I lost a dog to that toxic Chinese food years ago. A good rule is to never buy any sort of food for you or your pets from China.
I am so sorry for your loss. It is particularly hard to lose a beloved companion to a toxic pet product.
I always check the labels when I buy my pup snacks. The Chinese manufacturers utilize western labels to make them sound like they're safe and made in America, but when you look on the back, thank God for our labeling laws in the U.S. , you see where they actually originate from.
I never buy from China and if I see someone looking at Milos Kitchen products I warn them too.
There's another ingredient in pet products, as well as human products from food stuff to toothpaste; Sodium Laureth Sulfate. It's derived from coconut but it is so stringent that it us used in floor stripper. It is used in our shampoo's, toothpastes, etc... because of the sudsing factor. People seem to think if they get a lot of suds when washing their hair, body, or hands, that the product works. And yet, the largest organ of the body is the skin. We absorb what we put on our sin into our bloodstream.
There was a huge "OH OH!" factor I think it was this past summer concerning suntan lotions containing sunscreen. Not only do those products affect and kill ocean reefs, but they cause health issues due to the chemicals being absorbed into the bloodstream through the skin application.
Also, and this is wholly unconscionable, and appears in may pet products as well as human as well, and believe it or not, its antifreeze!

Why is this garbage put in toothpastes, cosmetics, manufactured confections like cupcakes, etc...? Because it is the cheap route to go for a sweetener, and it prevents damage , per the confections and other foodstuffs, when freezing them.
And then we wonder why humans suffer cancers, particularly that of our eliminatory organs, like bowel and liver, and our pets do too.
