who are the church fathers ? the church being the body of Christ has one father in heaven only

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth - pre-trib rapture is not truth, and cannot be found in Scripture.
Therefore those of us who have the Holy Spirit and 'fear God', we know the Truth and are sanctified in His Word.
Every word of God is flawless;

He is prepring a place for us - maybe we will be close and next to one another.
He is coming again, to receive you and me unto Himself for no man can pluck us from His Hand. We will be with Him Forever - Amen.
Our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ and the Precious Holy Spirit will not leave us orphans - neither will THEY confuse us.
The SAME Lord Jesus who spoke John 14 into Life also said this to us in John 16 =
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

This what i find truly amazing about our Lord and His Word = He knew of every error/lie that satan would use against His Church and in the foreknowledge of Christ, He covered and exposed those errors/lies/confusion with TRUTH in Scripture.
Just sit back and dwell on that - let that sink deep into your soul and spirit and mind and you will Glow with JOY & CONFIDENCE in HIM and HIS WORD.
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

Could you tell us in modern language what the church in the age of the apostles taught about the second coming?
I find in my studies that the church changed dramatically when Constantine took over control of the church because he used what he learned about ruling Rome to rule the church. It was a worldly type rule. Controversies were then decided by men in councils instead of going to men trained by apostles. Before, love of others and love of the Lord ruled the church, it transformed lives because faith, to them, was in all Christ taught about their lives. My studies say the age of the apostles stopped abruptly when Constantine took over in 313.
Today, our most accurate and concise prophecy about the second coming of Christ is given in the three fall feasts. The spring and summer feasts did that for the first coming of Christ and Pentecost.

I think the question is very valid. The church as it was in the first 300 years is a very different church than the church is today. They thought differently. They were closer to the apostles who were taught by Christ, and it is very profitable to learn how they thought and consider it. So far the OP says he is looking at their writings, but he isn't telling us what they say. I'd like to know.
I've tried to understand what they write about, but I don't understand them. They worded things differently 2,000 years ago. What I have learned about them has always been through reading what scholars who can understand them tells me.
