Creed were not really a Christian band. They had religious tones to their music, but if you look at My Own Prison album, in one song he's talking about the cross, and in another song he uses God d*** repeatedly. The singer quit eventually and apparently had a bad time at first, in lots of junk. Then he 'got right with God' and released a solo album sold in a lot of Christian stores, until he got pulled over for DUI and started getting into junk again. I haven't heard about him since.
The rest of the guys stuck together, got a new singer and changed the name to Alter Bridge. Its somewhat popular among Christians, as well, but not sure how 'Christian' it really is.
That being said, i do enjoy some of their music, still.
Also i'm assuming you meant 1990's Creed from America, not the 1980's Christian band Creed from Germany...
