Central Words concerning the last days

These are three chapters where Jesus tells us about the signs of the end of the age.

(During the 70th week) Mark 13 — to them that give suck in those days!

(Pertaining to the Jews) Matthew 24 — Lightning comes forth from the east

The Central Point

Here I am looking at the letter to the seven churches in Revelation. What is the central point of chapter 2, what is the central point of chapter 3 and what is the central point of all 7 letters?

The central point to Revelation 2 to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel

We are being warned of the stratagems of the evil one.

The central point to Revelation 3 come upon the whole world, to try them

We are being warned of the trial that is coming on the whole world.

The central point to Revelation 2-3 And he that overcometh, and he that keepeth my works unto the end

The central point is that we are to overcome all these trials and to keep the Lord's works to the end.

My Yoke is easy

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I have found that many have made the Lord's yoke hard and His burden heavy. We are called to be witnesses, they teach that you don't need to be a missionary to a foreign land, simply witness to your family, friends and colleagues. My family includes a Harvard lawyer, a college professor at a nationally ranked university and a sister who shrieks every time she hears the name of Jesus. There is nothing easy about talking to them. I worked as a school teacher in the NYC public school. If you mentioned Jesus in school it was grounds for being fired. Not only so but even if you talk about Jesus on Facebook to your family and friends you could be fired. So I would argue that the burden to preach to family, friends and colleagues is not light, it is heavy and it isn't easy, it is hard.

Luke 4:24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is acceptable in his own country.

However, I once heard a brother teach a theory that no one can be saved unless someone prays for them. Once a brother in his congregation challenged that saying there is no way anyone in his family prayed for him and yet he was saved. However, a little while later he discovered that his wife had been taught as a girl that one day she would get married and therefore she should start praying for her husband. Even though she didn't know who he was the Lord did. So she had been praying for his salvation before he got saved. My point is it may be hard to preach to family, friends and colleagues, but is easy to pray for their salvation by name. Yes, I cannot preach the gospel to my students, but I can pray for them by name. That is easy. Also that is a light burden. Almost on a daily basis I was updating my grade book, why not say a little prayer for each student as you update their grades?

James 5:18bThe supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.

On the other hand I am also in the Gideon's. As a worldwide ministry the Gideons have distributed 2.5 billion Bibles in the last 100 years. This is easy. We go to hotels and check the Bibles to make sure they are OK and replace the ones that aren't. That is easy, we do it once a year. Also we go to other events, they have a food give away that we attend once a month and hand out about 700 Bibles at. I will go up to the people at this event and ask if they want a Bible. I will then ask if they heard what happened? I will then proceed to tell them a current event, for example a woman in the UK was arrested for praying quietly. She wasn't protesting, wasn't blocking traffic, didn't have any signs, they simply suspected she was praying quietly and so she was arrested. It is now illegal in some parts of the UK to pray. When I was younger and in college I was told that the stories in the Bible were myths. The story about Daniel being arrested for praying in his home and then thrown in the lion's den was supposed to be one of these myths. Yet here we are seeing these Bible stories taking place in our lifetime. The good news is that it is still legal in the US to pray. This is easy to share with others, I have not had any problem giving a short word like this to the people as I hand out Bibles. What would be hard would be to pray for each person by name, I don't know their names. We speak to a thousand people at one of these events. It would be a very heavy burden to try and gather every name and then pray for every person by name before each food give away.

So let me ask you this. Each month do you pray for 100 people to be saved and do you preach the gospel to a 100 people? There is a very easy way to do this.

Romans 10:18-21 The one thing you cannot do if you want to be saved.

