months old. This means that McDonald's has approximately 11 months of data to calculate the ROI on this style restaurant and to fix kinks and bugs in automation process. They were also able to calculate how well the public will receive such a thing.

Please note how everyone sees that the robots can do the job faster, cheaper, better and yet they are telling you that they don't envision robots replacing jobs. This is what they will tell you right up until they do replace jobs. At that point they'll simply stop talking about it. The fact is they do have robots that can do the entire process. What you will probably see is robots that clean the floor, deliver your food, take your order and cook your food while at the same time trying to have a manager that is out front so people can always see people in the store pushing the narrative that people are not being replaced.

About 8% of the US labor force works in a restaurant. If robots can significantly cut the cost to the restaurant the pressure could become intense for them to bring in the robots.
