"What does this have to do with the Rapture?"

Many of the signs and prophecies tell us what it will be like at the time of the rapture. Joel describes a worldwide pandemic causing a shutdown of the world's economy as God proclaiming a sabbath rest prior to the the day of the Lord.

So then some prophecies say that "lawlessness will increase" and others say that "they will call evil good and good evil".

Today we have convicted rapists claiming they "identify" as a woman and being sent to a prison for women. This is violating the law of not putting two kinds of seed in the same field. That was a law, so this is an example of lawlessness. If you raise an issue of a rapist being put into the same prison cell as another woman then you are the one called "hateful". That is an example of calling evil good and good evil.

What we are seeing today is what the Bible told us we would see at the end of the age. Therefore we do not need to look at it as though it were a strange thing, but rather as a flashing light telling us the Lord's appearance is imminent.

Today you here that there are many false prophets and "how do you tell the difference?" This is like asking which ministry is safe to eat and which one is unclean? Is this person's walk cloven by the cross of Christ? Do they meditate on the word of God? That would be a clean ministry. I have seen ministries that sound like self help books and "how to get rich quick" schemes. That would be an example of an unclean ministry. You might not know that a minister is living in sin, but do you really think a guy with a luxury car and a private plane and a mansion has his walk cloven by the cross of Christ?

Behold a man named Tucker

1Kings 13:1 And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

Jeroboam is setting up an altar that is different from the one God established so that the country would not be united. He wanted division, he wanted to tear the country apart and that was the goal of what he was doing. The product of true worship to God will result in order, peace, and holiness. The product of evil will result in disorder, war, hatred, cursing, and being fleshly. We are seeing evil forces at work today in our country with the goal of tearing it down and ripping it apart.

2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.

This sounds like the Day of the Lord and judgement on the evil doers. It is interesting that whatever movement you see, there is an altar. They must make sacrifices. Could be a politician asking for donations, a charity doing the same, etc.

3 And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the Lord hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.

The ashes poured out means we are going to reveal who was making the sacrifices for this. When FTX was caught, we discovered they were pouring money back into the Democratic party in a money laundering scheme from money sent to the war in Ukraine. Just recently we have discovered millions sent to the Biden crime family to buy influence from foreign countries. We have discovered that many of these District Attorneys trying to tear the country apart with their leftist policies were financed by George Soros.

4 And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.

This reminds me of what happened to Tucker Carlson. He gave a speech at the Heritage foundation calling for everyone to pray more for the country. He saw that all the hate, and division and illogical policies were about ripping the country apart and he said instead of simply moping about it we should pray a prayer for the country. Rupert Murdoch was horrified by this and demanded he be fired immediately. Now Tucker is continuing to be paid, I don't think he has been fired yet, simply taken off the air, and yet Fox's viewership is down by 65%. It is as though their hand, their influence has been dried up instantly.

5 The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the Lord.

What this event did was expose how phony Fox is. People have been saying this, Mike Lindell has said this, but now it was apparent for all to see.

6 And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the Lord thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the Lord, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

To me this is fascinating. Jeroboam is trying to split the country, he is trying to be divisive and turn people from true worship to God. But when he asks to be healed God does it. The purpose for all the things that the Lord does, the judgements that fall is to cause us to confess our sins, and repent. To repent means to turn from thinking we are all high and mighty and turning to God to save and deliver us. This request gave glory to God, he didn't try to say this was some kind of coincidence, he recognized it was God's judgement on him for what he just did. As a result God's healing him confirmed that was the case.

7 And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.

This would be like Fox trying to hire Tucker back.

8 And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: 9 For so was it charged me by the word of the Lord, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest. 10 So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.

How did Tucker get to Fox? He started at Heritage as a fact checker, got a job with a newspaper in Arkansas, and worked his way up the ladder. The Lord is saying do not take that same way, do not now go to ABC or CNN. Pick a way you haven't gone, perhaps a blog, or your own internet show.

11 Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father. 12 And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah. 13 And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon, 14 And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am. 15 Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread. 16 And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place: 17 For it was said to me by the word of the Lord, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest. 18 He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.

This is a different gospel. Paul in Galatians said cursed be anyone who preaches a different gospel and even if it comes from an angel of God. We need to know the word of God and then it doesn't matter if an angel of God tells us something different, we will not deviate from what God says.

19 So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water. 20 And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the Lord came unto the prophet that brought him back: 21 And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the Lord, and hast not kept the commandment which the Lord thy God commanded thee, 22 But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the Lord did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers. 23 And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back. 24 And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase. 25 And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt. 26 And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the Lord: therefore the Lord hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake unto him. 27 And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him. 28 And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass. 29 And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him. 30 And he laid his carcase in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother! 31 And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones: 32 For the saying which he cried by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.

