The outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth

54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.

This is a strange part of the story because it is about Peter, not the Lord. Do not follow the Lord afar off, either be all in or all out.

55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.

Don't be something you are not. Peter is not a spy and yet he is hoping to be close enough to spy out what is going on. We call these Christians "secret agent Christians".

56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.

How terrifying, a maid! No doubt Peter saw himself as a leader among the apostles, he is the one with the keys to the kingdom, a great spiritual warrior and we discover without the Spirit filling him he is like a flat tire.

57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not. 58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not. 59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean. 60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew. 61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

We need an honest appraisal. The Lord told Peter he would deny Him and He did. You might think that Jesus was mean, or harsh, or insulting. That is a mistake. He is simply giving Peter an accurate and timely warning. We need to be very careful about how we receive a word from other brothers and sisters. Our first response may be to get offended, but we need to take it to the Lord. Is this word from the Lord? Is this the Lord warning us? Is it a true and fair assessment?

62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

He went out into the "outer darkness" where there is "weeping and gnashing of teeth".

They are judging themselves and that judgment will convict them

63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him. 64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee? 65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.

We have been told that things will grow worse and worse that is why we are compelled to contend for the faith. This chapter began with the Passover drawing near, we see Jesus shining a light on the kingdom of darkness. We see that even Peter cannot stand on his own and is cast into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Now we can understand this question "where wilt thou that we should prepare for the Lord's coming". In this chapter we are told to behold the hand of him that is betraying the Lord. There is so much to learn in this chapter. The goal is that when we get to this type of persecution we could stand because it will be a great and terrible day.

66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying, 67 Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe: 68 And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.

God is not going to violate our free will. He knows if they have decided to not believe, He knows if they will refuse to answer Him.

69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.

He has everything He needs to judge them. They think they are sitting in judgment but in reality what is happening is the testimony that will convict them when they appear before His judgment seat.

70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.

This is the charge against Jesus, hence they have said that He is.

71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.

Do you see? When the Lord said you won't believe and you won't answer and you won't let Him go He is saying "I have not further need of any witness". With what judgment you judge you shall be judged. They aren't judging Jesus, they are judging themselves and that judgment will convict them.

You have been warned because that is how it will work during Antichrist's reign.

Luke 23:1 And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.

Get ready, this is what it will be like in the seventieth week after the rapture to those who are left behind. This is "the hour of trial". According to Revelation 3, the Lord promised the church in Philadelphia to keep them from the hour of trial.

2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

I don't want to hear from Christians that "they haven't done anything wrong". So what, Jesus wasn't perverting the nation, Jesus wasn't forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, and Jesus was not going around proclaiming Himself to be king. He clearly stated that He was among people as a servant, not as a king. The truth is not going to matter when they come after those who are left behind.

3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.

Jesus is telling Pilate that he will be judged with the same judgement that he judges. Yes, Jesus confirmed to Peter and the disciples that He was the Messiah, and to be the anointed one means that He is anointed to be king. But He also told them not to tell anyone this. He wasn't going around saying it. The crime is not "being the Messiah" the crime is "saying He himself is Christ the King" and neither Jesus nor His disciples were saying that.

4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

Remember this, Pilate knew the accusations were lies. But when it came time to crucify Him that didn't matter, the only thing that mattered was who was screaming the loudest.

5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.

Can you imagine, being a Bible teacher is now a crime worthy of death.

6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean. 7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time. 8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

Think about this. Right now even among unbelievers they know there are some really amazing prophecies being fulfilled, a whole lot of strange things are happening that seem to be fulfilling what the Bible said so they will actually want to see many of these Christians who are teaching on this.

9 Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing. 10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. 11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

We have this dominion doctrine floating around Christianity that the way the Messiah returns is through taking power in the government. Jesus is clearly not interested in getting involved in the political machinations of the government. In an election you get a choice between two candidates, that is not the same as being involved in politics. Christians are also citizens and have rights and responsibilities as a result.

12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

Isn't it amazing that Trump and Elon Musk are now friends?

13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, 14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: 15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. 16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

They have lied, the judges have determined the accusations have no merit, and yet Jesus is still crucified. Why?