18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”

This is a very big prophecy. Isaiah prophesied of this, Jesus said that the gospel would be preached throughout the entire earth and then the end would come, and Paul reiterates this. This age had a mission, the Lord said “I will build my church”. That was His overarching mission for the age. Within that mission preaching the gospel to the entire earth was a critical component. Right now we are seeing all kinds of protests against governments, they are claiming that the government has not treated them justly. Perhaps it was because of who they were, or where they lived, or the color of their skin, or the money in their bank account. These governments are all corrupt, they have plundered their people, so there is no reconciliation. If they confess the sins and make it right they will have to give all that plunder back. But meanwhile the gospel has been preached throughout the entire earth. The church has been built and has also struggled with this. “There is no Jew nor Gentile, no slave nor free, no male or female.” The righteousness of God is the foundation that we stand on in the church. Didn't everyone hear the gospel? Yes, but not all received it.

19 Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says, “I will make you envious by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding.” 20 And Isaiah boldly says, “I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me.”

This entire chapter on the way of salvation is framed within the context of Israel being rejected. They heard the good news but didn’t accept it. The problem is not that they couldn’t understand it, people with no understanding received it. The problem was not that they weren’t seeking hard enough, people who weren’t seeking at all found Jesus. The problem was not that they didn’t pray enough, asking for a revelation, Jesus revealed Himself to those who didn’t even ask. The problem was envy. They wanted to have their own righteousness. They wanted to be the one who climbed the mountain, the one who went into the pit and climbed out by their own strength. Think about how angry they are that they have studied, and prayed, and sought so hard and yet they have been left far behind by the church that Jesus has built.

21 But concerning Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.”

To declare that “Jesus is Lord” indicates that you obey Him as Lord. Being baptized is simply one example of this obedience, but our entire Christian life should be one of obeying the Lord’s speaking to us. Having an attitude that the word that others obey is not something you need to obey is to be obstinate. Disobedient and obstinate both indicate that you are proud and arrogant. “Jesus is Lord” not you. Believe it and speak it and you shall be saved. You let the word come into your heart, get rooted in your heart until it flows right out of your mouth. Do that and you shall be saved.

Let’s make this really simple. The world is a heap of collapse, everyone trying to climb on top of others to get to the top of that heap. For thousands of years human history has been filled with those who want to be called “the greatest”. We have forgotten many of them, and many others had their lives end tragically or violently. In the end none of those people are able to save us. You can call on their name, read their words, it won’t matter, you won’t get saved. We have now come to a moment in history where the entire world will realize we need the savior. We’ll have famines, plagues and wars and to make it even worse we’ll realize that our rulers have played us. They took our jobs, our houses, our money and even our children to make themselves rich. Every empire has ended in a heap of collapse.

So then, if you want to be saved there is one thing you can’t do. Many people talk about the things that you need to do to get saved. You need to pray, yet some people have gotten saved who didn’t pray. You need to seek the Lord, yet some people have gotten saved who weren’t seeking for the Lord. You need to understand the gospel, yet there are people who have been saved who don’t have any understanding. In truth the Lord has already done everything you need, you simply need to receive it. But there is one thing that you can do that will prevent you from being saved. If you seek to have your own righteousness, if you pray to have your own righteousness, if your labor is for your own righteousness. As long as you want to be Lord you will not be able to call “Lord Jesus”. As long as you are envious of Jesus as Lord you won’t be able to receive His words. Your pride and arrogance will make you disobedient and obstinate.

But suppose that isn’t you. You are very happy to receive the work Jesus has done for you and to worship Him as Lord. However, you are weak in the faith, what can you do? Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. How much word can you hear? You can listen to hymns and songs of praise. You can listen to sermons. You can fellowship with others. You can read the word. You can be as strong in the faith as you want. You can pray, seek the Lord, and study the word. All of these things can help you grow in grace and become strong in the faith.

“What not to do if you want to be saved”, some will assume there is some big sin. The “unforgivable sin”. So let’s address that. Matthew 12:31 For this reason I say unto you, Every sin and injurious speaking shall be forgiven to men, but speaking injuriously of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men. 32 And whosoever shall have spoken a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming [one]. The Pharisees had rejected Jesus saying that He cast out demons by the prince of the demons. They were envious of Him. They wanted to have their own righteousness. They wanted to be Lord. As a result they couldn’t hear Him, they rejected Him and they were disobedient and obstinate. This is the one thing you can’t do if you want to be saved.

