I was asked about the rapture from a Jewish woman so I wanted to give her an OT example. I used Samson pushing out the pillars, but I knew that was a poor example. A teaching should not be based on a shadow or type, it should be based on a doctrine. These verses here concerning taking the Levites as an offering to redeem the firstborn of Israel, that is a teaching concerning the rapture.

Moses is a type of Jesus, He must number the firstborn of the church and then He must take all those in the rapture to "redeem" them along with the silver from His crucifixion. Paul said we fill up that which is lacking in the sufferings of Christ. All of these ones who have taken up their cross and followed Him have helped to pay the price for Israel's salvation. Paul said that we are coworkers with God. We are working together for the salvation of the church and the saints.

Those saints who are raptured at the start of the tribulation will be the "levitical priesthood". They have many different jobs, some levites put up the tent and take it down, others take care of the temple, still others are involved in the worship.

Two different views of Shavuot

31:1 At the same time, saith the Lord, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

2 Thus saith the Lord, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.

9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

10 Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.

11 For the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.

19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the Lord.

Suppose you are Moses. You saw the vision at the burning of the Bush, you were sent to Egypt. It seemed like a thousand to 1 shot. Why would Pharaoh listen to you? Why would the Jews listen to you? Would you be thrown in jail? Executed? Even if they do listen to you how are you going to leave Egypt with everyone? But here he is, Moses has now returned to the mountain, with all these people, and after defeating Pharaoh and his army. From Moses point of view this is amazing, God is faithful, God does what He says He will do, and now He says He will give us the good land and plant us in there. We will be at rest, we will be adorned, we will go forth signing and rejoicing.

Now suppose you are most of the Israelites. You have lost everything that you had in Egypt. You can't return, but you also don't want to stay where you are. This is a desert and cannot support the nation. From your perspective it is a thousand to 1 chance. You are now in the same position Moses was in when he listened and obeyed God. So how can you do this? God is giving you the instructions, the torah. You need to listen to Him because He is a genius. He is a military genius.

I am reminded of Wayne Gretzky. He was five years old and wanted to play hockey so he tried out for the hockey team which allowed anyone up to ten years old play. He made the team, but from that time on he was always smaller, weaker, and slower than the other kids. So he needed to come up with a strategy. He weaved in an out of the others, he appreciated the other players more than any other "superstar" would. As a result his assists were always way off the charts. He studied Bobby Clark as another smaller player who came up with a strategy on how to play. When he got to the NHL he weighed less than 150 pounds, that is not a big guy. By all outward appearances the guy shouldn't have been able to play in the NHL but he owns all the records in the record book and his totals are about 33% higher than the number two guy in the record books.

God is giving us His promises, put your trust in Him. If He can turn a Wayne Gretzky into "the great one" or Tom Brady into the greatest quarterback ever, He can plant you into the good land to live there in rest and rejoicing.

2 Kings 9:1 Elisha the prophet called one of the men from the group of prophets[a] and said to him, “Get ready and take this small bottle of oil in your hand. Go to Ramoth Gilead. 2 When you arrive, find Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi. Then go in and make him get up from among his brothers. Take him to an inner room. 3 Take the small bottle of oil and pour the oil on Jehu’s head. Say, ‘This is what the Lord says: I have anointed you to be the new king over Israel.’ Then open the door and run away. Don’t wait!”

Elijah represents those that are raptured prior to the tribulation and Elisha represents the word of God during the tribulation. The word of God and the gospel will be twice as powerful during the tribulation just as the ministry of Peter and Paul was so powerful during the book of Acts.

I bring this up because I see that Jehu was a prefigure of Donald Trump.

4 So this young man, the prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead. 5 When the young man arrived, he saw the captains of the army sitting. He said, “Captain, I have a message for you.”

Jehu asked, “Which one of us is the message for?”

The young man said, “For you, sir.”

