4:13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

5:1 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

I want to focus on the times and seasons. I provided the verses immediately before this so we could all realize we are talking about the rapture and the end of the age. He tells us here that he doesn’t have to write about that because we know very well! He is telling us here exactly what we will see at the end of the age that will signal the Lord’s coming.

1. It comes like a thief in the night -- a thief will case the joint first, so you could say the apostasy is a good clue that we have thieves (the wolves that Paul said would come) figuring out how to rob the church. This indicates it is the dark night, and it is when people sleep. How many times are we warned about watching and not sleeping. Some thieves will even attempt to drug the watchmen. I read this story about how the FBI planted bugs in the Mafia’s home and they had to drug the two guard dogs prior to the break-in. But Paul says that we are not of them that sleep. The believers who are asleep are those who love the world and are in the world and have allowed the world to drug them.
2. It comes while people are saying peace and security. This is filled with meaning. If you are saying something that is obviously not true then you are being superficial and easily deceived. The words are empty without any meaning. If you gave a man a Nobel peace prize just because he was running for president that would be empty and meaningless. But this is such a notable verse in the Bible that this event must be big. For example, I would have thought that a peace treaty between the UAE and Israel would be worthy of a Nobel peace prize. Nope, no mention at all. However, Obama gets one for campaigning for president. That to me is a fulfillment of this word. Also, I can see multiple fulfillments of this verse. For example the Nobel Peace prize comes with a wreath they put on your head like the victors in the Olympics, the same thing the rider on the white horse of the apocalypse is given.
3. Destruction comes on them suddenly -- many believe that the Biden administration is a puppet administration being run by a puppet master. That would make whoever is running the Whitehouse from the basement “a master of intrigue”. Many of us assume that Kamala Harris will take over as Biden is clearly incompetent, however, this would put her at odds with the puppet master. We are told that Antichrist will destroy Jezebel, so I find that interesting. Consider what happened to Cuomo, his resignation was sudden, I think we will see the same thing here. Palace intrigue, sudden destruction, the vipers eating their own.
4. As labor pains on a pregnant woman. When a woman is pregnant these pains will come in waves and become more and more frequent. However, once the baby begins to come out there is no let up, it is a constant and irrepressible force as that baby will not be denied. This is what we are seeing with the election audits. It has been 30 months since the November election. This baby is coming out and nothing is going to stop it.
5. And they will not escape. So when a baby is born the sack that the baby was living in will go into the garbage and then into the fire. There is a separation between the “medical waste” and the baby. If you were part of the medical waste and were destined for the fire you might feel that you have the right to abort the baby rather than for you to be burned. Seeing as it is your body that would be a logical choice for you. We know the baby will be caught up to God, but the placenta, that will not escape the fire. So this also gives us a picture of the end of the age, this thief in the night “will not escape”. Antichrist and all his minions will be involved in a palace intrigue to seize control of the world’s government only to be cast into the fire like medical waste.

Luke 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

This indicates that just as the people were clueless about the impending catastrophe at the time of Noah they will be clueless at the end of the age. During a famine no one would be eating and drinking at a feast or banquet. So this indicates this coming catastrophe is going to be a great famine. During this famine you will be reminded of all the food you wasted. We are also told in the Bible that the famine will be of the word of God. People will become desperate for the word of God but it won't be anywhere. Right now you can go online and get multiple messages, Bible studies, commentaries, the world is filled with the word of God and instead of seeking out the word to fill your spirit they are getting drunk on the world's wine and are totally befuddled.

Likewise with marriage and giving in marriage. During a great depression and famine and pandemic no one is getting married or having children. Again this indicates they are clueless, but it also indicates they are off pursuing getting married, having a family, and all the various things of this world rather than looking for the coming of the Lord. If they were aware of the impending wedding feast it is unlikely they would be going through all this other stuff. The flood that takes them away will be taking them away from the marriage feast of the lamb.

So yes, they are clueless, but why are they clueless? They do not spend time in the word of God, they take the word of God for granted and they are not seeking to be one with Jesus Christ our bridegroom, rather they are out seeking to build up their family, their career, and all the other trappings of this life.

What is the rapture?

I was eating dinner with a Jewish lady and she said she had never heard of the rapture and wondered what that was. I was trying to think of some OT reference to explain and the only thing that came to mind was Samson pushing out the pillars, and that in the NT the church is the pillar and base of the truth. When the church is removed it causes the evil satanic system to collapse.

But later the Lord reminded me of the first fruits. In the various feasts (feast of unleavened bread, feast of Shavuot, etc) you have to offer the first fruits to God in a wave offering. That is the rapture in a figure in the law.