Do you get it, this prophet wanted to test that the prophecy was true. Part of the word was if he eats bread or drinks there then he will die. So he got him to do that and sure enough he died, proving that the rest of the prophecy was also from God.

33 After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places. 34 And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, and to destroy it from off the face of the earth.

What a fascinating story. When Jeroboam appears before the judgement seat there will be no excuse. You were warned by God, you knew you were warned by God, you prayed, but you never turned from your evil way.

Mercy glories over judgement

James 2:13 for judgment [will be] without mercy to him that has shewn no mercy. Mercy glories over judgment.

Praying over this I was reminded of something that happened to me more than 40 years ago. I was in high school in England. I had done something wrong for which I was punished and only after punishing me did they learn I had done something else wrong as well. The headmaster told me if he had known about both things at the same time he would have expelled me but didn't think it was right to expel me over this newly discovered infraction (basically I had written something that was seen as insulting to one of the teachers).

A few months later we are taking our final exams and the teacher I had insulted gave the class a list of ten questions and told us that the final exam would be three essay questions from that list. I thought no problem, I'll look at these questions the night before the exam. When I did I was shocked, each question was so broad that each one covered an entire chapter in the textbook. I was one of the top three students in the class but some of these questions I had no idea about, in fact when I looked at them more closely I realized he had never even talked about these things. That made me angry, I realized it would take several hours to prepare for just one of these questions. Then I asked "which questions did he talk about"? I then figured out that there were only three questions and they basically covered the entire semester. I figured he has to ask at least one of these questions and maybe even two of them. So I changed my strategy and decided to completely focus on these three, ignore the other seven. I knew I'd get 0 on those so I had to get 100% of these to have a chance. Well on the exam he asked all three. I felt like I had guessed fast ball down and away, guessed right and got all of it and was watching it sail over the wall. In all my school experience never did I crush an exam like that, completely and totally aced it.

A few days later the scores were posted and I got the lowest grade in the class, I got a 25. If I had gotten a 95 and someone else had gotten a 100 I wouldn't have believed it. This I knew was completely bogus. However, this was a favorite teacher to many and if I complained to the headmaster this teacher would have been fired. I was visiting from the US for a year and the idea of coming, being an obnoxious kid and then getting this teacher fired was something I didn't want to do. But I thought "maybe I have no choice"? I had been accepted to university, got into my first choice, and they said that as long as my grades didn't drop below a certain level I was in. So I pulled out the pencil and paper and did the calculations to see if this grade would drop me below that point. It didn't. So in reality this test score was in the grand scheme of things meaningless to me. But what about others? If I do nothing he could keep doing this to others and that would be on me.

Finally I came up with a solution. I was in the Royal Air Force and this teacher was our commanding officer. We had to return our uniforms and mine was missing a button. So I decided I'd let him judge (as you have done it will be done unto you). If he made me pay in any way for that button then he would pay for the exam. I went up to him at lunch and he was so terrified he was shaking and wouldn't even look at me. I told him about the button and he waved his hand and said "forget about it". So, I forgot about the button and test.

Thirty years later my older brother is back at the school for a reunion and this teacher seeks him out to tell him how much he appreciated me. Imagine remembering a student for 30 years, particularly one that he obviously disliked at the time. Mercy is a powerful thing. The golden rule says that as you have done unto others it will be done unto you. We all want to be treated with mercy, so then the golden rule is really commanding us to treat others with mercy. The Lord's coming will include His judgement so the biggest lesson I would leave with everyone is this, Mercy glories over judgement.

From 1984 to 1988 there was 1 sighting of a meteor.

So far in 2023 there have been 297 sightings of meteors with at least 5 different witnesses each.

In 2022 we had 1,163 meteor sightings.

By comparison from 1989 to 2004 there was 1 meteor sighting event.

1 Jn 5 -- You have been warned

1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.

I love reading the apostle’s fellowship, it is so obvious why they are overcomers. John doesn’t say “this is how we know that others love”. He is giving you a way to discern if you love the children of God, not a way to impose self righteous judgement on others. It is so simple, keeping God’s commands is an exercise of love towards others. The world would have you believe that the Bible is misogynist and homophobic. The Bible condemns sins and justifies sinners. The world condemns sinners and justifies sin.

3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

Do you see how intricately tied keeping God’s laws are to overcoming the world? These laws lead us to Jesus Christ, they lead us to salvation. Satan is the ruler of the world and it is critical to Satan to lead us away from Jesus Christ, he does that with his laws. What do they argue? Keeping God’s laws are burdensome, they are out of date, they are homophobic, etc.

6 This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

What hypocrites! If you claim the law of God is burdensome then you are claiming that Jesus Christ is burdensome. He is the incarnate word of God, He is the fulfillment of the law of God, He is the expression of the invisible God.