6 Jehu got up and went into the house. Then the young prophet poured the oil on Jehu’s head and said to him, “The Lord, the God of Israel, says, ‘I am anointing you to be the new king over the Lord’s people, Israel. 7 You must destroy the family of Ahab your king. In this way I will punish Jezebel for the deaths of my servants, the prophets, and the deaths of all the Lord’s servants who were murdered. 8 So all Ahab’s family will die. I will not let any male child in Ahab’s family live. It doesn’t matter if that male child is a slave or a free person in Israel. 9 I will make Ahab’s family like the family of Jeroboam son of Nebat and like the family of Baasha son of Ahijah. 10 The dogs will eat Jezebel in the area of Jezreel, and she will not be buried.’”

Then the young prophet opened the door and ran away.

The baby keeps growing every day

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

So the picture is of a woman who is 9 months pregnant. For months she has struggled as the baby has grown bigger and bigger, kicking and moving about. She has trouble sleeping, she has problems with her bladder, she has trouble with her clothes. My point is we take this "they say peace and security and then sudden destruction" as though they are clueless that they are 9 months pregnant and about to have a baby. That is not what Paul is saying. He is saying this event has been growing day by day, you see the signs, you know the day is approaching and still everything seems fine, you are in bed trying to sleep when wham, here comes the baby!

This is what we are seeing today. We can see all the signs, all the drumbeats of war, the drumbeats of imminent famine, economic collapse and additional pandemics. But at the same time even though things are a little uncomfortable with inflation and it is hard to sleep with all the MSM and their race baiting and fear mongering, still we are going about our business as usual at the moment. But in a moment that will change.

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Love this. We have Christians who are not watching, and we have all kinds of people who are not acting sober. Many of the people seem to have lost their mind.

7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

The people who are asleep or who are drunk are in darkness. If you are walking in the light there should be a very clear distinction between them and you.

God gives Israel the Old Covenant at Mt. Sinai after they passed through the Red Sea. We know from Paul that passing through the Red Sea was a figure of our baptism, of passing through death and resurrection. We also know from Paul that these figures were weak and beggarly elements until we could experience the reality of Christ's crucifixion and the Spirit being poured out on us.

But this explains something to us. According to Paul if you are married to a person you are bound by that covenant until they die, and with their death you are freed from that contract. In the same way we were told that in the day man took from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil we would die. It would only be through death that we are freed from the agreement made with sin. Man was given dominion over all things on this earth, but taking that tree made it so that Satan was calling the shots. Imagine if countries right now are using AI to game plan their foreign policy and hence that is what is leading us to war. If we said that the whole world lies in AI that would be a picture of the whole world lying in the evil one. This was what happened as a result of man's fall.

However, if we die to ourselves, die to the flesh, to the world, to sin, so that we can live to Jesus Christ, then at that point we rise up in the resurrection power, we are free from that contract made with sin, Satan no longer has any rule over us, Jesus' blood pays any price for our sins, and so we can walk in newness of life which includes dominion over all things (including sickness) in the name of Jesus Christ. Again, baptism is a figure, not the putting away of the flesh. Rather it is a figure of Jesus putting away the flesh. We must be "in Him". Now instead of AI calling the shots the Incarnate Word of God is calling the shots.

God's mercy is not a pretense

On the one hand I believe that God is love and full of mercy. But that means there must be an eternal Hell. If God's mercy saves us from eternal Hell then that hell must be very horrible, otherwise the claim of God being merciful is a pretense.

By definition mercy is forgiving someone that it is within your power to punish. If there is no hell then it is not within God's power to forgive someone so they don't have to go to hell.

So then, if the gospel emphasizes God's great love, mercy and forgiveness by definition it means that there must be a hell.

There are many NDE of people who have been to hell and describe it. As for me, I do not need to put my fingers or toes into hell to believe in it. Jesus said there is a hell, that is good enough for me. I'll take the Lord's blood and thank Him for His forgiveness, love and mercy.

Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for

When I was 13 the Lord told me I'd see Him when He returned and I wanted to know if this was real or just me imagining I had heard this. I told the Lord this word seemed to contradict the Bible and hearing voices is considered being a crazy person. So I needed to know if this was really Him or not.