17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.) 18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: 19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

Think of Barabbas as the January 6th insurrectionists (yes I know there is a great debate over who was guilty of what, but at the very least, regardless of what side of that debate you are on, you can agree that the guy who left the pipe bomb can be likened to Barabbas). On the one hand this is just like the day of atonement where they have two goats, one is sacrificed and one is sent out into the wilderness. Both of these "goats", Jesus and Barabbas are "the son of the father". The Father gave us His son that whoever would believe on Him could receive atonement, become one with God and receive eternal life.

20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them. 21 But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. 22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go. 23 And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

Is this how the law court works, whoever shouts the loudest gets their way? You have been warned because that is how it will work during Antichrist's reign.

24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

We have to understand the Bible to understand the times we live in. According to the Lord it would be as the days of Noah where the locals would be mocking and scoffing at Noah right up to the day the rain comes. That means the collapse of the economy, the cataclysmic events causing the famine and war and plague, all that happens at the same time as the rapture. Based on that one verse you would think the only sign you would get would be Noah building the ark. But there are other signs. God said the earth was filled with violence. The Hebrew word translated violence is Hamas. Prior to 2023 we would never expect the world to side with terrorists who kill babies and kidnap people. But that is what we saw throughout the whole world. It was filled with people protesting in behalf of Hamas. So the only ones mocking Noah with stupid comments and trite cliches are those who are not listening to the Lord, the incarnated word, explain the times to them. The word is a light to our path, but not to the mockers and scoffers.

The Lord also said it would be as the days of Lot. Again, if you don't get a private visit from angels warning you that the city will be destroyed you might think there won't be any signs warning you of the judgment. But that isn't true, the angels tell Abraham that the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah has gone up to heaven. So prior to the destruction there will be a loud cry of injustice, corruption, even things like abusing children. Epstein Island and Diddy parties are examples, but so are the rules concerning kids identifying with whatever gender they please and people even trying to pass laws that kids can be castrated without the parents knowledge.

There are other signs. Think of 911, the Lord told us not to think that the people in those towers were bigger sinners than everyone else but rather, unless we repent we too will suffer the same fate. That was a warning, just as the fires in Lahaina and the Palisades were warnings that when the day of the Lord comes it will burn up everything made with wood, hay and stubble and that your faith will be exposed, whether you built with gold, silver and precious stones or wood, hay and stubble.

There are other signs, the Psalm 83 war we just witnessed with Israel being attacked on seven sides. That never happened previously in Israel's history and according to Psalm 83 it will never happen again because Gaza will become chaff in the wind.

The current push to divide Israel into a Jewish state and a Palestinian state was prophesied in Joel as one of the main reasons God calls all the nations to Armageddon. This covenant that the UN, UK, France, the US and others are pushing Israel to sign appears to be the covenant that the Antichrist will enforce that Daniel 9:27 prophesied about.

What is happening with AI is clearly what the Bible prophesied about a new and different empire from all the rest that it calls "the Beast". According to the Bible this empire is rising during the seventieth week commonly known as "the tribulation". Well we know that AI will likely reach AGI in 2026 and by 2031 it will reach ASI. At that time it will be fully risen.

So even though you can look at Noah and Lot and say "everything will be fine right up to the rapture" the flip side is if you are paying attention to the prophecies you will know exactly what time it is.

This Is The King Of The Jews.

Luke 23:25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

This is really an amazing revelation. In the Day of Atonement they release one goat who becomes an outcast and all the sins are placed on its head, and they sacrifice the other goat. At the crucifixion we had two Barabbas, two sons of the Father. One was released by the Jews and so all that rejected Jesus were one with that goat, they placed their hands on his head, and that sealed their judgment that they too would become outcasts in the world with all the sins to be put on their heads. The other goat was crucified, that was Jesus Christ who died for our sins. Most people would look at this and choose to be one with the goat who lives, but in reality the best choice is to be one with the Lord on the cross who is crucified. You confess that He is dying for your sins, that you are the one who should be on the cross, and as terrible as that choice is you know it is the right choice.

26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

This is a picture of the Christians during the church age. We are following the Lord and bearing His cross. This is righteous. If you think the Jews are the only ones guilty of sins then you are self righteous and will not be justified. No, you have to realize you have a choice, to be one with Jesus or to be one with the outcasts, but either way it is because all your sins are placed upon that goat.

27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. 28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. 29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.