Psalm 83 Let them be confounded and dismayed that they may know that Jesus Christ is Lord

1 O God, keep not thou silence: Hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

O Lord, look on us for we are calling on You.

2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult; And they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

Lord, those that hate you are not hiding anymore. They are puffed up, they are proud, they strut.

3 They take crafty counsel against thy people, And consult together against thy hidden ones.

CRT is crafty counsel. Trying to turn kids into Antifa warriors is crafty counsel. This bioweapon is crafty counsel. Manipulating Putin into destroying Ukraine is crafty counsel. Making laws that criminalize prayer or speaking about Jesus is crafty counsel.

4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

Lord, Israel, your centerpiece is at the heart of everything going on. They have to first destroy the US to get to Israel. We have a covenant with You, we have a contract that You will save, so we are calling on You, honor your word to us, your people.

5 For they have consulted together with one consent; Against thee do they make a covenant: 6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagarenes; 7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre: 8 Assyria also is joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot. Selah

Lord, the deep state has joined together. The NIH and CCP, Biden and Xi, the FBI and CIA, the CDC and FDA. Iran and North Korea and Venezuela, all allied together.

9 Do thou unto them as unto Midian, As to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon; 10 Who perished at Endor, Who became as dung for the earth. 11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb; Yea, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna; 12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves in possession The habitations of God.

Lord Jesus, this is your church, your possession, your habitation they want to steal.

13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust; As stubble before the wind.

O Lord, make them like the drought stricken west that we see on the news. Dry up all their reservoirs, all their lakes. Fill the air with the dust, have them chop down their trees, abandon their crops.

14 As the fire that burneth the forest, And as the flame that setteth the mountains on fire, 15 So pursue them with thy tempest, And terrify them with thy storm.

Lord, we call on You. Pursue them like the fires in the West where they must continually retreat from the wall of flames. Create firenados, and terrify them with the storm. With hurricane Ida, with Fred, and Grace, and Nora. Fill the oceans with storms that terrify them.

16 Fill their faces with confusion, That they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.

As the world collapses around them we ask that this would cause them to seek You. To repent and to call on Jesus who is Lord. To confess that they are nothing and can do nothing and that they need your salvation. May your name be glorified.

17 Let them be put to shame and dismayed for ever; Yea, let them be confounded and perish;

Lord, put them to shame over Ukraine. May all the evil deeds be exposed. May we see video clips of everything they said over the last twenty years and put them to shame. May they be dismayed over the glittering sword of the Lord that has left it’s sheath to execute your judgement on the earth. And Lord, confound them on every side. Confound them with the election audits, confound them with the recall votes, confound them with the Epstein investigation, confound them with Afghan witnesses to the CIA crimes, confound those who are compromised with foreign countries or who are secretly working with the globalists or the Satanists. Confound them with the trucker convoy and with inflation.

18 That they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, Art the Most High over all the earth.

Yes, Lord, remember your word that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. We pray that you would remember your word to fulfill it. Amen.

Central words

I found four chapters in the Bible with the word "scourged". Strangely it is not in the book of Luke. So I also added the chapter about the crucifixion in Luke to this group. This is the central phrase in each of these five chapters (1st four have the word scourged in them).

Job 30 — And now my soul is poured out within me

Matthew 27 —that he might bear his cross

Is this present tense, future tense or present progressive? It sounds like it could refer to the present going into the future.

Mark 15 — superscription of his accusation was written over, the King of the Jews

Suppose you crossed out what you said before and then wrote over it. Also, why is "the king of the Jews" an accusation? This sounds like these ones denied that Jesus was the king of the Jews and now they will have to cross out what they said before (repent of those words) and write that He is the king of the Jews.

John 19 — crucified Jesus

No matter how you look at it, when God looks down on man from heaven He sees that they crucified Jesus.

Luke 23 — the days are coming, in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare

This is clearly referring to the future when the tribulation will come. Once again Luke appears to be to those who are raptured prior to the 70th week. Now is the time to take the Lord's blood and repent. This is why they don't need to be scourged. When the Lord forgives you you are white as snow.

