Speaking about homosexual marriage is not something we should endorse or proclaim or even discuss. To a believer, homosexual relationships are an abomination (Rom. 1:26-32) and should not even be mentioned among brothers. This is all I have to say about this subject.

Take care,
Okay but this is America and we're not a theocracy that means we pass laws on the Constitution and not religious text
I wanted to live in a theocracy, I would move to Saudi Arabia

I said among believers not among the public in general. If you are NOT a Christian (born again from God's Spirit), then what I said does not apply to you.

Christians response to gay marriage?
There's NO SUCH THING as a "Gay Marriage".

There ARE "Gay Weddings" (legal contract executions before witnesses) which legally impart the same rights, and tax advantages, and real property ownership issues, and dissolution clauses that any other "Wedding process" accomplishes.

But a marriage is ONLY POSSIBLE between a MAN, and a WOMAN. The parts don't fit together otherwise.

All they have to do is go to the courthouse just like anyone else.
Bring a witness and sign the contract and they are legally married according to state law
This allows them the same legal protection as everyone else so if one of them passes away someone else can't come in and take everything they built together especially if they have been in a relationship for years

Yup. LEGALLY they're "Married", which what the name on the contract says, as I stated above. And the legal Contractual advantages, and requirements of a "Legal Marriage" are all theirs.

Biblically, they're still nothing but two sinful homosexuals practicing their shame, since there's NO SUCH THING as a homosexual "Marriage", legal definitions not withstanding. It's just ONE of the SINS, our country will be judged for.

Sadly, I know people who have and continue to this day to say the same things about interracial marriage, that such marriages aren't "real" marriages. Prejudice against the people involved in a marriage doesn't invalidate their marriages.

This country has engaged in slavery, segregation, genocide, interment camps, forced migration, forced sterilizations, Native American boarding schools and so much more BUT it's going to be judged because of marriage equality?

Christians in America like to pretend to be persecuted. They think someone else getting right somehow take something away from them

I'm not an American, but the original question was "Christian response to gay marriage" What has that got to do with your country or constitution? As a Christian you may live in America, but you are now part of a greater eternal Kingdom and it is more important that your views as a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven should match that of your King, not the earthly country you live in.

My view is this, God plainly states what marriage is and what it is not. He didn't ask for man's opinion despite the fact they think they know better. They can call it a 'marriage' all they like. Legally in the eyes of man's law they can say they are married, but in the eyes of God they are not and never will be. satan seeks to destroy the Christian faith in the world and as he has done with many things, gay marriage is just a pale counterfeit of what a real marriage is and what it stands for.

Would I go to a gay wedding? No. But if I have to interact with gay people who claim to be married and the law agrees with them, then I shall treat them respect, love them and pray for them to come to know God and to see the truth. Condemnation will only harden their hearts toward God and it is not my job to judge them or condemn them because they do not ascribe to my beliefs, so they cannot be measured by that standard.

Because the only reason to not allow same-sex couples to get married is religious reasons and the amendment clause to the Constitution says all laws must serve a secular purpose

So a Christian's repsonse should be in line with the laws of the country they live in?

This is NOT a place to discuss homosexual rights, constitution or not. We are supposedly among Christians. Since you are Not, you are simply defending an abomination. Shame on you.

It's got nothing to do with "Predjudice". The Bible calls it an "Abomination", so that's what it is, regardless of perple's feelings.

I recall some southern relatives asking me if I could prove BIBLICALLY that a N****r had an immortal soul. THAT'S Prejudice with a capital "P". BiblicallY it's easy to demonstrate the problem with same sex "marriages".

Well yeah but at the risk of being redundant, we are a constitutional republic, not a theocracy so that means Christianity doesn't get special privileges
If you're going to use that same argument that would mean Muslims or atheists can't get married either
Christianity doesn't have a monopoly on marriage

Why isn't this a place to discuss equal rights?