Does this refer to 70 AD? Sure. Does this refer to the entire church age? This is ever so slightly different from preaching hell fire and brimstone. No, this is the preaching that the day will come when we all must stand before the Lord who will judge us for the things we have done in our body. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Being saved doesn't mean you get to skip the judgment. What it means is that the absolutely best part of that trial from your point of view will be the fact that you received the Lord's blood to wash away your sins.

30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

This is not a reference to 70 AD. You can claim it is, you can make some absurd argument that people hid out in caves which was probably true. But this is a reference to the opening of the sixth seal in Revelation. Could we have seen a foreshadow of this in 70 AD? Maybe, but the fulfillment will definitely be the opening of the sixth seal. The fact that much of this can easily refer to 70 AD or to the end of the age is simply why I say that the book of Acts and the book of Revelation are bookends to the church age.

31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

The Lord is telling us that at the time of His crucifixion the world was a green tree. Think of a forest that looks very healthy, but there is an infestation of bark beetles and over time the forest dries up until all the trees are dead. As evil as it was to "burn up" Jesus, what He is saying is at the end of the age when this fire starts it will burn up the entire forest. That may seem horrible, but that is how you get rid of the beetle infestation, and the ground is covered with seeds that can now sprout and grow into a new green forest. Also the burned up trees will add ash to the forest soil.

32 And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

This is very interesting, we have three convicted criminals being put to death, two are actually guilty, one is innocent. That is remarkably similar to percentage of innocent people in prison before we used fingerprints. After the discovery of fingerprints we began to use science to find all kinds of physical evidence that would help us solve crimes. We still had innocent people in prison and guilty people being found not guilty. But the percentages dropped dramatically. Today estimates range from 4-6% are innocent, a much better percentage than the 33% it once was. There are still things we can do and the biggest one will be a chip placed in each person that makes all financial transactions digital as well as providing a trace on where people are. But here is the rub, once we have that in place the ruler of this world will have total control to punish anyone they wish. They can sell this as a way to eliminate crime but the result will be that following Jesus will then become the crime punishable by death.

33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

We should look at the church age as one long journey to arrive at Calvary for the whole world. For 2,000 years we have been telling people this is where we are heading. They refer to this as preaching hell fire and brimstone, or apocalyptic. Say what you want, the truth is the truth.

34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Just because you don't know what you are doing does not mean you won't do it. Pray that the Lord opens your eyes so that you might know what you are doing.

35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

Is that what the Bible says? This is like the way they determined who was a witch, you dunk her in the water, if she floats she is a witch, if she drowns she wasn't. So the Jewish leaders are justifying what they are doing saying they are simply testing to see if he is truly the Messiah, if He is He will save Himself. This is not wholly wrong. Instead, how about "if He is He'll conquer death and rise from the grave". That is fine, but don't forget, as you have done it will be done to you. Yes, you have tested Jesus by putting him to death, well then, you also will be tested by putting you to death.

36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, 37 And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.

What a twisted view of what a king is. How about "If thou be the king of the Jews, save us"

38 And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, This Is The King Of The Jews.

The book of Job and the Lord's crucifixion

39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

This is the book of Job. When you go through trials and tribulations you can either blame God for not saving you out of it, or you can confess that this is righteous judgment.

43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Paradise is the pleasant part of Hades, it does not refer to heaven. After Jesus rose from the dead He said He had not yet ascended to heaven.

44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

During the crucifixion there is three hours of darkness right before Jesus cries "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me" which is the cry of those left behind. This is a mirror image of the end of the age with the rapture taking place at the time of three days of darkness and those not being raptured cast out into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

The veil is rent, that means the way to the Holy of Holies has been opened. That is a reference to the rapture.

46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

This is the experience that everyone who has been crucified with Christ has had.

47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man. 48 And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.

The reason we have so many people screaming to crucify the Lord and mocking and scoffing is so that the price for those who follow the Lord is very high. This is how the Lord can see your heart, who truly loves Him and who doesn't.

49 And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things. 50 And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just: 51 (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them; he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God. 52 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

Everyone claims to be a "good man". Even drug lords and Mafia kingpins think they are better than the guys they killed. But here is where we see the truth, where the "rubber meets the road".

53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

I suspect such a sepulchre was very expensive, sacrificial offerings are something that reveal a lot. Think of the woman who poured out the albaster box of perfume on the Lord. That was very costly, I suspect this sepulchre was equally costly.

