Well its odd to think Miss Cortez is younger than me and a member of congress it seems unreal really. But I can almost guarantee she did not learn about The Holocaust at her schools im fairly certain they stopped teaching it due too liberal snowflake nonsense who want to pretend that humanity was all happy and inclusive till now
She is older than I am, and I learned about the Holocaust. I think every developed country has the Holocaust on its educational curriculum.

I'm afraid it may not be the case in most Us schools you would think it would be but politics has breached common sense at this point.

With the old format, the "banned" label was automatic. With this format it actually takes extra steps for it to show publicly that a user was removed. Most of the time we don't take the time to do those extra steps in which case although they are banned the user title doesn't change.
Just curious if there is any particular reason you chose to label this individual.

The dangerously stupid AOC compared detention centers to concentration camps this week.
The entire border crisis has been handled very poorly by the Trump administration, and he has also allowed saboteurs to hold office in the Department of Homeland Security, and also become his advisers outside that department.

There would have been no need of any detention centers within the USA if this matter had been properly, seriously, and thoroughly addressed, and placed under military supervision over two years ago.

No one in any part of the world has the right to breach any nation's borders forcibly. As a matter of national security that wall which Mr. Trump promised should have already been in place right across the border. As Commander-in-Chief and also President, he had the duty as well as the authority to ensure for the sake of national security there would be absolutely no breaches of border security, and that every illegal invader would be immediately deported back to Mexico. None of that has really happened.

Indeed, the trade deal with Mexico should have included border security and deportation within its terms and conditions. So it is hard to believe that Mr. Trump is serious about this matter, since he has just done a flip-flop on deportation (when he has every right to follow through).

As to Ocasio-Cortez, she is just an evil witch who has no clue about anything, and it would not be surprising if she was voted in through voter fraud. Voter fraud was a serious issue in the last two elections, and if Mr. Trump fails to address this matter effectively (and it does not seem to be getting addressed), it may even mean that a Democrat Extremist or Communist will replace him by getting a few million illegal votes.

No one yet has come up with an answer for this situation. No need to pinpoint Trump. Whatever he tries to do some liberal judge shuts it down. Congress could fix this in minutes but won't.

The wall is being built. And it's been like pulling teeth all the way. Rhinos in the party won't stand behind him, liberals are throwing everything they can at him to stop him. I frankly don't know how he's gotten anything done.

Yep, certainly agree there. She's mindless for sure. But she's a taste of our next voters. If that doesn't frighten you I don't know what will. We've had several people here and a few banned that deny the Holocaust. Totally indoctrinated in revisionist history and other liberal bull.

Everyone banned should be labeled as such ,otherwise people continue to respond to the person.

I have noticed that people from outside of the USA frequently have a tendency of naming Republicans In Name Only as RHINO.

The correct abbreviation would be RINO😀.

Yes. REPUBLICANS IN NAME ONLY. A better and more accurate term would be TRAITORS.

I like to remember 2 things here

1. Trump inherited the porous border situation

2. billionaire one worlders are paving and paying for the caravans

I do not believe there is any country in the entire world that has left itself open to the illegals flooding in

They're so dramatic. I'd keep an eye on anyone who tried to disarm me. I even met a creeper who told me pepper spray was illegal. I thought ya right, youd love that wouldn't you.

The dangerously stupid AOC compared detention centers to concentration camps this week. The link is to a response from a rabbi who corrects her "facts". AOC states “And for the shrieking Republicans who don’t know the difference: concentration camps are not the same as death camps.” The rabbi responds with historical facts:

"For the record, starting with Dachau in 1933, Nazi concentration camps were opened where German socialists, communists, labor leaders, dissidents, and Jews were targeted for persecution, torture and even death.

Future heads of all the Nazi killing centers of the 1940s all honed their brutal skills at breaking inmate’s bodies, spirits, and souls in Dachau. After the 1938 Kristallnacht pogrom in Germany, some 10,000 Jews were rounded up without a pretense of judicial process and dispatched there. Some perished.

During World War II, Nazi concentration camps were death camps where innocent Jewish men women and children were murdered or died of disease or starvation. The camps were an integral part of the Holocaust and Hitler's "final solution" to kill every Jew on Earth.

Fast forward to today. No American with a heart is satisfied with the disastrous situation on our southern border. Unquestionably, migrants are suffering. But they are not being murdered by the millions, their bodies then turned to ashes in crematoria."

The rabbi continues...

As a public service, I would like to recall a 2013 ceremony that took place six years ago when we at the Simon Wiesenthal Center honored Ed Royce – not the recently retired California Republican congressman, but his father.

The elder Royce was one the American GIs who helped liberate the Dachau concentration camp in April 1945. Ed took pictures that day and what he saw was seared into his consciousness for the rest of his life. In his own words he recalled an experience that almost defied description:

“I saw heaps of clothes in front of the building with bad – German for bath – painted on the door, the shower heads that pumped deadly gas instead of water, the room filled halfway to the ceiling with naked bodies and the room with ovens for burning the bodies,” Royce told the gathering at the Museum of Tolerance. “There was an entire trainload – hundreds of emaciated bodies – on a nearby rail spur. Evidently they had starved to death on the train.”