I looked at three chapters that focused on the calling of Abraham, Moses, Saul and Barnabas.

The Call of Abraham

Genesis 12 — there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down

A calling begins with a need, in this case a famine. And it requires that you go down, not up. If someone is to be pulled out of the fire then you must go down to them, not require that they come up to you.

The Call of Moses

Exodus 3 —Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel

You respond to a calling with prayer. If it is truly a heavenly calling then you cannot fulfill your calling without God's help and supply.

The Call of Saul and Barnabas

Acts 13 But behold, there cometh one after me

A heavenly calling always points to Jesus. Like John the Baptist you are preparing the way for the Lord's coming.

Central words

These are some of the most important chapters concerning the rapture.

John 11 supposing that she was going unto the tomb to weep there

This is the resurrection of Lazarus, this central point takes place prior to the rapture, so things look bleak at this time.

John 14 ye know him; for he abideth with you

In this chapter Jesus preparing a place for us and then coming again to bring us to Himself takes place prior to this central point. This is the key point, Jesus abides with us and the rapture is when we are taken to abide with Him. This is a crucial lesson we need to learn in the Christian life.

I Corinthians 15 why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?

We have done all to stand and having done all we do stand. But why are we under such an attack if what we are preaching is not true? This is called "being over the target". We are under this attack because we are over the target.

1Thessalonians 4 But we exhort you, brethren, that ye abound more and more; 11 and that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your hands

Any discussion on the rapture should focus on what we should be doing right now to prepare.

2Thessalonians 2 And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming

This is a major revelation in the end times, Jesus will slay the lawless one and bring him to nought.

Genesis 5 — and begat sons and daughters

This is the chapter on Enoch being caught up. There will be a lot of saints left behind including the apostate church which will be considered the weaker one.

Genesis 7 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark

A chapter that is essential to the picture of the Lord's coming and our rapture. Our rapture is the "selfsame day". Meanwhile Jesus will abide with all the left behind saints in the ark to ride out the storm.

Judges 16 There hath not come a razor upon my head; for I have been a Nazirite unto God

This is the chapter where the two pillars are pushed out of the way and sometimes we forget the key point about Samson is that he was a nazarite vow. His fall was allowing them to shave the hair of his vow. Do not drink the world's befuddling wine and do not let them shave your head.

2Kings 2 he saw him no more

A wonderful picture of the rapture. The saints who are left behind will see, but once the raptured saints are taken you will see them no more and now the mantle will be on your shoulders.

Isaiah 26 — Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us;

A wonderful promise. With such a promise why would anyone think we would have to be on earth for the AntiChrist reign?

Something about the Bible I love but used to hate

When you read the Old Testament it is filled with references to kingdoms and people you have never heard of. Who are the Assyrians? What about the Babylonians? Gog, Magog, Nineveh, etc. Eventually I learned that although these people and kingdoms have long since turned to dust their spirit is still here. The great Babylon today does not refer to Iraq, it refers to the materialistic USA. So at first it is hard to figure out what God is talking about but that is a minor issue, it is fun to figure it out because in reality every word in the Bible is about Jesus, it is about us, it is about our heart, and sin, and grace, and God's love and salvation.

But here is what I love about all this. It is so easy to read about some great abusive kingdom, the Pharaoh of Egypt, or Nineveh's mistreatment of the Jews, or the vicious Assyrians, yet where are they today? Just dust. Yet in the midst of all this tiny Israel is still here! How? We had Roman Empire, Greek Empire, Babylonian Empire, Medo Persian Empire, one after the other "great" empires came and went and yet Israel is still here. That is the power of the word and the spirit of this word. Everything else is vanity, a great big statue that will become dust after a few hundred years.

To me this lesson is loud and clear. The church may seem small, insignificant. The deep state can boast of working for a hundred generations to seize power, of ruling the world for thousands of years, and yet here we are at the end of the age and everything revolves around the people of the book.
