1. Prove I'm misapplying it.
2. All hell was unleashed on humankind because Adam ate, so you really are lost on this aren't you?
3. Yes, the man is condemned if he infracts the Law of Faith--"let every man be fully convinced in his own mind" (Ro 14:5). "Faith which works by love"--and the command is "believe on the NAme of God's Son, AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER [walk by faith]"! If we obey Christ's commands, we abide in Him, and only those who abide in Him are given His Spirit.
Need another explanation now from you.

So when does a person receive the Holy Spirit and why does someone receive the Holy Spirit?

Can you explain the way you understand Romans 14:23?
Same as I've said many times before : we're under the Law of Faith ("believe in the Name of the Son of God AND love one another").

In Ro 14:5, the rule is given "let every man be fully convinced in his own mind", which is the second portion of the Law of Faith, so that the believer who breaks the Law of Faith isn't remaining in Christ but is condemned, and he can acknowledge his wrong and change course and be forgiven.

How do you understand the following verse?

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

The apostle Paul in certain places in the New Testament clearly announces certain fundamental doctrines.

There can be no doubt that Ephesians 2:8-9 is one of those fundamental doctrines.

You receive eternal life, the Spirit, when you obey Christ's commands--"believe on the Name of God's Son AND love one another"--and so abide in Him.

We were saved from sin (different aspects) and wrath on sin--as the Jews were saved from slavery, and God's wrath on Egypt.

Not sure how to be clearer : Ro 14:23 is a general rule, but even if you wanted to object 'how could eating damn anyone? " just remember Adam plunged humankind into damnation by eating.

Look man, Christians can eat ANYTHING they choose. Including meats sacrificed to idols and resold into the marketplace.

Biblical fact.

This is a very complex subject, works and faith.

Acts 15:11
But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are.

Ultimately, we are saved by the grace of God in the first instance.

It would be better if everyone inserted the word, 'GRACE', before 'faith', in every occurrence in the N.T.

Romans 4:16
For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants

The Spirit is repaid the righteous.

Righteousness is a gift (Ro 6), making eternal life a gift.

However, "faith in Christ" is only one "tablet" of the Law of Faith; the second "tablet" is "love one another" (1 Jn 3:23), as is argued in Galatians, James, Romans, etc.

Not sure if you're PRETENDING to not understand, or if you somehow really aren't understanding.

Have another attempt at explaining Paul's declaration.

Yep, saved like the Jews were saved from Egypt--still, after salvation, they sinned and fell under God's wrath and forfeited the Promise God made to them, to teach us what can happen to us (1 Co 9:26-1 Co 10).

I understand what you are saying.

The problem is understanding the foundation of our faith and why we are saved in the first place.

Paul makes it very clear that we receive the Holy Spirit because we believed in Jesus.

Ephesians 1:13
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of the promise.

Did Moses fall under God's wrath?

Were the Jews granted salvation in Egypt or were the Jews granted freedom from slavery in Egypt?

. . . . .
Yes, God’s GRACE comes first. Faith requires action; it is the moment of our believing.
