I would say that the essential doctrines we must believe in are the Apostles's Creed and the Nicene Creed, more or less.

In a practical life, we must repent and believe the gospel.

And thats pretty much it.

"Bbbbut, but that would make many Catholics saved. That would make many Orthodox saved. That would even make some liberals saved!" Exactly.
What about praying to saints and Mary? What about works salvation? What about re-sacrificing Jesus over and over and over again daily?
As for the liberals, you got to be joking, right? Deny creation, deny bible's authority (unfortunately u also said u dont go by the 66books, sad), pro-lgbt, pro-abortion, pro-everything against the bible under the sun.

Yeah these are saved people

Yes God preserved His Word- I don’t do personal attacks—I attack false teachings
You dodged. And yes your comment was a personal attack. It was personal, directed at Trofimus, and it was an attack, denigrating what you think his view is on a matter irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Did you have your theology all corret when you first believed? No. Trof didn’t claim that these folks had everything correct. In fact he didn’t address it at all. Your making an error of logic.

The Church generally accepts that christians do not have to agree on every doctrine, but what doctrines can we disagree on?

In my opinion, the only essential doctrines in the Christian Faith are as follows:

* God created everything.
* Every man besides Jesus Christ has sinned.
* Jesus Christ came in the Flesh.
* Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for the sins of humanity.
* Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father.
All doctrines are essential. Any departure from any biblical doctrine is a walk down the road of idolatry. Doctrinal unity is a primary goal of the Christian faith.

Not to take sides except that if you dont' believe the Bible is without error then I don't see how saying "you don't even believe that the Bible is without error" is a personal attach if that is what you believe.

So do you believe the Bible is without error or not? ( Since it is not a question of what he believes but rather what you believe.)
See my response directly to BBB.

I had not praying to dead people correct yes. I post some grievous errors and you respond to me by saying did you have everything correct.

There is a big difference between not having some things correct and praying to dead people, ok? Or being an lgbt advocate

All doctrine is "essential" because it is God's word to His people. If He didn't think it was "essential" He would not have mentioned it.

Christians are to be of ONE mind, with NO divisions among us. 1 Cor 1: 10
That ONE mind is the mind of Jesus Christ who taught us the election message in his parable of wheat and tares, and the separation of sheep and goats. (sheep remain sheep, goats remain goats .....as they were created.....and as they were predestined.

Clearly, belief in ‘election’ as a Calvinist would use the term, is not an essential doctrine. One can be a Christian without believing it.

This is the kind of sectarianism to which I alluded in the second post. It causes division, not unity.

It also prevents lost people from hearing the Gospel. Why pursue any outreach when it has already been determined that those that are elect will get saved despite whether they are preached to or not. The elect will simply wake up one morning and know that he is saved . . . and then he will repent . . . or some such rot.

Doctrine is doctrine, dogma is dogma......how does not worship in spirit AND in truth is one does not know what the truth is? And it is contained in understanding doctrine. Calvinism should be classified more as dogma. I do not want unity with apostates.
