Justification is conditioned on what God does in our heart through the Holy Spirit. Didn’t you know that faith is not of ourselves, but is a gift of God?!!!! Ephesians 1:9. For by Grace we are saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Ephesians 1:10 And that we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus?!!! God Is the one who begins the work and God is the one who finishes it.

I perceive that your problem is a sub biblical understanding of what faith is.
Justification before God isnt conditioned on what God does in us, but what God does for His elect. You condition Justification on what man does. Conditionalism !

By becoming a curse for us. Now answer me this, according to Galatians 3:24, what were they locked up under and how were they justified (according to the purpose phrase at the end of the verse)?
Okay that speaks of His death. So everyone Christ died for has been redeemed/saved from the curse of the Law, is that the testimony of that scripture ?

Where are the words “ before they believe” in Romans 4:5? Romans 4:5 says that those who believe have their faith credited/counted as righteousness to them. Faith counted as righteousness is justification.
If they are justified while ungodly, it has to be before they believed.

edit: by Christ becoming a curse for us. Now according to the purpose clause at the end of verse 24, by what means were they justified?
Then they were Justified before God by Christ becoming a curse for them, faith didnt have anything to do with it. No sense in going to Vs 24 if you dont understand Vs 13

If faith is a gift of God, why do you argue as if you think it is a work that we produce?!!
If you condition Justification before God on Faith/Believing whether its your natural faith or God given Faith, you are conditioning Justification before God on what you do rather than what Christ did for you. Thats works

See. You still don’t understand the concept that faith is a gift. If you think faith is a work, you either don’t have it or don’t understand it.

I understand verse 13. You don’t understand the flow of a text. Do you EVEN KNOW what Galatians 3 is about? What is Paul’s flow of argument in Galatians 3? You don’t know.

Just cut out verses 1-12 and 14 to end, right? Do you even know what Paul is talking about in the context of Galatians 3?

That isnt your concern, dont focus on me but on Christ
not only do you not understand Galatians 3:13, you haven’t the foggiest notion of what the book of Galatians is about.

The third chapter of Galatians.
(and the entire book) is a contrast between the false path of seeking to be saved through law keeping and the right teaching of salvation by and through faith in the promise(s) of God. It is a polemic against the Judaizers and advocates the truth of justification by faith, also taught in the book of Romans.

Galatians 3 flow- faith in the promise vs law keeping.

a. Salvation and graces are given by faith, not by law keeping. (Verses 1-5)

b Abraham is the prime example of justification by faith. (Verses 6-9)

c. The Law cannot save, because it curses everyone who does not perfectly obey it. (Verses 10)

d. No one is justified by law. The righteous will live by faith.

e. The Law is based on perfect obedience. The faith is based on Christ’s obedience. (Verses 12-13)

f. The blessing of Abraham comes on the Gentiles through faith, not the Law. (Verse 14)

g. The law does not nullify the promise. (Vs 15-18)

h. The purpose of the Law was to point us to Christ that we might believe on Him. (vs 19-22)

I. Those who believe are no longer under the Law. Vs 23-25

J. All believers are Christ’s and one in Him. Vs 25-29

The people who Christ redeemed were at one point in their life shut up under the Law. Verse 23. They were shut up under the Law until Christ came THAT THEY MIGHT BE (purpose) JUSTIFIED BY FAITH. (verse 24)

Flow of text. Context. Follow the flow!

If they are justified while ungodly, it has to be before they believed.
So you were godly BEFORE you believed????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a. Your argument is that since they were justified while ungodly, it had to be before they believed. So you have to be godly before you can believe.

b. Following this line of reason, one is godly before they believe.

c. So you were godly before you believed?!!!

Wow, that’s a very novel doctrine.

I dont believe you do understand Gal 3:13. Those whom Christ died for were by that death redeemed from the curse of the law. They are dead to the law by the Body of Christ Rom 7:4 No condemnation, which equates to Justification. This had nothing to do with their Faith, but everything to do with Christs Faith/Faithfulness.

I can see you cant understand these matters. No one said anything about being godly before they believed.

You said they were justified while ungodly (true), so it must have been before they believed. Why does the fact that they were they were justified while ungodly necessarily mean they had not believed? God gives the gift of faith to the ungodly so that they might believe and through faith become godly.
