But in the end, the Bible is all about life, not sin.
How about "All about God and Christ?" The Bible is (a) primarily about God and Christ's relationship to mankind, and secondarily to all creation, and (b) God's plans and purposes for those redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

1. The history of Israel (later the kingdoms of Israel and Judah) is there to show us that God would bring the Messiah/Savior through the nation of Israel, and for the salvation of mankind. And that in spite of all the privileges given to the Israelites, they failed to keep the Law again and again.

2. The Law of Moses is there to show humanity that no one can be saved by trying to keep the Law perfectly. It is also there to show all men that there is none righteous, no not one. All are guilty before God, therefore all need to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

3. The Gospel of Christ is to show us that salvation -- the gift of eternal life -- is purely by the grace of God and based solely upon the finished work of Christ. All human works are excluded.

4. All the Bible prophecies for the future are there to show us that God will eventually establish everlasting righteousness and peace upon this earth, and there will eventually be a New Heavens and a New Earth.

If according to Jesus, the first of all the commandment is To Know The One True God.
Then I ask him again.
Do you know The One Thru God?

Is this a Divine Revelation:
I read this verse as an answer of Jesus, implying to the Jews how important to Know The One True God and they must obey the 1st commandment.

John 8:54-55
54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

55 Yet ye have NOT KNOWN HIM; but I KNOW HIM: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

Since The One True God or God The Father is the one talking in the Old Testament.
I tried to ask God The Father.
How important To Know The One True God as Jesus stated in John 8:54-55?

Is this a Divine Revelation?
I read this verse as an answer of God The Father of his very loving promised.
Whoever obey the first commandment (To Know The One True God) his/her sins will be forgiven.

JEREMIAH 31:34
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, KNOW the Lord: for they shall all KNOW ME, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Since it is important to obey the first commandment, that is why even Jesus revealed it to Apostle Paul, what God The Father said:
Then Paul wrote it.

HEBREW 8:11-12
None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more

If God The Father says in Jeremiah 31:34, in order to the sin be forgiven is To Know The One True God.

I tried to ask God The Father.
How can I know you because you are a spirit God and I can't see you?

Is this a Revelation?
Jesus answered my question when I read this.

JOHN 8:19
19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: IF YE HAD KNOWN ME, YE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN MY FATHER ALSO.

Then I asked both Jesus & God The Father.

Can you give me a proof of John 8:19 and Jeremiah 31:34?

If my sin is forgiven means will I get save?

Is this a Revelation from God?
I read about the 2 criminals who crucified with Jesus. One is on his right and the other is on his left.
Before, both of the 2 criminals reviled Jesus (Mark 15:32).
But later on, the criminal on his right all of a sudden he recognized Jesus.
Since he recognized Jesus, he had known The One True God (John 8:19)
Since he had known God The Father, his sins had forgiven (Jeremiah 31:34) and the criminal on Jesus right side got saved (Luke 23:43).

MARK 15:32

32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

LUKE 23:42-43

42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[a]”

43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Now my question to Jesus.

How can I recognize you, same on what the criminal on your right side recognized you?

The Bible is a DIVINE REVELATION from the one true God to all of humanity.

This is what I read today.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same YESTERDAY, TODAY, and FOREVER.

How could that be the same in our times where Jesus is not existing in the earth anymore?
Unlike in New Testament; they had Jesus and people can SEE, TOUCH (feel) and HEAR Jesus.

Is this a DIVINE REVELATION?
I read the following:

Revelation 19:13
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called THE WORD OF GOD (Referring to Jesus)

Hebrew 10:7 ------------ Jesus said
Then said I, Lo, I come (IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN TO ME,) to do thy will, O God.

In our times, there is only 1 BOOK where written THE WORD OF GOD which is The Holy Bible.
The Holy Bible can be SEEN, TOUCHED (feel) and HEARED (while we read it)

Again, Is this a DIVINE REVELATION?
In the New Testament they had Jesus while in our times we have the bible.
HOLY BIBLE = JESUS CHRIST (The Jesus Christ Yesterday is the same to Jesus Christ Today Hebrew 13:8)
Yes, The Holy Bible = Jesus Christ The WORD OF GOD still dwelling among us in written form. Physically and Spiritually Jesus Christ is seated at the Righthand of God the Father in Heaven.

The WORD OF GOD has now been given to us in written form because the Holy Spirit is now with us on the Earth. The Holy Spirit of God is the Divine Revealer.

