in REAL Christian families, when the Husband truly puts God first, you know that the wife is subject
to the Head of the family.,..the buck stops with 'the Husband being the Head of the household...
rare these days we are well aware of, but, nothing or no one can change Jesus' Holy Order...

this song (man smart, woman smarter) dates all the way back to 1936 & was first popularized by Harry Belafonte. i don't think it's a song about how roles *should* be flipped, but about how they *become* flipped in certain ways - and the illustrations in the song are all hinting at men being foolish.
my wife got tickets for us to see the grateful dead ((the living ones of them)) a few weeks ago, for our 20th anniversary. they didn't play this song in the set we were treated to, though they often did for years ((one never knows which of a couple-hundred songs, both their own and all kinds of covers, they will pick from on a given night - though 'drums & space' is usually a given)).
being reminded of the dead's large catalog, since the show, we've been listening on and off to some other live recordings, and this one has stood out to me if for nothing else, its "groove" -- this is the thread for "what you've been listening to" and this is one of the tracks i've played repeatedly recently. that's really all the purpose is here, for me.
but my wife has demonstrated regularly how much more sensible about a variety of things she is, without leaving her place. that's the purpose of an advisor and how an advisor functions - bringing wisdom & perspective, without usurping authority. this is how a good companion - a 'co-pilot' should be, isn't it? and in it's been in regard to a lot of common-sense things where post has 'flaked' and she's been steadfast that i've heard what she suggested or said, stopped, sang a bit of this song, and we've looked into each others eyes laughing. that's the relevance to me