9 We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

The age of Grace is a trial. Satan the ruler of this world is on trial, God has testified against Him by raising Jesus from the dead. God’s testimony is that He has given us this great gift of eternal life and this gift is given to us by giving us Jesus Christ. We receive Jesus and with that gift we get eternal life. This is what it means to keep the laws of God.

Concluding Affirmations

13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

This is so important. First and foremost you must have the assurance of salvation. If you can save yourself then it isn’t salvation. The word salvation means you can’t save yourself, it is only Jesus Christ that can save you. Knowing that you are a failure and a sinner is simply the prerequisite to calling on the Lord to be saved.

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

How do you ask according to God’s will? Simply ask according to the word of God, the word expresses His will. This doesn’t mean that you say to yourself I want this or I want that and then you go look for a Bible verse that seems to agree with that. This is what the entire prosperity gospel is built on. They want to be rich in the world, so equate being “rich” with being “blessed” and then you are off and running. Sadly, according to that equation the only disciple who was “blessed” was Judas when he had the silver after betraying the Lord.

15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Wow, that is just great. Step 1, pray according to the will of God, not according to your will, your lusts, your desires. Step 2 know that God hears you. Step 3, if God hears then know that you will have whatever you asked. For example “God I need to have the full assurance that I have eternal life.” I have prayed according to God’s will, I know He has heard me and now I know I have what I have prayed for, the assurance of salvation.

16 If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.

We are not called to judge and condemn our brothers and sisters, but we are called to pray for them. Once again, step 1 pray according to the will of God, not my opinion, not my desire for vengeance or to spread gossip. Here it is, did you see someone commit a sin, then the will of God is that you pray that God will give them life. Often we pray that God would enlighten them, shine on them, expose them, cause them to repent, confess, etc. But God’s will is that you pray that God give them life, that is the power that enables us to overcome sin and the world. One analogy is of a fish swimming upstream while leaves and sticks are floating downstream. If the world is a stream flowing down to the ocean then the only way to stop floating downstream is if you have life. So then, what is this “sin that leads to death”? Look at Judas, in his heart he saw Jesus as an opportunity to boost his career and to get rich. It was the same sin we saw in Balaam and he was rebuked by a donkey. The angel said that had it not been for the donkey he would have been killed. He was a prophet for hire willing to curse God’s people in exchange for money.

17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death. 18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

Here is another verse indicating God’s will that you can pray. Are you worried about being safe where the evil one can’t harm you? Once again we receive Jesus Christ, we are born of God, and then we keep His word to us, we obey it, and it will keep us safe.

19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

If you weren’t clear on this in 2019 hopefully you are now clear. When we say that people need to “wake up” we mean they need to see that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. When they see this it will cause a revival as people turn to the Lord for salvation and eternal life.

20 We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Do you need understanding? Do you need to know Him who is true? Everything is so confusing, who do you believe? Here is another verse that you can pray over. God will hear and you will receive.

21 Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.

There are two basic concepts in the world. Democracy is based on the rule of the people. For thousands of years everyone was told that the common man was too stupid to rule himself. This is why the founding fathers called it “an experiment” and knew that it would only be by the grace of God that we could keep this republic. The other basic concept is that government is by elites (Emperor, King, Caesar, General, Dictator, Oligarchs, etc). We all know this, now what John is telling you is that this second form of government is to be ruled by idols. You have been warned, do not choose to be ruled by idols.

This is God's promise to us

Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

Ask yourself, do you have the full assurance that this applies to you?

Isaiah 60:15 Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

Consider Adolf Hitler, he made a similar promise to the German people, they adored him, they had massive rallies for him, they considered him to be excellent. Is he "an eternal excellency"? Consider Bernie Madoff, at one time he was greatly revered, considered a genius, a person you could trust. His clients loved him, he did all his business by word of mouth. Is he an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations? Consider Jamie Foxx at one time he was receiving rave reviews of what a great actor he was, then he uttered blasphemy concerning Barak Obama, next thing you know he is in the hospital on the verge of death. Was he made an eternal excellency? My point is we have a temporary trials that lead to an eternal weight of glory whereas those in the world have a temporary glory that end up with eternal suffering in the lake of fire.

So then, the question is this:

Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Is Jesus your righteousness?

Matthew 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

We will be judged by our words. The Holy spirit is working on the earth, the context of this verse is the Lord healing someone. Do not blaspheme the work of the Holy Spirit. People who once were demon possessed are now speaking the high praises of God, do not blaspheme that.

4 times in the synoptic gospels Jesus is asked what you must do to inherit eternal life. This is a crucial question.

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

He that believeth not is condemned already

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

People refuse to believe on the Lord Jesus because they love darkness rather than light and that reveals that their deeds are evil. How people respond to the gospel reveals a lot about their heart and their deeds.