54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. 55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. 56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

The timing of all this is very confusing. It sure seems like Jesus was in the tomb for the last few hours of one day, in the tomb for the complete sabbath day, and then rose very early on the third day.

Promises to those that love the Lord and abide in Him

Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Make your dwelling in the secret place of the most high. As long as you are abiding there you are protected by the shadow of the almighty. Satan can't touch you, his minions can't touch you, sickness, death and malevolence can't touch you. To abide is not to visit. We abide in our home, that is where we sleep. We can go to work, we can go to the store, but our home is where we abide. So don't make it so that once a week you go to church and that is when you visit with the most High. On the contrary abide with the most High and then when you go to work bring Him with you.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Who is your refuge? Who is your fortress? In whom do you trust? If it is doctors, or the pharmacy, or the US military, or your man cave then you will discover they can't help you in the day of trouble. Make God your fortress, make Him your refuge, make Him the one in whom you trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

What a great promise. This is what follows when Jesus is the one in whom you trust and the one in whom you abide. Think of the occult as filled with these "fowlers" trying to snare people. They are out there every day trying to make a "living" by catching people in their snares. Make God your fortress and you will be delivered from them. Then there is an even finer filter, that of the noisome pestilence. Think of Covid-19, a microscopic plague spreading across the entire globe like someone sprinkled the whole globe with this dust. If your refuge is Jesus then you will not be dusted with this poison.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Every Christian claims they have made Jesus their refuge and fortress, the one in whom they trust. OK, if that is true then the truth shall be they shield and buckler. A shield is a big protection, often against arrows flying that you might not see or be aware of. A buckler is a much smaller shield that protects against blows from a sword during close hand to hand combat. Imagine you are preaching the gospel and someone is trying to attack you, accuse you, slander you, mock you, ridicule you. That is what you would use a buckler to defend. On the other hand suppose someone has dusted your town with Covid-19 without your knowledge, that is what the shield would protect you from.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

You say your trust is in Jesus, He is your refuge and fortress. OK, then the proof is that you are not afraid of the terror by night. I saw people driving around with a mask on in their car. They were clearly afraid of the terror by night. Nor for the arrow that flies by day. I saw people who definitely did not want to take the vaccine, they did not trust the mandate, and yet they were afraid to lose their job. That was the arrow that flieth by day.

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Again, same thing, you can't see pestilence, it walks in darkness. You can see them threatening to fire you if you don't submit to some illegal requirement, that is the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Was this your experience? If so it proves that you truly do trust in Jesus as your refuge and fortress and that you are abiding in Him.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

It is like watching a horror movie. You see it, but it can't touch you.

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

How about that for one really great promise. So then, has any plague come nigh thy dwelling? If so you need to get on your knees and talk to the Lord about that, how was the door opened for that to happen? Do not blame the Lord, instead go to Him admitting that you must have done something to open this door and ask Him to speak to you so that this door can be shut.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Likewise, you should have this experience as well. Have the angels kept you in all your ways? If so, it is evidence that you have put your trust in Jesus, if not, it is something that you should take to the Lord in prayer asking for Him to shine His light on you.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

I have had this experience, it is a promise to us, to all of us.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

You should also have had this experience. How else can you say that Jesus is your shield and buckler? If you are in spiritual warfare you will deal with lions, adders and dragons.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Set your love on the Lord. There is a promise that if you have set your love on the Lord He will deliver you.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

The promise is not that you won't be in trouble. The promise is that when you are in trouble the Lord will be with you and will deliver you.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

On the one hand we have been told that tomorrow is not promised, but on the other hand this tells us that Long life is a promise to those who love the Lord and abide in Him.

Luke 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning

The resurrection of the Lord is on the first day of the week. Is this a prophetic reference to the seventieth week? If so this does not give us the day or the hour of rapture, rather you would say the first day of the week for the seventieth week is a year, and for the resurrection to be very early in the morning would indicate very early in the year.

This could be a bad interpretation, but if we are going to ask "when is "very early" in the year, we would do the following calculations.

1. Summer solstice would be noon, but in reality the hottest part of the year is usually a month later.

2. Winter solstice would be midnight, in reality the coldest part of the year is usually a month later.

This would make somewhere between March 21 and April 21 equivalent to 6am depending if you are measuring based on the heat of the day or the elevation of the sun.

