From all of creation. God will be All in all when it’s all done.

“And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son Himself also be subject unto Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.”

when teaching lacks truth as Annihilationism does, those who hold to it must attack the other position to make what they hold seem stronger. It is an act of one desperate to not be exposed. The word of God is very clear Jesus who is the authority who died was buried and raised again taught on hell more than any other topic. The eternal condition of sin is why we die a physical death. And lost fellowship with God the Father. Jesu in Himself restored that relationship through His vicarious death on the cross.

Jesus said HE is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. Those who come to the Father must come by faith through HIM alone.

God is Loving and Holy and a Righteous Judge simultaneously. Everyone will stand before the Lord they can do it today " for today is the day of salvation or they can do it then when every knee shall bow and confess Jesus Christ is Lord. Now I looked up that word in the Greek " Every" and it means EVERY! those who have died in the sea in the earth no matter where they are they will stand before the Great White Throne Judgement and BE Judged.

It would be nice IF the idea of annihilationism were true BUT Jesus said hell is real and eternal. Those who do not accept Jesus Christ as Lord will be sent to a place that was created NOT for Man but for the Devil and will be there forever.

To teach one otherwise is very dangerous with eternal consequences. TO look at parables to weaken the position and context in the word of God of an eternal Punishment when all parables were said after Jesus said truth and used a story to bring understanding not to suggest it was all symbolic or metaphorical is an abandonment of the full context why Jesus said the parables in the first place.

Jesus taught and corrected Pharisees then gave parables to draw in those who were actually hearing what HE was saying.

The Pharisees were like those of the teaching of annihilationism they would not hear what Jesus said then when HE spoke the truth they said it was from the devil.

hell is the place of conscious, eternal torment where people experience God's punishment for their sin. Yes, hell is "the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matt 25:41), but also for those who join them in their rebellion against God (Matt 11:20–24). The horror of hell is such that Jesus says, "if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire" (Mark 9:43). For those who do not enter the narrow door of faith and repentance in Jesus (Luke 13:24) a place of weeping and gnashing teeth awaits them (Luke 13:28).

At the end of human history, everyone will appear before Jesus Christ, where he will divide humanity into "sheep" (those who demonstrate their faith in Jesus through their good works) and the "goats" (those who did not trust in Jesus Christ). The sheep will receive eternal life, while the goats "will go away into eternal punishment" (Matt 25:46).

Jesus uses strong language about hell because it is real and unspeakably horrible. But he not only warned of the dangers of hell; he offered the way out. He lived a life of perfect obedience, died a sacrificial death on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead to defeat sin, death, and the devil. He invites everyone to trust in him to receive eternal life rather than the eternal punishment that everyone deserves for their sin (John 3:16-17).

Hell is real and eternal. To speak of it not as Jesus said it is, will cause one to stumble or fall. Jesu was so clear that HE said those who cause such children to stumble, it is better a large stone was chained to your neck and cast into the sea, it better for that to happen.

You see no use in living by the principles Jesus taught that we are to embrace as a saved/born again person?
How does this comment relate to what I stated? Jesus preached eternal Hell and eternal Hell fire. Christians must do exactly the same. That is a part of the Gospel message (see John 3:16). "Perish" = eternal damnation. Therefore we have these words of Christ (Mk 16:15, 16): And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

True. This is another ploy of the devil to deceive people. The Word of God cuts through all this rubbish and presents the truth. But the naysayers have no problem making Christ a liar, while claiming to honor Him.

The eternal punishment people wish the verse above read “..that God may be all in all…except for the evil people and demons burning in the Lake of Fire, ‘cause, you know, God can’t be evil and stuff so it really doesn’t mean “all”. Schwew! That was close! P.S. Please disregard the verse about Hell being thrown into the Lake, too. We want that lake smokin’ hot forever so we can scare more liberals. Kthnx. Bye.”

That is exactly what it means. The Lake of Fire (Hell) is in "outer darkness" where there is "weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Please disregard the verse about Hell being thrown into the Lake, too.
Do you even know what that means? That word "hell" in that verse is actually "Hades". So in what sense will Hades be METAPHORICALLY cast into the Lake of Fire? Since Hades is the present abode of the unsaved and lost, when they all stand before the Great White Throne, they will represent the contents of Hades. And when they are all cast into the Lake of Fire, then Hades has no further use, therefore it is metaphorically cast into the Lake of Fire. Just as Death is metaphorically cast into the Lake of Fire. There will be no more death on earth, therefore no more need for Hades (the place of departed souls and spirits who are not in Christ).

The Bible calls the lake of fire the second death. There's no reason to complicate the scripture by bending meanings to suit what you believe they symbolically mean, especially when there's no evident reason to prefer an alternative to the plain text.

Revelation 21:8
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

For example, you would have us believe death isn't death just to protect your eternal torment doctrine. See how that doesn't really protect the integrity of the scriptures? Annihilationism is sola scriptura.

Perish equals total destruction. We may never agree on this. Apollumi = to destroy utterly.

How do you propose we do the same as Christ? Are you gong to walk on water, raise the dead, and get crucified too??? You said:
If everyone who sinned would be simply annihilated, then there would be no need for the Gospel, nor the Lake of Fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. That is a patently absurd idea, because it comes with the implication that Jesus died for nothing if the utter destruction of the dead (which is what Scripture states in a multitude of places from beginning to end) is what really happens, and makes being a Christian of no value to you. You really ought not to say such things.

Paul said we should do as He did, and how many times in all his books (about a third of the NT) did he preach eternal conscious torment via hellfire damnation? Did he ever even use the word hell? No, he did not. Paul, who claimed he was caught up into heaven and given the Gospel directly by Jesus, that all men would be judged according to his gospel, that he had declared to people the whole counsel of God, that he kept back nothing profitable from the people he taught, and that he was the apostle to the gentiles... never once used the word hell. Paul uses the Greek word "Hades" in 1 Corinthians 15:55, where it is translated "grave." (KJV)
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? In Galatians 1:8, he says: But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. So what does that make you?

Dear Lucy, a spirit being can't continue to burn as it isn't matter--ONLY matter burns. Again, "no one can see God and live." --they will be destroyed simply by being in His presence at the judgment. Also as I said, quoting the angel in Revelation "There will be no more sorrow and no more tears. " NO MORE. Everything is made new--no more sin, sorrow or death. Why would anyone want to believe other wise?
Hi...
Genuine question...
Are we not going to be given a new body in heaven , as our flesh and body are sinful and cannot enter heaven in our earthly body...
If so , will not those who go into the lake of fire be given also a new body ?

Annihilation is good news for atheists, it gives them exactly what they want. They die and they cease to exist.
Jesus said there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when they are thrown into the darkness...
Seems to me those in the lake of fire will be very aware...
People in hell I believe will be gnashing their teeth in rage against God , they can never become holy nor sorrowful , they heart will grow more wicked , because there is no saving grace for them...

I believe in eternal torment, as probably most of us do here. But this guy lays out a pretty good argument for annihilation.

I've heard a number of arguments, none of which hold water on close examination. This subject has been gone over enough times surely. The prospect of hell is God's incentive plan for sinners. I'll leave it at that.

On the Mount of transfiguration , Moses and Elijah appeared in bodily form before the Resurrection and also when Jesus was talking about Lazarus in Abraham's bosom , He mentioned Lazarus finger , and the rich man with taste and smell...
Just a thought...