Now think of how these two go together. That offering, given to the Lord in worship, will cause Satan's evil temple to collapse. Think about these guys who spend thousands of dollars a year to go to football games with their season tickets, all the paraphernalia they buy, money they gamble, and the parties they throw. That is all "worship" to their god. If they were to offer up the first fruits of their labor to the Lord God it would cause that other worship to collapse. Think about these guys who have memberships to golf courses and spend the lord's day on the golf course. If they were to give that day to the Lord that worship would collapse. The same thing with guys with boats, or people seeing all these Hollywood movies, etc.

The reason the temple to Baal is as big and powerful as it is is because they don't give the first fruit of their labor to the Lord. But some people do, and these people are like pillars holding up society. The Lord takes them and society collapses.

So then when looking for when the rapture takes place ask two questions:

1. When are we to offer the first fruits as the wave offering to the Lord?

We have several holy convocations where we are to offer up the first fruits as a wave offering.

2. When does the judgement fall on the evil satanic system?

(You had 3,000 killed that were worshipping Moloch at Mt. Sinai and you had Samson pushing out the pillars).

Why don't people repent?

2kings13:1 In the three and twentieth year of Joash the son of Ahaziah king of Judah Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned seventeen years.

2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.

3 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, all their days.

4 And Jehoahaz besought the Lord, and the Lord hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.

5 (And the Lord gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime.

6 Nevertheless they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who made Israel sin, but walked therein: and there remained the grove also in Samaria.)

We know that denominations are sinful, divisive, rebellious and we know that Christmas and Easter are pagan holidays filled with pagan rituals. Why, if you know these things don't the Christians and their pastors depart from them?

A different view of the ten commandments

Exodus 20:2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

According to the Orthodox Jews this is the first "commandment" and they didn't call them commandments, they called them "words". This is like saying "I am your husband, I delivered you, don't forget it".

The other thing the Orthodox Jews say is that this word looked in on the sixth word

13 Thou shalt not kill.

What does the apostasy do? What about the Atheists with "God is dead"? This word should not be translated as "kill". Murder is a better translation. There is a distinction made between killing that is unethical with killing that isn't. This does not refer to self defense, or an army defending their homeland. But it does refer to a drone strike on a wedding party. It does not refer to killing beef to eat but does refer to the wanton killing of Buffalo to starve the native Americans. In other words there is a requisite change in behavior for someone that has truly taken Jesus as Lord.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

According to the Orthodox Jews this is all combined into one commandment ("word") whereas in traditional Christianity this is the first and second commandment. And it faces the seventh commandment ("word")

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

This really helps to understand. Imagine your wife putting up pictures of her former boyfriends. Imagine a former boyfriend calls and she drops everything to go help him out. Imagine your wife used to date her boss and after marrying you she still continues to work for him. Imagine a Christian making their job, or their house, or their hobby or some other pleasure something that is before the Lord Jesus. Imagine a Christian telling the pastor he needs to finish by 12:30 because there is a big game that day, or he has a tee time, or some other point.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

The Lord's name is powerful. The idea that this is a trivial issue is foolish. Because people do this it is easy to miss how powerful the Lord's name is. When we pray, when we use the Lord's name it is powerful and we should appreciate it.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

According to the Orthodox Jews the word "steal" is better translated as "kidnap". Is this really that big an issue? I would think that "stealing" is something far more common than kidnapping. However, we have recently learned there is a widespread problem in the US where 460,000 children are reported missing every year according to FBI statistics. Apparently, Epstein Island had an entire set up with submarines delivering children to the island. They have also alleged that Disney world is linked to this child kidnapping. Children's TV shows are profane and often run by groomers. The public school is being overrun with groomers. They want to pass laws where young children can choose to go through sex change procedures for free without the parents knowing. The drug trade is a way to "steal children". Gangs also "steal children" and this is facilitated by a lack in after school programs by public school. Why would school end at 3pm if all the parents don't finish work till 5pm and don't get home till 6 pm?

Why do these two go together? Obviously the people who do this have no respect for the parents of these children and ultimately God is our father. This is the lesson we need to learn. When you pray, know that if you pray concerning this kind of abuse that you are hitting on a central issue to God, the Father's heart.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

I have come to appreciate more and more how important the sabbath day is. People talk about how important is community and family and your personal relationships and your life outside of your job. But if you don't keep the sabbath day holy then all that breaks down.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

This is one example of how society breaks down. If you know your neighbor and you are knit together with your neighbor they aren't going to be a false witness. This is what happens when there is no value to the human relationship.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Finally, let's look at these two:

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

Most importantly, don't covet your neighbors father or mother. You need to pray that the Lord would open your eyes that your father and your mother were a blessing to you from God and that you received them because God loves you and cares for you. No doubt they were not perfect and in some cases they may have been abusive, sinful, and even evil. But pray that the Lord would open your eyes, why did you need that, why were those experiences something that will lead to your salvation?

