Oh man what is this I could only play it for seconds it sounded creepy???
7 viritues in order .) Hildegard can be seen as the first “nun” creating a monastery for women. She had a lifestyle where she saw disease as a discondition of the mind or bad fluidsteaming in the body. She got quite old for that time.

She is worth an investigation. If I would’ve lived in her age I would walk up to her, bow my head and ask her for a dance :) She’s the first componist of classical music we know today.

A monastery?? Not many opportunities to witness to the lost and win souls then...
Surely we should all be making music 😁:
“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord”
Ephesians 5:19
Amen

Well maybe she and all those other women needed saving from male dominant lost souls in the patriarch ;) lol. She was a lightbeacon for women back then. Women lined up in line to join her. And they did many good works for society and the elderly. Nuns still do till this very day. I love nuns lol.

Keep in mind she was a devoted christian woman in the 12th century still known to this day. That means something because few christian women are remembered, specially of that age.

Music is quite essential in a collective prayer where we synch as one body in Christ. But today it’s not done the way it’s done back then. Most European churches are built to resonate the singing just right, yet it’s rare today to hear true gospel song.

We really lost most of our Judea-Christian heritage in Europe which saddens me in a way.

The Holy Spirit has actually given me songs on very rare occasions and I sing in the Spirit sometimes, it still happens, especially if people will allow Him to lead which is rare but God’s Spirit is still in His people and some still are singing in the Spirit as the Word says. Being filled with the Spirit is essential, again as the Word tells us.
I don’t think nuns are great; if anything I feel sorry for them; many may be sincere but they are also renowned in history to be harsh and even child abusers to this day. Roman Catholic doctrine sends many to Hell and many Catholics will sadly be void of the true Spirit of God. Forced celibacy in the church has caused many problems and is unscriptural.
It is good to hear that she was able to possibly help those under oppression from dominant, ungodly men and also that she helped those in need, amen. However nuns are in bondage and deprived unnecessarily of the freedom in Christ that God has for them because of man made doctrines that are not from God.

Well that is a hard to debate. Because nuns are not born into nunhood, they choose to become nuns. They are been given the choice and explicitly told what to expect when becoming a nun. They even get sufficient time to think about it. I am well aware of the Roman Catholic iniquities. Sad and I have not been silent about them.

However, I was surrounded by nuns during my whole lifehood. Schools, grandparents, even later when my grandmother chose to live between nuns. She could not become a nun because she had been married before. Yet she had a place in the monastry and was well known.
Those sisters, boy could they work and live for our Lord. They took care of eldery who had no families or could not care for themselves anymore. It is very expensive otherwise but they arranged cheap stayings for elderly with less income. I have great memories with nuns and will always see them as my sisters.
Never have I seen the need to feel sorry for them, but I can imagine it’s a hard lifestyle to maintain all your life.

Also male priests are deprived of every freedom. Or at least that should be the case but I think their flesh is weaker then the female nuns. Nuns warm my heart. :)

Hi Butterfly, that was during a time I was still in school. It was years ago. It is not a type of meditation I would participate in again.

With that said, I'm not against all types of meditation. For example there are some Christian meditation that has you focus on a particular portion of Scripture. One youtube channel that does this is called Abide. They have one where it reads from Psalm 23 in the KJV and later in the Amplied Bible.

I am not against yoga if it is done for only physical stretching and exercise. There is however one yoga magazine edition that had yoga poses one can do along with a prayer to a particular deity. That is not something I would participate in because it was a exercise in praying to a false deity, which is clearly idol worship. I ended up throwing that magazine away.

I agree with you that it is good to ask God for wisdom.
Consider that yoga was created to be a spiritual practice. Even as it evolved over the centuries it was centered around eastern spiritualism.
The same goes with the concept of the word 'meditation'. Regardless of ones intentions the use of that word will bring that eastern religion notion to most peoples minds as it is the most popular interpretation of the word.
I've always felt it an unwise word to use by Christians due to it bringing other mystical notions with it. The modern idea of meditation has a specific and spiritual meaning to it today.
