The reader will note that the passage begins with, "
21 Not everyone saying to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will
enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the
one doing the will of My Father in the heavens.
22 Many will say to Me
in that the day, […]"
Note a couple of things:
--
"the kingdom of the heavens" is the promised and prophesied
earthly Millennial Kingdom, commencing upon His "RETURN"
to the earth [see also Lk12:
36-37,38,40,42-44 etc "
when he will
RETURN FROM the wedding"...
THEN the meal; and Lk19:12,15,17,19 for the other usage of "return"--
neither of these passages pertain to "
our Rapture/Departure/
episynagoges UNTO HIM" ('IN THE AIR')]
--
"IN THAT DAY" (most often refers to the period of time which involves "judgments-
followed-by-blessing"--meaning, the 7-yr trib
on the earth and also including the
earthly MK age which follows [into which "the righteous" (of the trib years) will "ENTER"; but not "the cursed" or those who "believe[d] the LIE/the false/the
pseudei" 2Th2:10-12 (during those yrs)]; "the Church which is His body" [by contrast] will be experiencing "the Day of
our Lord Jesus Christ" UP THERE "WITH [G4862] Him"
concurrently with when "the DOTL" is beginning [its spans of time] to unfold
upon the earth [the "DARK"/"DARKNESS"/"
IN THE NIGHT" portion, i.e. while the 7-yrs/70th-Wk is unfolding
upon the earth])
--
2Th2:13 (just after the passage already named above), Paul says,
English Standard Version
But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God
chose you as the
firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit
and belief in the truth.
Berean Literal Bible
But we ought to give thanks to God always concerning you, brothers beloved by
the Lord, that God
has chosen you
from the beginning unto salvation in
the sanctification of
the Spirit,
and by faith of the truth;
...and see the word that has been translated either "firstfruit [
aparche]" or "from beginning [
ap' arche]"... and the word for "has chosen" is a DIFFERENT Greek word from the usual word we see for "chose," and is here the Greek word
"G138 - heilato / haireó" which Bible Hub says is "probably akin to
G142 - airo"--"I raise, lift up, take away, remove" (which is what the earlier part of this particular passage is speaking to, in a few different ways / expressions [and not merely v.1 alone],… the ONE THING that must take place "FIRST" before "the DOTL" with its "man of sin" [and ALL he will DO over the course of the 7-yrs] can be "present" to unfold
upon the earth--the passage is showing a SEQUENCE [
repeated 3x] and which was the SAME SEQUENCE as was given in 1Th4-5)