Shortly after that prayer I was in a car with three other kids and the father of two of them. While driving he had a seizure in his legs and so we were driving at 80 mph on a two lane road with speed limit of 35. He was weaving in and out of traffic. We missed a head on collision by inches and we missed being T-boned by an 18 wheeler when we blew thru a red light by inches. When we finally came to a stop, I was in the front seat trying to pull his leg off the gas and then stepped on the brake, I could see the faces of the three kids in the back. They all thought they were gonna die. That caught me by surprise because that thought had not crossed my mind. But as I thought about it I realized how weird that was that it hadn't. Soon I concluded that any normal person would have considered that, so as I thought on it the only explanation I could come up with was that the Lord had told me I'd see His return first. That to me was the substance of what I was hoping for and it proved to me that the faith was real.

Do not be naive, Jesse trained David to fight Goliath

There is this thought in Christianity that David simply wandered into the camp of the army to deliver bread when he heard about Goliath and said he would fight him. So let's make sure we review the facts first.

The battlefield was about five miles from where David lived. Three of David's brothers were fighting in the army. Those two things alone make it very difficult for me to believe that David was not well aware of what was going on and that Goliath had been challenging the army of Israel for forty days. But there is more, David had already been anointed king by Samuel. That had to mean a whole lot to both David and Jesse, his father. Also, David had been working in King Saul's palace playing music for him. So David is intimately involved in the affairs of the king. He goes home because of the war and he is seen as just a kid. These four facts alone, in my mind, eliminate any possibility that David just happened to walk in there. But what really proves this is when King Saul asks "whose son is this?" He knows who David is, he even knows who David's father is since he has dealt with him to hire David. What Saul is asking is "who trained this youth to fight this giant?" David makes it clear that Jesse trained him. So that means that Jesse is one very good trainer. Imagine you trained Mike Tyson, and now the biggest heavyweight fight of the ages is taking place five miles from your house? Jesse knows what is going on, he has three sons in the army, he also knows that David is anointed king by Samuel, and he knows that David is no slouch having killed a lion and a bear.

Let's use some modern examples. Mike Tyson considered Gus D'Amato to be a father to him, and he was the one who trained him to be a champion. Wayne Gretzky learned how to play hockey from his dad who taught him from the time he was six years old to go to where the puck will be and not where it is. Joe Montana learned how to play quarterback from his dad who was an insurance salesman. Larry Bird learned how to play basketball from his dad who hated basketball. The lesson his dad gave him was to get up and go to work each morning regardless of how much pain you are in. My point is that Jesse trained David to fight Goliath and David tells Saul clearly that Jesse trained him. For forty days they trained over in Bethlehem and when Jesse felt he was ready it was Jesse that sent him to the army to "deliver bread".

But how do we know this for sure? First, Saul tries to give David his armor and he says he can't go out to battle in this because "he hasn't proved it". He says clearly he hasn't trained with this armor so he can't go to battle with it. That means he has trained with the sling shot. My guess is they have put together a target simulating the giant that he has trained on. We also can deduce this by seeing a brilliant strategy employed. I can believe that David was able to kill the giant with the slingshot, what I can't believe is that he would come up with this strategy. The account says that David and Goliath were in the middle of a field between the two armies. That means that David is halfway between the two armies going up against Goliath and his armor bearer. If after killing Goliath the Philistine army rushed him he would be caught and killed. So what does he do? When Goliath falls no one knows if he is hurt, knocked out or dead. So there is a brief shock where everyone is stunned and unsure what to do. David runs to Goliath, takes his sword and cuts off his head. That is a unique response that is not mentioned anywhere else in the Old Testament. You don't see any talk of decapitating your enemy. Instead you "run them through". That would be the easiest thing to do. Just take a sword or spear and "run him through". But fine, perhaps David in the heat of the moment cuts off the head. That is not proof that this is "premeditated" and part of Jesse's strategy. But then we learn that David holds onto the head throughout the entire battle. How would you do that? Goliath would have had a helmet on. The only way to get a really good hand hold of a decapitated head is to remove it a the very base next to the shoulder blades. That would give you enough neck to get a very good grip. No one is going to think about that in the spur of the moment. But here is why you do that. David looks like a little shepherd boy, nothing to worry about, not a soldier. But when he is covered in blood, holding up Goliath's head in one hand and Goliath's sword in the other he looks like a scary, horrifying monster. As a result in their confusion the Philistines turn and run and the Israelites pursue them. A teenage boy is thinking about killing the monster, Jesse is thinking about winning the war. Jesse understood the advantage of having Goliath underestimate David. He also understood that the head of Goliath would make a great shield to hold during the battle.