God has hidden Himself in plain sight… only by the Holy Spirit can Divine Revelation be given to us.

While on the Earth, Jesus Christ would tell a parable and at the end say, “He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying.”

No matter what we read in the Bible, such as…. “The Lord is my Shepherd…” we will need the Holy Spirit to tell us what that means… there is deep hidden Truth that only the Holy Spirit can reveal by giving us understanding.

With these Truths taught to us by the Word and Spirit of God, we grow and mature in faith and love for God and each other.

God seeks those that are humble and broken-hearted… He rejects and hides Himself from the proud and haughty.

What? Like Saul of Tarsus who was persecuting the church?

Saul of Tarsus was not proud or haughty, he was EXTREMELY zealous for God.

There is a difference between proud and zealous.

He was the worst of sinners when God saved him, but not at all proud or haughty?

I know it is not just a simply as a book.
Anybody could elaborate more on what is a bible?
The one and only God-breathed Word from heaven that testifies to the TRUTH and REALITY of His eternal plan of salvation for men thru Jesus Christ. Furthermore, to abrogate and disannul anything to the contrary.
I know it is not just a simply as a book.
Anybody could elaborate more on what is a bible?
The testimony of Jesus Christ of Himself by Himself.

Was Saul seeking Christ? Not so you would notice.
On the contrary, Christ was seeking him.

And Paul obeyed His voice and became a servant.

Correct. Saul who became Paul was "the worst of all sinners and EXTREMELY ZEALOUS for God." God chose Saul/Paul. God would NOT have chosen him if he had been full of pride and haughty like the other Pharisees.

As Saul, Paul actually believed he was doing God service by killing, imprisoning, and persecuting all the Christians.

While encountering Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus, Saul/Paul immediately was humble and asked Jesus Christ what he should do. Paul was very strong willed and zealous but he was humble before God and not proud or haughty.

You are moving the goal-posts. The claim I was responding to was,

Lafftur said:

God was seeking Saul when he was arrogant. He does not only seek out the humble. He only accepts the humble to be joined to His Son. Saul humbled himself after God sought him.

Totally agree.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I also agree that Paul is humble because humbleness is the key to salvation.

Saul humbled himself and became Paul.

Is there a difference between an humbleness in Man's Standard and humbleness in God Standard?

Who can explain the difference between the two?

Humbleness in Man's Standard ________________________________________________________________________.

Humbleness in God's Standard _________________________________________________________________________.

We can all quote the classic explanation but for me its Him. Its His book He (Christ) and the word are one. Since I was found by Him I have heard, read about all the so called problems like "that chapter is not in some transcripts" so forth so on but He's in me and its His word. Its where I run to as back up yet to also lead. Since He always backs up what He says with His word. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. " "For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. "

There are so many others but I think you understand. To world its foolish yet a child can understand.

Yes, God seeks those that are humble themselves.
In the New Testament, all Jews are humble (Man Standard) because they follow the law or what is written in the bible in The Old Testament.
But only very few who seek by God like Saul or Tarsus.

That is the proof that God seeks only those people who humble themselves according to God's Standard.

Therefore with regards to humbleness, there is Man's Standard & God's Standard.

Is this a Divine Revelation?
For Humbleness:

MAN STANDARD:
The Jews follow what Scribes & Pharisees (religious leaders by that time) preached to them.
They follow the law literally like:
*THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY (they brought Mary Magdalene to Jesus for adultery)
* THOU SHALT NOT STEAL (they crucified the 2 criminals besides of Jesus for stealing)

GOD STANDARD:
Saul of Tarsus humble himself according to God Standard that is why he seeks by Jesus.

When Paul was Saul, he followed Man's Standard for humbleness that is why he studied in a bible school to Gamaliel in order to serve and to love God. And Saul became a Pharisee and preach the word of God to the Jews by using his own intellect.

ACTS 22:3
I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of GAMALIEL, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.

Perhaps we can trace how Saul Of Tarsus humble himself (God's Standard) when he was on the road to Damascus that is why he seeks by Jesus and became Paul.

That God seeks the humble does not prove that God does not also seek the proud. I like eggs. That does not mean I like only eggs.

I think what the verse means is that God seeks the humble because they will be willing to learn from and obey Him. Proud people are less likely to do the same in regard to God. God being practical doesn't want to waste time and effort if He knows that a proud person won't respond to Him.