Three Best Verses on the Rapture 05/29/2023

This brother's teaching is different from others, however he has spent many years studying this and no one should be so arrogant as to think they have all the answers. So even if we do not agree we should still be open to considering what he says.

1. We all agree that the believers are not appointed to wrath. However, he teaches that the wrath of God is one day, not the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation. I was taught that the seven years are considered the tribulation and the last 3 1/2 years are considered "the Great Tribulation" which is when the wrath of God is poured out.

Revelation 6:17 "For the great day of the his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

This word for "day" can be understood as a 24 hour period, it can also be understood as the period of time from sunrise to sunset. However, the first time it is used in the New testament this same word is used for "in the days of Herod the king". So to understand this as having to refer to a 24 hour period a very big stretch for me. That said he is not misinterpreting this word because it certainly can refer to a 24 hour period.

His three best verses on the rapture are from Job 14:12-14 where Job talks about laying in the grave until his change comes.

Although these are very good verses concerning the dead in Christ being changed in an instant these are not the key verses concerning the rapture.

For example Isaiah 26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Would be better than the verses in Job.

I think we need to understand that the fundamental point for the 7 years is that God is getting his harvest while also cleaning up and dealing with Satan, the fallen angels and sin. People need to stop thinking it is "simple". The process as far as I can tell is much more complicated. There are a variety of harvests (Barley, Wheat, Fruit). There are first fruits, general harvest and gleanings.

Ask a farmer "what day is the harvest" and he will look at you strange, the harvest is a season, not a day. Some crops ripen before others, some fields ripen before others. Some crops ripen at the start of summer, others during summer and others at the end of summer and beginning of fall.

When you have a teaching or doctrine or interpretation that is wildly divergent from the standard doctrine, and Stan's teaching is, then you don't say "well I have studied the bible for forty years so you have to listen to me". That does not work. What you have to do is address the key verses, address Revelation 3:3, address Revelation 3:10, address Isaiah 26, etc. I have listened to him repeatedly and he has never once addressed the key verses indicating a rapture.

Why doesn't Stan respond to all these verses?

The Hour of Trial

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

It occurred to me that keeping them out of the "hour of trial" could refer to Babylon being judged in an hour. That is the only judgement that is said to take place in an hour. If so this would be a strong link to say the pretribulation rapture takes place prior to the judgement on the great Babylon.

I think both this brother and Stan have powerful scriptural basis for their positions. Will there be a pre tribulation rapture? Yes. Will most Christians go through the tribulation? Yes.

I have spent some time with my family at a wedding. It was a beautiful service, but it was also exceedingly idolatrous. Many of the family members are professing Christians, yet they are not concerned with the idolatrous aspects of the service. Also, like the children of Israel they sat down to eat and drink and then they rose up to play. The music that was played at the reception was completely and unabashedly fleshly. To be fair, not everyone at this reception was a Christian and the non Christians were apparently in charge of the music and dancing.

When you get together with everyone the topic is about what TV shows they watch and what movies are good. There was prayer, there was some mention of the Lord, but no awareness at all of the Lord's imminent return.

If you loved the Lord's return you would have certainly realized it was imminent based on all the things that have been happening.

At the reception I was sitting next to one brother who was a deacon at a church that teaches "liberation theology" the same doctrine taught at Obama's church. They asked me about this blog and it went over like a lead balloon, there was no interest at all.

This was a wonderful family time, everyone caring for one another, several large gatherings, but Jesus was not the center, He wasn't the focus. I do believe that anyone who loves the Lord's appearing would certainly have been interested and excited about all the things going on.

an opportunity for you to shine

The time of warning has ended -- this reminds me of when I taught HS. We would teach for the entire year, but at the end of the year we had 'Regent's week" which was a week of exams. No one had all of them, generally you would have 1 or 2 or even 3 exams. But the last day of classes -- the warnings were over and now the exams begin. I feel like this is what this prophecy is saying.

Also, exams and not a terror to those who have studied. Just like this dream showed, she continued down the road and when the warnings were over it led her to heaven. I used to tell the students the exams are an opportunity for you to shine.

Romans 13:1-6 and the Vaccine

1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

A lot of believers says that if the government mandates that you get the vaccine then according to Romans 13 you need to get the vaccine. On the other hand during the tribulation we know that the AntiChrist will mandate the Mark of the Beast and yet the Bible commands that you not get the mark of the beast. So let’s try to figure this out with the vaccine since that is much more immediate and also much less clear cut. What is the governing authority in the US concerning this vaccine that was established by God? Of course, it is our constitution. We also must abide by the Nuremberg laws which prohibit any country to mandate an experimental vaccine. So it is clear cut for the moment that when Romans 13 says let everyone be subject to the governing authorities concerning mandating the vaccine that it is talking to the Biden administration and anyone else who wants to mandate it. God has established laws that forbid it. Instead what we see are businesses, hospitals, and other non governmental organizations “mandating the vaccine”. You should understand that they are not being subject to the governing authorities. They will claim that the letter of the law does not prohibit them from doing this, that may be true, but the spirit of the law does.