Royce’s black-and-white photos documented the ovens and corpses of murder victims at the camp. An estimated 30,000 prisoners died at Dachau from extermination, disease, starvation and suicide. Yet that horrific number was tiny compared with the estimated 1.1 million people who died at the Auschwitz concentration camp.

It appears AOC needs a lesson in history or two.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is right that not to handle people with care, keeping them is open areas with fences
over-night does not look good.

As an emergency measure where resources are stretched, ok, but as a regular process, this is just negligence
and some kind of punishment. Detention centres exist all over the world with bunks, dormitories used in hostels
etc as acceptable practice when dealing with such people.

These facilities do not have to be great or anything but simple buildings etc.

Efficiency and dealing with people quickly, so those with real need are met, and those who need just to be
sent home, go there, sends a much bigger signal, do not even try.

Well the issue is that the borders are being flooded, literally, with people. There is no chance to "handle people with care". There really isn't. We need the walls built and other measures to keep illegals out. IMO the country is being intentionally flooded. Who is coming in? Time will tell.

people need to look at actual pictures and video of what the detention centers are really like. and not believe what the lying media says, and the 5 year old pictures of kids in cages.

that is no more. and, not to mention all this " concern " for the children while at the same time completely ignoring the human trafficking going on down there. many of the kids are with adults who are not there parents or family.

seriously?

negligence? some kind of punishment?

they ARE simple buildings and were never meant for the use in which they find themselves engaged

and btw, the late great mr O is the one who had the cages built.

Liberals wrongly link 2014 photo showing illegal immigrants in cages to Trump administration

Two female detainees sleep in a holding cell, as the children are separated by age group and gender, as hundreds of mostly Central American immigrant children are being processed and held at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Nogales Placement ... more >
By Victor Morton - The Washington Times - Monday, May 28, 2018
Some liberal activists and journalists scrambled Sunday and Monday to delete tweets and social media posts incorrectly linking the Trump administration to an old photo of detained illegal-immigrant minors being held in a cage.
The 2014 shot was actually taken during the Obama administration.
The photo went viral as liberals — perhaps spurred by unrelated reports that Homeland Security “lost track of” almost 1,500 illegal-immigrant minors after they were released — mistakenly assumed the shot was taken much more recently, and rushed to criticize Trump administration “cruelty.”
“This is happening right now, and the only debate that matters is how we force our government to get these kids back to their families as fast as humanly possible,” former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau said on Twitter.
Mr. Favreau deleted the tweet, though not before it had been screen-captured.

I am wondering how long it is going to be before there is an Ebola outbreak somewhere...with the illegals from the Congo

children being 'rented'...I would not rent my dog never mind child...so that is the mindset of some people coming in...no care for their own childrens lives never mind a proper regard for a country they say they want to immigrate into

measles and other 3rd world country contagious and dangerous illnesses...I had to have inoculations I did not need (coming from Canada) to be able to reside in this country but illegals just come on in and spread the joy

now we hear about how they do not need documentation to get on a plane...other than the slip of paper that indicates a court date for which they most likely will not even show up for...while those born in the US need to prove who they are. what a joke it all is!

gang members, criminals and on and on and on

Mr Soros and his friends are quite happy about it all. none of it will touch them in their walled mansions anyway

but the poor children! the children have become a commodity and are being used as currency

that, is the quality of some of the people entering this country illegally. you do not want them living near you because the life you have means nothing to them at all

it's not immigration

it's invasion

This is a PR issue.
If things are being coped with and there is no an emergency, then to keep things under control
the government could show it.

Unfortunately the truth is complex, and there is always fear that showing more will create more
problems. I believe in applying pressure through approval and encouragement.

I remember when they split up families, the policy began to be revised as it was counter productive.
Like all situations there are bad cases and good cases. Seeing the balance and what is reasonable is
always more difficult without statistics and finding out the general experience rather than the extremes.

your comments about ignoring human trafficking and kids coming here who are traveling with people who are not their parents are so true.

Who is benefiting monetarily in these cases? People are being paid to bring migrants here. And children are being used by adults who are not the parent of the child.

I read an article about "rent a child" ...

A Guatemalan man allegedly paid a family the equivalent of $130 to “rent” their eight-year-old son so that he could go to the U.S. as a “family,” federal prosecutors told a Tucson grand jury in March. He also allegedly paid another $130 (about 1,000 quetzales) to another person who created a false birth certificate for the child.
...
Velasquez is not alone in his efforts to cheat the U.S. immigration and asylum system. Since October 1, 2018, Border Patrol officials in the Yuma Sector reported more than 700 fraudulent family cases, the news outlet reported. Some of those alleged fraudulent cases involve a migrant claiming to be an unaccompanied minor when they are actually an adult. Still others involved misrepresenting the relations between two travelers.