Very early in the morning would be before noon. Most businesses open at 9am or 10am, so that is not "very early in the morning".

Regardless of how you measure it I think this would eliminate the 15th of Av. I think it is hard to look at a year this way and say anytime after June 21 is "very early in the morning".

There are people who are looking at the Feast of Weeks, but they make the case for this feast because they confuse it with Pentecost which is the 8th of Av, or sometime in August. In reality they are making a case for the Feast of New wine which is 50 days after Feast of Weeks.

Anytime you deal with calendar issues you have to struggle with all of these decisions which are very hard because you don't know if you are making bad assumptions. In my opinion we should look at May 14th as the first day of the first month for the modern state of Israel, it is their birthday. If we set May 14th to Nisan 1 then we are currently "very early in the morning of this year when Israel turned 77". I would also point out that the Passover and the Exodus from Egypt took place "very early in the morning" for Israel using this same perspective and that they also set their calendar to when they made the final decision to leave Egypt.

Likewise, when Israel entered the good land that would have been their birthday. They were circumcised and then after being circumcised they celebrated Passover very early in that year, the fourteenth day of the first month.

Something occurred to me, suppose we make May 14th, 1948 the first day of the first month for Modern Israel as it is the birthday of this nation. This could explain the Lord's word that "no one knows the day" since the calendar gets reset with this birth.

If Nisan 1 gets reset to May 14th, then the new Passover is May 28th and the new Resurrection day is May 31.

Many people are going to the feasts of the Lord looking for the one that depicts the rapture, but that is illogical. Everyone that Jesus was talking to knew those days, so why would He say "no one knows the day".

On the other hand we are told that those days are prophetic for things to come, but that would be prophetic regarding Israel.

Another way to look at it is that we have many, many shadows of the rapture, but none of those prophetic shadows tells us the day. Instead we are told that God had reserved that decision to Himself and so the rapture can take place at any day. It is described as a harvest festival because it is a harvest festival, but Jesus is not telling us that the day will be a harvest festival.

So then, there is this big push, primarily from God-a-minute for a Feast of Weeks rapture.

However, for this to have legs Aaron has to equate the Feast of Weeks with Pentecost. I have already gone into this, in depth, how the Bible is crystal clear that Feast of Weeks and Pentecost are two separate feasts fifty days apart.

Once you separate them Feast of Weeks loses all its juice as a shadow of a rapture. Pentecost is a very good option, particularly because it is a New Testament feast and because no one knew the day in the Old Testament (though it was mentioned in the dead sea scrolls).

We should not be surprised that we have several different calendars. We have the "beginning of the year" for schools which is different than the beginning of the year for companies and which is also different from beginning of the year for people which is different from the beginning of the year for the liturgy. If you are talking about the rapture which calendar should we be using? Also we know that the Gregorian calendar and Julian calendars are different from the Hebrew calendar. The church is operating on the Gregorian and Julian, not the Hebrew, so why would anyone expect the rapture of the church to be on the Hebrew calendar? I'm not saying it can't be, only that these are questions that have to be answered and as far as I can tell no one ever answers these questions.

Luke 24:7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

This word indicates a necessity of law. Because man sinned there is a legal requirement that must be met. The only way Jesus can redeem sinners is if He pays that legal requirement.

A Few days after the rapture

Luke 24:17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

This portion sounds like the communication shortly after the rapture.

18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

Imagine, after the rapture you would expect every single person on the planet to know about "these events".

19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: 20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

This was the start of the church age, at the end of the church age I'd make some adjustments about all the spirit filled saints who were mighty in deed and word before God and all the people. I would also point out that the religious leaders condemned them, mocked, ridiculed and tried to have them shadow banned.

21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

This is after the three days of darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Don't be slow of heart to believe

Luke 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

You have to go through suffering in order to enter into glory. The reason so many people have great respect for Mohammed Ali is because of the suffering he went through when he refused to be drafted into the Vietnam war. What sealed the deal for Tom Brady was when they replaced him with another quarterback and he went to Tampa and won a Superbowl. The reason they call the WW2 generation the greatest generation is because of WW2. Israel had to go through the Holocaust before the UN would vote to give them back the land of Israel. The greater the suffering the greater the glory.
