You trapped him so he won't ever give you a straight answer. I've seen multiple pages of you using his words against him and he either ignores the question or slyly gives a response, not an answer. It might be time you just move on Hipster.

You've made me reconsider my position on the topic by the way. It's something I'll have to pray and study more on.
I'm stubborn and persistent... lol

If you're saying the unborn is the equivalent of the mother carrying it, how is not invalid to substitute the unborn with a living and breathing child?

Given:
A = X

If:
A + Y = Z

Then:
X + Y = Z

A = living breathing human being
X = unborn child
Y = to kill
Z = murder

Maybe if I put it in mathematical terms you'll get it. You're saying X + Y does not = Z when A + Y = Z and A = X. You're saying it's invalid to compare a 5 year old to an unborn child but in the same breath, you're saying they are equal. Do you see the contradiction here?
You cannot substitute letters for lives ... Your analogies are not based upon fact and offer no consideration for medical difficulties during a pregnancy ... Anyway I already answered your question ... Are you never satisfied ? ...

Why are medical difficulties relevant though? If you're convicted aborting an unborn child is murder, then aborting it when there is a chance (regardless of the difficulties) that it COULD be viable is still murder. If there is a possibility the unborn child COULD BE viable, but you instead choose to abort or "murder" it to avoid the difficulties, then it's still murder. The fact there were difficulties doesn't negate the fact that the unborn child was innocent and you didn't let it have a chance to live. You're sugarcoating and making excuses now... Subconsciously, you even changed the word from "murder" to "sacrifice" to appease your conclusion.

And the reason for the word "sacrifice" instead of the word "murder" is perfectly logical when one life is being taken in order to save another because that is the definition of "sacrifice" ... That situation is entirely different from 99% of the abortions carried out where neither the mother nor child is at risk but a life is taken anyway ... That is "murder" ... If you cannot see the difference then that is no fault of mine ... I just explained it perfectly ...

There are many, many factors which are relevant when either the mother or child are at risk of dying ... Many of those have not even been mentioned yet ... Just one for example would be what if the mother had cancer and was likely to die in a year, yet the baby was healthy and only one could be saved due to difficulties in the pregnancy ? ... A situation you have not mentioned yet could arise ... In that situation I would "sacrifice" the mother and save the child for logical reasons ... It would not make sense to let the child die with possibly 80 or more years to live in order to save a mother that only has 1 year to live ... So, in that scenario it would be wise to do the reverse and save the child while the mother dies ... As said only one can live in this scenario ... Should be the child here ...

The substituting of the word murder for sacrifice is a logical one when one life is being taken in order to save another ... I've already explained that ... Also you are not allowing for any percentage of chance the unborn is going to live or die due to difficulties ... A medical professional would have to determine that and that would have to be entered into the decision making process ... Be much different if the chance of survival was 5 % opposed to 95 % ... And don't ask me where the cutoff line would be because that would have to be a personal decision made by a family trying to do the best thing under doctor supervision ...

I'm not really interested in alternative scenarios at the moment when we fundamentally disagree on when a person is a living soul. I'm sort of fixated on your double-standard for murder. You use pregnancy difficulties as justification to take an innocent life (aka murder) knowing you really aren't the one in control, God is...but then condemn women who are raped and choose to have an abortion. It just sounds like you're basing morals off what you feel and think and not what the word of God has to say about it.

There is no double-standard here ... What you are failing to take into account is that every situation involves it's own parameters and nuances ... For that reason I cannot give you the blanket statement you're looking for and that is perfectly logical ... When a mother's life is at risk each case needs to be evaluated based upon it's own merits ... Would you not agree that is logical ? ...

But there is a way out of this dilemma
praying in the Holy Spirit
laying hands on a person for a healing
that's what we do in Pentecost

I posted in my thread
"They Shall Lay Hands On The Sick"
a challenging testimony from a sister in Christ,
Anne Timmi from our church in Papua New Guinea.
Anne had experienced an ectopic pregnancy where the
fetus is developing
outside the uterus, most likely in a fallopian tube.

"In September, 1997 during my pregnancy I suddenly started
bleeding heavily.
I went to the hospital and the doctor scanned my baby and
found out that my baby was formed outside the uterus."

Her fellow brothers and sisters in our Revival Fellowship prayed for Anne
in tongues (the Holy Spirit) and Anne's baby was miraculously transferred
over into her uterus for a normal birth.
Think about that. The baby, the placenta, the umbilical cord, etc.

Faith is how we circumvent doctrinal arguments that are full of
perplexity. Faith and prayer - rather than our solutions in the flesh.

Also I am really truly glad and thankful that my mother did not
abort me way back in 1955 when unmarried mothers was a big no no.
My Dad walked out and away from my Mum and me.

Anyway I got put into an orphanage until I was adopted by my Dad
and his new wife who made him come and get me in 1959.

So now here I am able to post away and annoy others on Christian
Chat insisting that you must be able to pray in tongues to indicate that
one has truly really genuinely been baptised in the Holy Spirit.
God has a plan and uses the most unlikely peoples.

Mind boggling - in order for me to be born again by water and Holy Spirit
baptism (with the Bible evidence of praying in tongues) I needed to be
saved - my father needed to be saved from death several times during the
Second World War, my grandfather had to have my father,
like I said mind boggling.

And because I was adopted and not aborted I grew up to have my own
children, and now I have grandchildren.
Abortion is not just one baby, but generation after generation.

You cannot stop woman from aborting but u can put restrictions and provide a safe place..
plus men have it so easy to get into womans affairs. jeez
Demi, sweet heart. Apart from violent rape, women already made their "choice". If their choice resulted in a pregnancy, then they should have to deliver the child full term and give it up for adoption.

Proverbs 6:16-19: These six things doth the LORD hate: yeah, seven are an abomination unto Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD, ...

I know this is not a "politically correct" view point, but neither are God's view points politically correct.

Thankfully God is merciful and slow to anger, but Galatians 6:6-7 tells us that He is not mocked. Even Christians are ignorant of understanding in this passage.

We don't want to walk presumptuously deceiving ourselves, but to walk circumspectly. (That means looking around for danger)

Romans chapter 6 is where I would direct you. Take care of yourself. The Laodicean Church are unaware of their condition, and God calls them to be zealous and repent.

May God direct your path in peace and love.

just imagine, a living person being dis-membered within a woman's womb and being extracted
and now used to keep others alive: oh the horrors of this evil world; is there any wonder why God grieves
along with those that Love Him and His???

As you can well imagine, this is purely DEMONIC, as are all attempts at genocide (and abortion has been recognized as such), mass murder, extermination of innocents, and all the other evil demonic deeds which are revolting. It is significant that both Marx and his henchmen as well as Hitler and his goons were involved in Occultism and genocide. But no one in the Western world has had the guts to say that abortion is first degree murder and requires the death penalty. Abortionists, legislators, and judges are all culpable, as are the women who kill babies.

I know what you mean. Their blood is crying out to God. I just hope that Christians are prepared to stand when the winds of doctrine begin to blow.

As a person who is forgiven much, I can see a little of what trials will befall us. Thankfully abortion isn't one of the sins I have been guilty of. Mine are still bad enough though. I praise God for His long-suffering and mercy.

There can be some truth to that. The LORD tells us to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. That means to always be examining our thoughts to see if they are lining up with God's word.

What we meditate on will take root in our heart, then will come out our mouth.

Peace!
