Been thinking about the importance of the resurrection of Christ. Romans 10:9 says that believing in the resurrection of Christ is necessary.

I just feel like I haven't seen a lot of discussion on the importance of the resurrection of Christ.

I have seen a lot about the message of the cross and the blood of Christ, but the resurrection of Christ is so crucial.

1 Corinthians 15:14
14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

It's so important that our faith is in vain without the resurrection.

I agree without the resurrection, the death would be just another decaying body.

What has fully sparked your interest or something you have learned?

What sparked my interest is that I'm really looking forward to the return of Jesus.

So many of the later prophets draw on elements of the Passover/Exodus narrative including John in Revelation.
They use terms & phrases from the Passover/Exodus when referring to the latter days and judgements.
I believe they expected their audience would be familiar with the elements of that story & Moses' prophecies.

my book on empires (Rise and Fall A history of the world in Ten Empires) was a bit of mish mash.
It did mention the Bible round the time of the Roman Empire and also Mesopotamia (Akkadian) but nothing with scripture in relation to the later empires.

According to the book there were about ten

Akkadian
Roman
Umayyad and Abbasid Caliphates
Mongol
Yuan Dynasty
Aztec
Ottoman
British
Russian
American

Not sure how all of these relates to the statue in Daniels Prophecy, cos in this book its not even mentioned. If there is a good book that explains it (with maps?) I would be interested.

I did learn somethings though. America and Russia hated each other and the Vietnam and Korean wars were cos they were fighting each other. But they didnt want to do it on their own soil so they just used another country. Plus they nearly blew up the entire world in the cuban missile crisis. Great.