However, if the vaccine is approved by the FDA that changes the equation. This is really problematic because as a rule it is supposed to take 12 years or so to determine that a vaccine is safe without long term side effects. It is also problematic because they are not being transparent with the data on side effects and deaths as a result of this vaccine. The evidence we are seeing would say that this vaccine should never be approved. Not only so but the basic rule, again established by God, is to “do no harm”. The death rate from Covid is extremely low, there are three effective treatments if you do get sick, and the rate of mutation is very high so new variants will make any vaccine ineffective. These guiding principles and guidelines for vaccines should also be seen as the governing authority established by God.

Still it would be extremely problematic if a legitimate government authority mandated the vaccine according to the laws that were established by God. That is why the investigation into election fraud is so significant. If it turns out that the Biden administration is in power through fraud then they are not the governing authorities established by God. They were not elected according to the US constitution but rather through deceit. So then, since the 2020 election predates any mandate we need to resolve the election first so we can know who is the governing authority authorized by God.

2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

It is very easy to say that this refers to the January 6th riot at the Capital and it certainly does. But notice the word “whoever”. We have learned a whole lot more about the whoever. FBI, Police, Antifa, and Anarchist groups comprise about 90% or more of those involved in the riot. The mass media spread lies about MAGA killing a cop. So they also were involved in this. There is no doubt that someone is rebelling against the authority and we need to determine who it is. Ultimately they are rebelling against what God has instituted. This is important. As believers we can stand strong for what God has instituted which includes our constitution and our government.

3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended.

Once again you could think this refers to the Biden administration, because they are the ones in authority. However, Jesus is Lord. Everyone, including the Biden administration is beneath the Lord’s authority. If Pelosi, or Biden, or Harris has done wrong, then the Lord Jesus holds terror to them.

4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

The sword here is the US military. There are very clear protocols for dealing with treason. They have taken an oath to defend and protect the union from all adversaries foreign and domestic. The Lord is giving a very firm warning. We don’t just slump our shoulders oh well, they gave the order for me to go to the concentration camp today, I need to obey. No, not if they are not legitimate, not if this is treason.

5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

Do you get that? Losing my job is punishment. Being imprisoned is punishment. But if my conscience tells me this is the way I need to go the conscience trumps any temporal punishment. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years for conscience sake. Martin Luther King Jr. was imprisoned for conscience sake. Mohammed Ali was not permitted to box for conscience sake.

6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

The government officials are God’s servants. There will be those who do walk by their conscience. They will speak the truth, they will stand up to treason, they will act to protect you. These are extraordinary times, but our constitution anticipated extraordinary times. Be at peace.

The word of the day

Ezekiel 2:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.
5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

That verse is directly in line with the Galilean wedding. The groom proposes and if the bride accepts he has two years to build a place for them to live at his father's house. It is up to the father to determine when it is done so no one knows when the day will be but the father. This aligns with the Lord's word that you would not see Him again until you say "Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord" -- the week before the wedding the groom will be asked to read from the Bible during the sabbath meeting and when he comes to speak the congregation says "Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord". This also aligns with the Lord's word that he would not drink of the vine again with us until we drink it anew in the kingdom. During the engagement if the bride accepts they drink wine on it and they don't drink again until the wedding.

However, a bride can still visit her betrothed while he builds the place, she can see that "the day is approaching". While he is working she can bring him a sandwich and some lemonade. She might just notice the carpet is being put in or some other sign that they are almost done.

Also, Jesus said it would be like the days of Noah and Noah was given a 7 day warning, entering the ark 7 days before the flood began. It was when Methuselah died, and that was a prophesy concerning the flood. So there were prophesies being fulfilled which indicated the flood was about to take place.

Jesus also said it would be like Sodom and Gomorrah and Lot was also given a warning a few hours before fire fell to flee the city.

The NT likens the Lord's return to three different things where "we don't know the day or the hour".

1. The birth of a child. Even though you don't know the day or the hour you can see the day approaching, there are signs, and you have "birth pains" which will be a warning. The NT tells us very specifically what to look for concerning the "birth pains". The fact that you don't know the day or hour is why you must pay careful attention to these signs and watch even closer.

2. The harvesting of a crop. The farmer does not know the day or the hour that would be best to harvest, that is why he must be watching the crop every day, watching the weather report, watching the sale price of grain, etc. Not knowing the day or hour is not an excuse to not watch, on the contrary it is why we must watch.

3. A thief coming in the night. Again, this is why we have night watchmen. The Lord's word means we must watch, not an excuse to not watch.