David killing Goliath is evidence of training, skill and strategy. You cannot say that David came up with that himself because he tells us that he was trained by Jesse.

What will it take to get Job to get down on his knees and pray to God?

Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. 11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. 12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. 13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: 14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: 15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: 19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

This sounds like the start of the tribulation for the left behind saints. This follows immediately after the book of Esther which describes what we are seeing today with an evil Haman working on sinister plot for one world government fighting against Mordecai and "Q". So we should compare what is going on with Mordecai and Queen Esther with what is going on with Job. Mordecai is outside the gate in sackcloth. He is a deplorable. Haman wants to kill him and has built a gallows to hang him on it. Queen Esther is working with him to save the country and the people from Haman. Meanwhile Job is over here, he is wealthy, feasting all the time, and clueless about what is going on. His prayer is vague, hey forgive my kids if they have done anything wrong. Today we have those who are keenly aware of the current situation, and how soon we are to an internal revolution in the US along with the beast system and complete control with the mark of the beast. We know they have thousands of guillotines to kill the Lord's people on. So it is just like Esther. Meanwhile what is organized Christianity doing? They have all the celebrations. They will have a church gathering to watch a football game, they will have a church gathering on Halloween and on Christmas and on Easter. They have barbecues and ball games and not one word about the current situation, or the prophecies or how to prepare the saints for what is coming. These are "blind offerings" and "lame offerings".

What we see here are four catastrophes, two are from invading armies and two are natural disasters. I think this is depicting all the Christians worldwide at the start of the tribulation. One way or another you will be impacted if you are a Christian and left behind. They take the oxen and asses, they slay the servants, the sheep are killed, the camels are taken, and the house with all your children has collapsed and killed them. This is what will happen at the start of the tribulation to the apostate church. Antichrist will target Christians. They have been gathering a list of all the members of the various churches. They are all on Facebook which makes it that much easier. The Lord said you would have evil servants in the house, you would have foolish virgins, and you would have lazy servants who buried their treasure. There will be many who will suffer loss. Some will be righteous, like Lot, but not like Noah. Mordecai and Esther are like Noah, they are preaching to repent and they are building a boat to save the people. Job is not doing that, he is praying "God if anyone has sinned please forgive them". What is this? It is a blind prayer and a lame prayer.

8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Consider this, after the rapture, who is left on the earth? There will be many, a great many Christians who have received Jesus Christ's blood. That would make them perfect, upright, ones that fear God and reject evil. But, does that mean they have a daily time in the word with the Lord? Does that mean they are "preachers of righteousness" or simply upright men? There is a time for rejoicing and a time for warfare. The book of Esther tells us it was time for warfare but these guys are over here clueless and feasting.

20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Look at this, Job's goal is to "not sin". You just got smacked in the face by Satan and your concern is to not sin? What about "be a man"? I'm happy that he didn't charge God foolishly, but how about go to God and ask why this happened? How about, "hey God, you are Lord, Satan could never do anything without your permission, so why did you give Him permission to do this?" What will it take to get Job to get down on his knees and pray to God?

Now I am not attacking Job, like God says, he is the best that is left on the earth after the rapture. There will be a whole lot of nominal Christians that are killed and a whole lot of "church buildings" that are destroyed and burned. If you divide the Earth into four sectors with North America being one of the sectors, they will probably be the one where fire from heaven falls and burns up the sheep and kills the servants. That is similar to what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah which is the judgment for the apostate church, for the Great Babylon.

But I think it is very telling "in all this Job sinned not". Is that how you respond to an attack? This certainly sounds like those who have been drenched and pickled in Christianity. Whatever happened to "the violent take the kingdom by force"? If this were your dad how would you feel? Yay, Dad didn't sin! Or, come on Dad fight back!
